Terrible experience, first we get booked on to the wrong exam, then when my daughter took the second paper of her exam she was given the wrong paper, I agree she should have realised this sooner but she raised her hand in the middle of her exam when she realised she was given the correct paper which she then had less time to complete. When I raised this with the centre I was told it didn’t happen and the invigilator hadn’t made a report of it, after weeks of waiting for them to check if the the correct paper was sent to mark and to find out what happens if she fails the exam after the issues we have had we don’t feel we should have to pay twice when she’s not had a proper go at it we were told the situation didn’t occur and there’s nothing they can do. Additionally to calling my daughter a liar, not following procedure and covering up the mess by not contacting me back for weeks builders were outside whilst my daughter took the exam and were noisy, we were told a special consideration requests were being sent off for all members in the exam but today I was asked again if I would like this to happen so it’s never been put in place for the students who took the exam with all the background noise. This centre is corrupt!!! Not professional at all and I have asked for a full investigation into things

since my original review im still being fobbed off they are calling my daughter a liar saying the correct papers were given from the start, they can't tell me where the higher paper she filled in originally is either.... this is fraudulent activity if the paper has been handed in because the original candidate didn't do it! I have asked time and time again for things to be escalated and time and time again im getting the same response, they have checked and it didn't happen they don't seem to grasp what has actually happened because when they email me they have irrelevant remarks in there email about how originally my daughter had asked to sit a GCSE but couldn't because of her age so she did an IGCSE, we know what exam she was taking she was just given the wrong paper to fill in. I will be contacting trading standards about them. i won't be dropping it like they keep trying to do

Words cannot comprehend how terrible this company is. They take weeks to respond to basic requests, and no-one is helpful, even at director level.
My theory is that they are simply unable to cope with the demand for students wanting to take exams out of the school system.
I’d advise people currently experiencing issues with T&E to look at the JCQ .org website and see if you have a local alternative.

We were recommended by Oxbridge to register with Tutors&Exams for our daughter (C) to take 3 A levels in Summer 24: French (booked directly by us) and chemistry and biology booked by Oxbridge. I will gloss over the fact that we had to argue with T&E as they had booked Chem and Bio at the same time but at different locations…..
C is a native French speaker, living in France and having been schooled there all her life, both in the state system and then at an international school where she obtained a 7 out of 7 for French at her international baccalaureate (IB). Things started badly with T&E when French was assigned to a location diametrically opposite her Chem and Bio one, and we ended up paying £289 to secure the same location. That was followed by being given a time and date for her oral at, once more, the wrong location which we again tried to get changed, and only after we posted on Facebook did T&E react and give us the choice of time to suit us, which they then agreed to. Flights were booked accordingly, but 2 weeks before the date we were informed that it was no longer to be 9am but 15.00, which would have resulted in a missed return flight. This was flagged up immediately, but silence until 5 days before the due date, when finally T&E engaged with us, and after lengthy negotiations, 1 day before her flight they organised a suitable time. As to the results : she got 95% in her oral, but one of her papers was returned unmarked and the other scored a C, so she failed with an overall U. We asked - and paid for - copy scripts on 3rd September to see how she could have failed, but to this day we have not been sent them, and we are now well past the date when a re-mark could have been requested. I would never recommend this company, it’s been a shambles, and we have taken the matter up with Trading Standards.

An update … we have now contacted Trading standards. After losing our daughters A level papers and ignoring numerous attempts by ourselves to get some kind of response/explanation we have taken this matter further. They hope we will just go away but this is our daughter’s future. So I strongly recommend that you avaoid at all costs.

The company was ok for the exams but terrible for after exam support. The Romford centre did not respond to queries by phone or email. When you call you are holding on for a long time and they cut you off.

Terrible service

We needed information re where to sit for the exams. Although the outcome was not successful as to the place due to reasons not dependent on Tutors and Exams, indeed the service of Tutors and Exams was impeccable. Very efficient, thorough, respectful and patient. I heartily recommend.

Horrible service.
My student and parents are struggling with this exam center.
The examiner was non-native speaker in Spanish, so my student really struggled in her IGCSE Spanish Speaking to understand him.
(My student was fluent in Spanish and she learnt Spanish with me, Spanish native speaker so, the issue was clearly with the examiner).
What's more, they informed me by phone that the examiner was NOT native so I have the proof.
They DON'T want to take any responsibility of their mistakes and they give WRONG info to exam board, in this case to Pearson.
As other reviews, we asked for a special consideration to Pearson and they ignored our requirements, as they didn't give the right info BUT just hidding their own failures.
They DON'T even answer my emails...
As working with minors, under UK law, it is a crime these tactics and we will take legal action against them if it is needed.

We had an awful experience; a total failure of administration resulting in untold stress and anxiety. We had to ask them to submit a special consideration to the exam board. Under GDPR rules I have now seen what was sent to the exam board and it was incorrect and a cover up for their own failings. So I can now add deceit to incompetence.

For the last two years, the Taunton centre have been nothing short of brilliant. Kind, welcoming and supportive of candidates and parents, it's a home from home. The staff deserve praise because this centre does all it can to help people, and sometimes, that can be under a huge weight of candidate numbers and workload.

This is a terrible organisation! I arrived at the Wimbledon exam center on 10th May 2024 ( I had paid, months ago, for a nearby hotel to accommodate) only to be told I was at the wrong venue and an email had been sent out less than 24hours prior to inform me of the change of location! The email stated that people “may have to” sit exams elsewhere but was not specific to candidate. No attempt to offer transport service.
This happened to many other candidates who also refused to leave the Wimbledon site which had been scheduled since February.
When they finally found me an empty desk they gave me a paper for a different candidate and expected me to complete the paper even though I questioned the paper and said I didn’t not think it was the right one. The invigilator was not helpful at all and made no attempt to locate my paper so I hoped for the best. I have since found out through my own research that it was in-fact the wrong paper and I have still not had a response from Tutors & Exams. I am appalled and deeply upset by this horrendous treatment. There were a number of other issues that added to the stressful situation. Awful awful company! Needs shutting down!

Why is this company allowed to be a venue for sitting exams. On the 16 May 2024 my son plus many many others arrived to sit their GCSE maths exam at the high Wycombe oxford street site. To which they were told that it was not this venue but somewhere else. They said an email was sent out stating this but that was incorrect. An absolute disaster from the start. A helpful lady called Gemma helped by arranging a taxi to take him and his friends to the other location. They were, along with many others, late to the exam which meant they trickled in whilst others were doing their exam.
