Sytner Group - Sytner Newport MINI Omdömen 

AI am very disappointed at my treatment by Sytner Mini,Newport.
I have had 6 or 7 minis from them until now with no problems at all.
The sale was rushed to fit in with month end requirements.
Briefly I bought a second hand car which did not arrive in Newport until late afternoon on 27/6. I saw the outside of the car but no more.
I arranged insurance etc for the car from 1/7 and paid the money I owed Sytner on 27/6.My car was traded in.
I got a call on 30/6 telling me that the deal must be done that day because of Sytner's month end.
The salesman brought the car to my house(I was unwell)did the tax on his tel. and said he would send a copy of the car tax transaction.
Every thing seemed fine.
When I finally got inside the car I found that touching the radio resulted in calling out Mini rescue!
I sent an e mail to the Salesman(not named as you suggest)asking him to call me and go through a few points with me where the car was different etc. also asked for the tax transaction.
He agreed to call on Sunday-I suggested around noon-he did not call so I assumed he was busy and waited for a call in the week.
On Wednesday I e mailed to say I was disgusted at this lack of after care service. I got a reply saying he had called and left messages ,he enclosed a tax transaction copy which I could not open.
I am keeping this neutral but we have been at home all the time we have had no calls or messages-my mobile actually lists them so I can prove this.
I e mailed again on Thursday asking for a copy of tax transaction AGAIN .
I have had no reply so I am left with no proof that I paid the £165 road tax(the last car I had from Sytner Newport was one where I never received an owners doc. and had to pay for a copy years later ). I am also stuck with a radio that calls Mini Rescue if I touch it. I think the previous owner must have downloaded something and it has not been adjusted. The mini is in warranty so I suppose I must contact Mini to have it put right .
I must stress that I had my first mini from Newport in 2004 and have never had any problems until now . I have always has good service -I thought I was having the same this time but as soon as they had my money and car I have been ignored.
After my review was published I received a reply on 12/7 from the manager of Sytner telling me that it was not the level of service they gave. He also said that he had told the Mini Manager to contact me today (12/7) to sort things out,
I am really sorry to say that NO ONE has contacted me .I thought perhaps he was on holiday, last week it was hot but today is July 26th.Amazing isn't iT?

A pleasure working with the two ladies recently involved with the purchase of a Mini Clubman Cooper. A major purchase that was pleasantly handled with your colleagues Louise and Tilly.
Going through various options on finance and insurance and treating any of my negative responses politely.
Responding pleasantly to minor queries I had a few days after the purchase.

When I picked up my car I was supported by a young man called Jack Quinn. He was extremely helpful, courteous and professional at all times. He's a real asset to your team. Nothing was too much trouble.

bought an Electric Mini at SYTNER MINI Newport they were very helpful however you will need a fair bit of patience as there is a bit of waiting list something like six months but its worth the wait Louise was very helpful and kept us informed at all times and arranged to have it delivered to us drove the car to our house and went through everything very helpful

Changing my Mini - John Cooper Works - for a Electric Mini Cooper S was so easy. My petrol Mini Was 3 years old-time to move on. Waiting For floor mats. Contacted James Chesworth re Charger with more power Hope.to get this sorted this week as the £350 grant ends at end of March. Jake is sorting out mats

I recently bought a used mini cooper clubman from Sytner in Newport - I went in on the weekend in the first instance and was dealt with promptly and politely. They were super keen to help test drive and the handover was simple and efficient. They had a large stock of high quality minis and buying from the dealer although more expensive was attractive because of the quality of the car, 12 months warrantee and sense that if anything went wrong it would be fixed without the usual nonsense. Excellent communication, did exactly what they said they would do, simple as that.

Excellent customer service from Delisha, Jack and James. Knowledgeable sales staff but never "pushy". Really took the time to find out what would suit us best. Great communication.
Our first Mini and probably the best experience of buying a car in 30 years. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Very good customer service. We were kept informed through out the process, including delays (which we’re out of anyones control).

Needed a bonnet release cable for an elderly (17-year-old) 1-Series. Ryan, in the Parts Department, couldn’t have been more helpful. Quickly identified the component in question, could source one for collection at 9am the following day, and all with change from £20!!

The sales person, Delisha, was really clued up on the technical details and also very understanding when it came to my needs and preferences. The combination made the whole process (including transferring my number plate) easy and stress-free.

We purchased a mini from Sytner Newport in October 2021. There were some issues over the trade in of our car but this was resolved in November. After repeated phone calls and e-mails we have still not received the VC5 log book and only just received the second key (10th January 2022).
There was threatening language over the trade in and lack of response to our calls and e-mails. The car we bought is great but the customer service was pitiful and the whole experience stressful (and not yet over).

Had a great experience buying my new car and part exchanging my old car. No hard selling and the whole transaction was done seamlessly and efficiently. Car arrived ahead of schedule which was a bonus!
