I’ve just purchased a new Mercedes GLC…from the Hamilton branch where the service from Callum Adair was exemplary…transitioning from old car was stress free with assistance on hand any time I needed it . I cannot recommend this branch highly enough I’ve purchased several cars over the years and everyone is so friendly and welcoming I cannot speak highly enough of my experiences past and present !

The lady on reception was extremely friendly and helpful , as was the service advisor . I asked if I could collect my car at 4pm if possible. I received a text around 3-30pm advising my car was ready for collection as requested

Our experience with Mercedes-Benz Hamilton was extremely poor from the moment we placed a deposit. Communication was appalling, promised callbacks never happened, and we constantly had to chase for updates. We were even given service history because the salesman, Chris, had a “friend who worked at Volkswagen”, which hardly inspired confidence.

We were asked to pay 24 hours before collection despite outstanding damage and faults. We agreed to pay once we received a video of the repairs that morning, ahead of afternoon collection.

I booked a flight from London specifically to support my mother with the purchase. At 10:30am on collection day, we were told the video would take another hour while the car was valeted. Despite repeated calls and promises that it would arrive shortly, including one that it would be in our inbox within five minutes, it never arrived. We eventually had to visit the dealership at around 4:30pm ourselves to ensure the sale was completed before closing.

We raised our concerns with business manager Ross, who apologised but explained that salespeople must prioritise customers in the showroom. That doesn’t excuse repeatedly making promises and failing to deliver. Despite our experience, Ross refused to remove any of the admin, used vehicle or petrol fees and accepted that we would leave a negative review.

Other issues included the previous owner’s full name still being present in the car, wet seats at collection, missing car mats and a disappointing handover where Chris seemed unfamiliar with the vehicle’s features. We were later told the delay was due to stain removal, something that would have been understandable had it been communicated honestly from the start.

Most of this could have been avoided with basic communication and customer care. If the car itself hadn’t been impressive and we hadn’t needed a vehicle quickly, we would have walked away based on our experience with both Chris and manager Ross.

Buying a used car should not mean accepting such a poor standard of service. I would not recommend Mercedes-Benz Hamilton based on our experience.

Great service from Scott and the rest of the team. Friendly, professional and respectful. Would definitely be back in the future.

I was looking at a couple of cars outside of the branch as I was walking by when Laura saw me and asked if I needed any help. I was only having a look but I just wanted to say how friendly and helpful she was. Really lovely customer service!

Absolutely dreadful experience.
I chose Mercedes-Benz of Hamilton because it is close to where I live and I had used them before. Unfortunately, this experience completely destroyed my trust in the service centre.
My car was in for a service and MOT when I was told that both lower suspension ball joints needed immediate replacement and that the car would fail its MOT. I was quoted £493 per ball joint.
I got a second opinion from another garage, which told me the ball joints were in good condition and did not need replacing. I then had an independent MOT carried out — the car passed, and the MOT tester confirmed the ball joints were in very good condition.
I find this extremely concerning and unacceptable. Being advised to spend almost £1,000 on repairs that, according to an independent garage and MOT tester, were not required has completely undermined my confidence in this service centre.
I will not be taking my car back to Mercedes-Benz of Hamilton. Get a second opinion before authorising any expensive repairs

The negotiations to purchase the vehicle were conducted professionally. Despite the considerable amount of paperwork/documentation to be completed the staff carried out their duties competently.

Mercedes Warranty (17 days without a car or the offer of a courtesy car) - There seems to be 3 parts to the claim process. Hamilton Garage (Good) who offer the requirements to the Mercedes Claim team . The Mercedes claim team (Poor) (middle man, who don't seem to be contactable by the customer) and the Main Mercedes Warranty team (Excellent). I had 2 parts failed, one passed through warranty and the other wasn't. This was a spring which had been previously replaced. I challenged this with the garage and they chased the Mercedes claim team. The claim team responded to the garage on the 2/9/26 again saying the spring (estimated £700) wasn't being covered. I called the garage 2/9/26 chasing the repairs up to be told that the Mercedes claim team had written back on Sept 2nd to say that the claim had been refused. I subsequently call the Mercedes Warranty team to ask why? To be told they hadn't refused the claim and that they had told the Mercedes claim team that they should have claimed the works for the spring using the Mercedes parts warranty. I wasn't impressed! The garage did apologise. I've summarised but overall from the Mercedes claim team (middle man) this is not acceptable. Duration 19/8/26 to the 4/9/26

I only popped into Mercedes for a look and a general enquiry, with no real intention of buying anything at the time, but I wanted to leave a review specifically for Laura, the Dealership Coordinator.

Laura was absolutely brilliant. From the moment I arrived she was welcoming, friendly and genuinely helpful, despite knowing I was only having a look. There was no pressure whatsoever — she simply took the time to help me, answer my questions and made me feel completely welcome.

It’s very easy to provide great service when someone is there ready to spend money; I think it says much more when you receive that same level of attention when you’re simply making an enquiry.

Laura is a fantastic ambassador for Mercedes and exactly the sort of person you’d want to meet when walking into a premium dealership.
