Sytner Group - Porsche Centre Chester Omdömen 

Despite coming in early at 8:30 am, had to wait about 25 minutes to be attended to. This meant I was late for work. Otherwise, provision of courtesy car, customer service advisor paperwork were fine. On collecting the car, however, the service booklet was not stamped, dated and signed and I had to chase this up. Not really sterling service for a Porsche Centre. Unfortunately, this has been the case for 3 visits now - so not an aberration.

The staff were all very helpful. I was made to feel very special and no high pressure sales which was nice. Nothing was too much trouble nice atmosphere throughout the building. My sales person Alan mcCarthy made my experience very good

Alan is more like a friend than a salesman, I trust him with all my car purchases, and look forward to buying from him again.

How up to date is the MCP software on your car and does it show 20 mph roads or even major routes that have reduced speed from 70 to say 60 or 50?

I am on my fifth 718 over a solid 19 year period all bought from this dealership with the most recent one being a 23 plate and from order and deposit paid due to the chip shortage delivery took 22 months which was nobodies fault. chances are without this delay I might have been on my sixth by now but in view of events over the last 12 months I think that is highly unlikely. Do they care..... I doubt it very much.

Almost a year ago I noticed an issue with the MCP not reflecting the correct speed limits in particular those reduced to 20 mph. I rarely use the route guidance but in an unfamiliar area I was conscious that some changes had been made. Monitoring the roads and the local speed my car was showing 30 mph on roads that had been changed a year earlier to 20 mph.

Turns out the software on my 23 plate car was a 2020 version with no updates. Almost a year on despite 2 chip changes in the dealership I am no further forward and indication my car would be booked in again on either the 16th or 19th of this month, which were dates proposed over 4 weeks ago, they have come and gone with no appointment and if the MCP is to believed I continue to travel on the sea and then through fields to get to my house as the roads which are now 20 mph have vanished off the screen.

Porsche AG are not in the least bit interested when I escalated this to them in August. I don't believe I am special and this is a one off. My suspicion is that more people are impacted which could have serious consequences not to mention a cost impact for Porsche.

Porsche UK, and in particular Shane, have been very helpful but the issue continues with Porsche Chester who appear to have washed their hands over the issue having twice tried and failed to replace the chip and bring the software up to date I can only assume that they have decided to give up without any further discussion on the matter.

Maybe it is now for me to start working my way around the other UK dealerships to see who is going to fix this issue or perhaps a road trip to the front door of Porsche AG would be more appropriate.

From the moment I walked in to the Porsche Centre, Chester the customer service was exemplary, from the initial greeting (Sophie) to Michelle, who dealt with my car undergoing a diagnostic check throughout the day (and everyone in between who literally couldn’t do enough).

From the moment we met him, he was absolutely exceptional. He spent hours with us, taking the time to answer every single question we had, no matter how big or small. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and his patience, knowledge and attention to detail were outstanding throughout.

Welcoming location and staff. Sales team could not do enough to help with vehicle review and providing detail of various options available. Every one was so polite and went above and beyond to help and make you feel valued and heard. Extra steps were taken to make a collection special for us which I can't thank the team enough for.

The six year service was completed on time and exactly to budget. Staff we met were very friendly and efficient.

I only wanted an MOT which took 4 hours to complete. I wanted my health check information and the video as promised. Unfortunately I still have not received them. I will not be taking my car there for an MOT again.

i rang up to book my car in for all my tyres to be changed . They fitted me in and I arrived and 1.20 on on Monday 5th October. I was greeted by reception
And took a seat and waited to be seen
I was informed that they would not start my car for another 30 mins due to the mechanics break , no issue for me then she went through form which showed the cost of the tyres which was different from the quote I was given over the phone , which I should of highlighted at the time
It was different by a few pounds ., plus I was asked if I wanted the car cleaned and I said yes .
At 2.50 pm I spoke to reception about how much longer and they said about an hour . I then received my car back at 4.40 pm. Not cleaned .
I mentioned about the price not being correct and was told unfortunately they could not do anything about that I mentioned could they check with the lady I spoke to when she is in tomorrow as I do not want her to think I make these things up . She said she would . I have heard nothing . When I spoke to the lady about how long it should take to change four tyres she did say they allow 2 hours 30 mins which I thought was quite along time
She did apologise about not explaining to me from the beginning that it was going to take that length of time to complete.

Tom was absolutely incredible from my initial enquiry to sending me video of the first car I chose. I then changed my mind on that car and cancelled the sale. I then Had buyers remorse and found a more expensive car that I circled back to Tom on and he was the utmost professional and sold the car to me. His communication and efficiency throughout the whole process was above anything I have ever experienced buying a car even down to the bottle of bubbles and the full tank of fuel. I did not get any of this when I bought my last car from Porsche Mayfair 7 months ago. Bravo Tom!. Will definitely be coming to him in 12 months when I want to trade.
