The smooth quiet operation was great. But the solar charge seemed to not work properly. The charge percentage would drift and eventually while it said 80-90% it would drop to 5-6%. Next the control panel seems have gotten too wet and stopped responding to button touches or doing random button activations. This has rendered the unit non-operational.

The most important part of the experience is using the motor on my kayak and it’s been wonderful. And the installation was pretty simple

The support has been good has well. While Torqeedo has a very structured system for seeking customer support - it does work well - and the response times are quicker than I expected

I would offer five stars but only being to update the controller with a ‘windows’ based computer is a serious flaw. It’s like saying we only want people that drive chevy’s but not fords.

Torqeedo do has to fix that! I love my Torqeedo but had I known that my Apple based computers, phones, and tablets were basically MOOT, I might have made another purchasing decision.

PLEASE FIX THIS.

We used our four stroke dinghy engine so infrequently it was simply unreliable. Our torqeedo "lights up" every time we need to use the dinghy. Our torqeedo solar panel helps us keep the batteries charged when we are on a mooring. Effective and reliable.

Unit was not suitable for marine use. Tiny pins in cable connection easily damaged and difficult to plug in on moving water or dim light. Plastic prop damaged when torque was applied by motor. Battery very quickly discharged when driving boat against tidal current.

Die Gehäuse Folie löst sich seit Jahren auf sehr unschöne Weise ab.

Ein bei Torqueedo bekanntes Problem, welches inzwischen zwar in Produktion korrigiert wurde, aber Kunden mit 4 Jahre altem Equipment das Nachsehen haben.

Über die offizielle email Adresse, ist das Unternehmen ebenfalls nicht mehr erreichbar und verweist auf die Webseite auf die jegliche Kommunikation zu erfolgen hat.

Hätte ich das geahnt, wäre ich niemals zu Torqueedo gegangen.

Eine wahre Service Wüste..🐪

The staff went to great lengths to make sure had the right parts for my model of motor. excellent customer service

The product is good and service excellent; had some issues with a battery that was damaged in shipment that was replaced without issue. Still sufferring from "range anxiety" using a Travel XP on a 3,300lb Sailboat. Despite advertisement I don't think it is equivalent to a 5Hp gas which I still use for long deliveries.

The Torqeedo 6.0 replaces a 4.0 I previously had. This has been a very reliable motor that is well designed with great functionality. The power is amazing. I have it on a 21’ freighter canoe.

I am very pleased with the Torqeedo motor, battery, and solar panel that I purchased for my sailboat. They have performed well in calm and rough conditions.

I ordered the electric outboard, it came on time, and it worked fine. One note is some plastic broke on the battery due to awkwardness getting the battery in and out of place but it still works fine.

Fun, clean, quiet and reliable. A dream come true.

Great Motor! Good power and battery has good life. My two dislikes are the charger cap does not stay on. Never really has since day 1. Now I use duct tape. The other is the motor overheats often. You can not punch it too often.

The new design with no cable to connect makes it so much easier to assemble.

Works great on our 10 foot dinghy for short trips from anchorage to shore. With the separate battery and motor, it’s possible to load it from the boat into the dink single handed.

A word of Advice/warning to anyone in the UK who is thinking about buying the new Ultralight for their Kayak . If you can go to your local supplier and get them to check that the throttle has the latest update so it can talk to your phone/pad and do automatic updates if it can not get them to update there and then . The reason I say this , is I bought an ultralight along with an 1425 xp battery near on two months ago it came from Golden Arrow southampton who I believe are the main importers . When I got it I saw that the updates where not up to date , so I tried to do it following the video/instructions you see above the throttle would not update . The throttle was sent back and still as not I believe been updated that was near on six weeks ago . I do not know if Torqeedo have a glich or have not come clean , because I have e mailed their HQ and when I ring Torqeedo at Golden Arrow Southampton it seems to be all smoke and mirrors . So please take this advice onboard before you part with your hard earned cash .......Torqeedo for the price that you charge you should look after your customers .
