A note on the COVID-19 pandemic

We hope you are staying safe during this challenging and unforeseen time across the globe. We would firstly like to thank you for your patience and support as we work to respond to the thousands of individual customer queries, booking amendments and refunds.

We would like to note that due to Coronavirus outbreak, we have received a huge volume of contact from customers who are concerned about how their holiday is affected. It may take us longer than usual to respond at the moment, but rest assured we are working hard to reply to every customer query as quickly as we can.

When will I receive my refund?

We're working as quickly as possible to get any money back to those customers who are owed a refund. In many cases, we are waiting for the money for the cost of flights to be refunded by the airline.

Additionally, unlike many other travel companies, Sunshine.co.uk is offering eligible customers a full cash refund alongside the option to move their holiday to a later date.

The ongoing situation with Covid-19 is unprecedented and affecting us all in many different ways. We truly appreciate the patience and support of all of our customers during this challenging time.

Best prices and lowest deposits

Low deposits are a great way to get booked onto a wonderful holiday and easy payment plans to pay it off. Cheapest site I've found for my holidays whether solo or family trips.

You get what you pay for !

Quite easy to book a holiday , but not so when needing to speak to someone !
Have used them a few times now and not had ant problems so far !!!
Alot of the hotels are the lowest of the low but you get what you pay for !

Budget travel company

Budget travel company that is slightly cheaper than the rest. Have to use the airline app/website, that they book you in with, to check in for your flights. Fiddly but easy enough. No reps in resort but have online assistance should you experience difficulties.

As an online travel agent, we don’t operate the flights ourselves. Schedule changes, aircraft decisions, seating upgrades and onboard services are all managed directly by the airline, and these can sometimes be amended outside of our control.


When a flight change is made by the airline, customers are offered the available alternative provided to us. While we understand your frustration regarding the change from an afternoon to a morning flight, any difference in fare isn’t something we’re able to refund when the change comes directly from the airline.


We’re also sorry to hear about your experience trying to upgrade seats and onboard payment issues, though these services are handled entirely by the airline.


We appreciate your feedback and understand this wasn’t the experience you were hoping for.

Since 3 weeks I’m getting emails from you guys saying there has been a major change to my holiday days / times yet nobody is reaching out to tell me what the actual change is . Trying to get through a human via your website is absolutely impossible.

Today however you managed to contact me to say I need to pay my balance otherwise my holiday will be cancelled. I have made the full payment, yet nobody is reaching out to let me know whether my holiday is going ahead.

Absolutely shocking with no customer care at all. Can someone reach out asap ?? How else to report this company pls ??

We completely understand how concerning it must be to receive multiple notifications about a “major change” without any clear explanation of what that change actually is—especially when you’ve already made full payment and are being asked for further action.


To clarify, when airlines make schedule changes, these are sent to us and then worked through by our team in departure date order. This means customers travelling sooner are contacted first, which can sometimes cause delays in us reaching out with full details. However, we absolutely appreciate that receiving repeated alerts without clear information is far from ideal.


Regarding your balance, if your payment has been successfully made, please be reassured that this will be reflected on your booking. The payment reminder may have been triggered automatically before the system fully updated.


That said, you should not be left in the dark about your holiday. We’d strongly recommend reaching out to us via social media with your booking reference SUN14576740B, where a member of our team can prioritise your case and provide full details of any changes, along with your available options.


We’re genuinely sorry for the lack of clear communication here and the difficulty you’ve had trying to speak to someone—your feedback is important, and we are taking it on board.

Stressful time pre holiday

Stressful time pre holiday, received email 14 days prior to leaving saying flight has been cancelled you do not have to do anything we will be back in touch, heard nothing for 12 days, I tried contacting but you can only chat online and could not get answers when / or if we are going on holiday. Could still book seats on same flight through airline so I managed to check in,so we took chance and drove the 150 miles to Edinburgh to find no problems with flight, shocking deal from Sunshine holidays could not contact anyone, cost me £80 more than should have due to last minute car parking and a lot of stress would have been 300 mile round trip for nothing if flights cancelled,

Shocking customer service

I booked a holiday through sunshine holidays and have noticed that my outbound flight has been cancelled. I've still to be told by sunshine holidays that this is the case and we fly out in less than 3 weeks. I've tried contacting them, but all I can speak to is a BOT. This was almost a week ago and I have yet to receive any correspondence from them. Absolutely shocking way to treat customers. All I want is my money back and i am getting nowhere!!!

I am extremely disappointed with the…

I am extremely disappointed with the way my refund has been handled by Sunshine. What should have been a straight forward process has dragged on for months with no resolution. My flights and airport were changed, yet despite this, I have been stuck going round and round in circles trying to get my money back.

It is incredibly frustrating that there is no clear way to speak to a real person, only a bot that does not resolve anything! On multiple occasions, I have been told that my refund has been processed, yet it is still not in my bank account!

The lack of communication, accountability and basic customer service is unacceptable. This experience has been stressful and time-consuming. I have had to take time off work hours and days on end trying to contact a human being at this company! I would not recommend this company to anyone based on how poorly this situation has been handled.

Today, yet again I have tried to get through to a human being and still being sent round and round in circles by a bot!

Still no response so yet again still just say so
