I am very happy to say that they were very professional regarding my first delivery, which had an issue due to an address error; however, a replacement shipment was sent to my address.
Definitely I'll be ordered more delivery with them.

Lovely fish, very fresh. It reminds me of the quality i used to get in Hong Kong, sadly the UK is not as good at getting fresh fish to the consumer despite us being an island. However The Fish Society manages it so well worth the little extra you pay. I'm convinced if all fish was as fresh we would eat more fish in the UK. Buy with confidence.

I have ordered from Fish Society several times, and mostly have been impressed by the quality. I have given 4 stars because 3 products failed to impress. the premium scampi, raw and battered are expensive and really are bot good. Mushy and actually not nice to eat. Where as the cheaper breaded scampi is amazing. the fish pie is again not pleasant to eat, Watery sauce, which makes the potato topping sloppy, and fish mixture is poor quality. I will buy from the Fish Society again, because there are other good quality products. i highly recommend the breaded scampi. The XXL prawns are really good, and the Lobster tailsd very good value

On average, it's okay, but for the price I paid, I expected better quality. The worst were mussels (really small and not too much to eat, also not cleaned well)

The plaice fillets were smaller than a woman’s hand with virtually no flesh on the five items in the pack.
Other fish ordered look OK. Packaging and delivery was very good.

Received on time but fish defrosted
Asked to contact customer services and they kindly offered a replacement or refund I chose refund and because I froze the fish on receiving them and were still cold to the touch would be safe to freeze and eat which they are. Excellent after service would use again.

All the fish was packed perfectly and still frozen well except a Haddock fillet witch had thawed out but it still tasted to the usual high standard.

On 30th June 2026 I received two 500g packs of Wild Prawns from The Fish Society. but on opening them I was very unhappy to see the BBE date was July 2026 - with a Freezing date of December 2023. This means the prawns have been frozen for two and a half years - and must be eaten within the next 30 days. The very maximum boxed frozen prawns should be kept for is 18 months, and it is accepted that they will degrade considerably during that time. These have been kept frozen for a whole year longer than that, which means they will be seriously degraded, and the whole kilo of prawns must be eaten within 30 days otherwise they will not be fit for consumption.

I immediately emailed the Company with my complaint to give them the opportunity to address the problem, but a week later they have not even acknowledge my email. It would appear the Company is very happy to supply expensive seafood that is borderline rotten. As a customer ordering online one is unable to see the freezing date prior to purchase therefore I would strongly suggest, if you want frozen fish of an acceptable quality, you should avoid this Company.

First time of using and ordered a couple of packets of Sardines and was so impressed that I ordered a box of prawns. The lot didn't disappoint. So now I have purchased a separate freezer to fill with seafood.
