Why sell a warranty that covers up to the value of the car (15,900) but then saying it is not economical for you to repair the vehicle.

You could put a new engine and a gearbox into the car for less than that and it would likely solve the issue.

I still havnt been told what’s wrong with my car. I have requested a breakdown of why they want to refund me my money and what the. Problems are with the car.

Communication is terrible should really do better. Am still awaiting contact to be told what is going on. I am currently speaking with my solicitor to see what my best options are. Selling a £16,000 car and then giving a very half arsed attitude to repairing the faulty car they sold me is un acceptable.

Great service from beginning to end. The communication and online options were great too. The staff and customer service was great.

I never thought I’d have a 5 star experience buying a car but Brayden & Vass at Sytner Select Nottingham have proved me wrong! From the moment I entered the showroom the service I received from Brayden was brilliant, he was professional & knowledgeable, answered my questions honestly & openly and made the whole process enjoyable. I never felt that I was getting the ‘hard sell’, rather that he genuinely wanted me to be happy with my purchase. Even the final discussion around price and ‘add-ons’ was handled well by both Brayden & Vass. There were a few bits that needed sorting before I could take the car away, and these were handled speedily with great, pro-active communication. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to Brayden for my next car.

Absolutely disgraceful experience. Avoid this dealership at all costs.

They are all smiles and friendly when they want your money, but once they’ve sold you a car, don’t expect any help.

Jack Lee the sales man has not even Contacted us once we made this purchase in march and 31st march we collected the vehicle they have been gobbled up our trade in too so we have lost that money too! Disgraceful !

We paid £19,900 for a Kia Sportage GT-Line S, trusting the honesty of the salesperson, Jack. Like most people, we are not paint or bodywork experts, so we bought the car in good faith, believing it had been honestly represented.

A few months into our finance agreement, our circumstances changed and we could no longer afford to keep the car. When we tried to sell it, three professional vehicle buying companies independently inspected it. To our absolute horror, they all identified extensive evidence that the vehicle had previously been repaired after what appears to have been accident damage.

Their findings included:

* Previous repairs to the near-side rear door, quarter panel, tailgate, rear bumper and offside rear door.
* Preparation marks, overspray and paint runs across multiple panels.
* Cracked paint and damaged sealer on the tailgate edge, leaving an area vulnerable to water ingress and future rust.
* Evidence suggesting the offside rear quarter may have been replaced, with a clear cut line visible in the roof above the offside rear door.

This was completely unknown to us when we purchased the vehicle.

As a result, we have had no choice but to sell the car at a £3,000–£4,000 loss because the stress and financial impact became too much.

When we contacted Sytner Select, they showed no interest whatsoever. Their response was that we should have inspected the vehicle more thoroughly before buying it. That is an outrageous position to take. The repairs had clearly been disguised well enough that multiple ordinary buyers would never have spotted them. We relied on the dealership’s honesty and reputation, and they have completely let us down.

The way we were spoken to was dismissive, patronising and completely lacking in customer care. Rather than taking responsibility or even investigating our concerns properly, they simply tried to blame us.

We will now be pursuing a complaint through the Financial Ombudsman Service and any other appropriate avenues in an attempt to recover some of the financial losses we have suffered.

This has been an appalling experience from start to finish. We feel completely misled and would strongly urge anyone considering buying a vehicle from this dealership to think very carefully before doing so.

Visited Sytner Select Nottingham looking to replace car. Tyrell the adviser there was the best customer adviser/car sales that I have ever dealt with. Going back in September to make sure the replacement car is done with him. Very knowledgeable about everything car wise and has made it easier to decide what car is to be purchased. Thanks Tyrell

Shocking experience. Bought a polo for my son, cost £11.5k. Was sold with faulty clutch and unaligned breaks. The car keeps cutting out which means it is dangerous to drive, especially for a new driver. Sytner say there isn’t a problem when there clearly is. I have one very upset 17 year old who is still paying for a car he daren’t drive. AVOID

We reported a fault with the transmission on my daughter's recently purchased used VW polo. This was from Sytner Select Nottingham. After driving for some time, the gears would not change at all, frequently causing traffic jams and hazardous situations. We were repeatedly told that technicians could not find a fault - but that they had only driven the car (we're not sure for how long), not actually inspected the clutch. When my own mechanic did a thorough inspection, he found the fault and ordered a replacement clutch and a replacement for a part that was leaking fluid into the gearbox. The service desk never seemed to answer their phones - I sat on hold repeatedly for hours and eventually had to take time out of work to go to Sytner Select in person, where I found that they were unfriendly to deal with. We felt completely brushed off and that our concerns were irrelevant. My daughter had to drive this car up to a new job in Leeds a week later - she was nervous about driving it, and we were too, knowing that it had a fault which Sytner seemed unwilling to inspect properly. We are angry that they were prepared to risk her safety in this way: the consequences could have been catastrophic. I have since tried to contact the company regarding our complaint and again I am getting no reply. Their invitation to use Whatsapp has produced nothing and we have not recieved the service documentation that was promised over a fortnight ago. Someone else on here has said that once you drive away, they want nothing to do with you. That is definitely how we feel at this point. Please could you at least employ more people to answer the phones?

Staff were polite and professional, the work carried out was very quick without compromising quality. Very pleased.

I collected my new car today as a repeat customer, I was looking for a slightly bigger car (previously had a C3 bought from here) I went to the same sales person Ethan who was extremely helpful and recommended a Geely EX5. I ended up choosing a pre reg one and it’s lovely! I would recommend them to family and friends and will ask for them again when I go to buy a new car in the future!

We simply cannot fault the service we received from both the sales person Matthew and the sales manager Adam. From arrival through to completion of purchase we feel our experience couldn’t have been any better. We would certainly recommend Sytner Select Nottingham for their professionalism, quality of stock and accommodating our needs.

I recently enquired about a vehicle and had plenty of correspondence with one of your sales team (Brayden) explaining my interest and finding out more about about the car. I explained my interest in viewing the car and arranged to see it on 14/6/26 where he informed me he was not in as it was his day off. He then said I could purchase an extended reservation fee of £500 which I was happy to pay on 10/06/26. On the 12/06/26 I was sent a text with the link to pay the reservation fee which I did @11:07 then I received confirmation @11:12. Then @14:21 Brayden emailed me informing me the same vehicle was reserved in-house on the same day. I am now £500 out of pocket and was told I had to wait nearly a week to receive my payment back. This is such poor service for a company like this. IF I COULD RATE 0 I WOULD.

Bit skeptical at first cause of the older reviews but went for it as I’d finally found the exact spec I was looking for. Kaleem was my salesman and he was top class from day one. There were no biases despite the fact I was 18 and buying a powerful car.

The salespeople could maybe be a bit more versed on the cars as they had to check a few details and phone back but I’m not surprised as they have loads in stock. Despite this, he was always eager to help and would get back to me really quickly.

MOT had less than 6 months so he’s speaking to my local BMW dealers now about the invoice and paying for it.

I had the pleasure to meet Mathew Tomy,part of the sales team, who helped me purchase my car.
Mathew took the time to listen to my questions and answered them openly and honestly. He had a genuine interest in ensuring the car was suitable for my needs and certainly made me feel valued and respected.
I will have no hesitation in recommending Sytner Nottingham to my friends and family based on this experience.
