Extremely disappointing!!!!!
I had made a special journey of 100 mile round trip only to that the £170.00 part was incorrect.
My email had clearly stated the full
specification required. Some body is not doing their job!!!!!!
I certainly would not recommend this company based on my experience.

I was reviewing about the employee and the service in general I received.
If you say your employee said his experience with me was challenging maybe he dosent like being asked for parts as that's all that happened i needed to buy stuff and our communication was nothing but me making enquiries.. I was fine! I asked for exactly what I needed and even tried to buy the complete seatbelt assembly so I didn't have a wasted journey but was refused and all of our interactions up to that point were fine although your employee not helping or helpful .. if the cars were accessible ... or staff to get bits off for you like the website says then my trip would of been fine (what I came specifically 60 miles to do)
The focus alloy /guy pushing in the queue thing happened when I was queueing for the third time (I should of finished by then anyway as I started the wheel query on my 2nd visit to the desk but was sent away) , it sounds like your also saying im in the wrong for pointing out I was queueing when he finished his conversation with staff friends and stepped in front of me.

Silverlake seems to have lost any pretence at customer service. I was not offended by the crisp eating guy on the initial phone call, or the bored guy on the desk at payment, but then not actually getting what I asked and paid for and basically being told 'hard luck' by the guy when I phoned to complain, made the whole experience feel like there is a fundamental problem with the place. Then again it is a scrap yard, a scrap yard with a big shiny front.

Great experience I wanted a used Hyundai part the item was identified quickly and a price offered. My experience was very positive and will keep silverlake on file for future reference. I experienced good customer service and on top of that my part arrived next day -Brilliant

Bought a car that was meant to be fully functional. Delivered a completely dead vehicle, dumped where you cant park, tried jump starting themselves and left.
Customer services not bothered. Avoid at all costs!

Just driven a round trip of 35 miles to collect one item out of two that were promised as in stock. Neither were there and the guy on the checkout couldn't of cared less. Zero customer service.

Took my failed MOT van to Silverlake for scrap value. Fast, efficient and friendly service. Money was in my bank the next day. Excellent service.

Terrible customer service. I always try to buy from local businesses but Silverlakes just make it to difficult. Asked for a price, which ended up being double that of an eBay item. When i asked if they would closely match it, they refused stating that their prices reflected a parts guarantee. Who ever runs this place, seemingly has never been to a business class, because a guarantee should be the hook that makes me choose Silverlakes over much easier, much cheaper options. There seemingly is no benefit in doing business with them if I can buy twice from other sellers from the convenience of my home.

Very bad customer service.Really unprofessional only pretending to be professionals with bad attitude towards customers. I really don't want to go into what my observation is about this place but there is something definitely wrong from managerial level to general staff.

I must say I am disappointed that key details of damage to the vehicle were missing from the auction listing.

We have just had our report back from the mechanic who said on taking delivery of the vehicle, the drivers door doesn't open and has no window, and the LPG system has had the gas tank removed. None of this was mentioned in the listing. The previous car we bought from Silverlake mentioned the cat was removed but failed to mention that the propshaft was bent to beyond recognition. Contacted to try and get a resolution in place as the missing window is going to cost in excess of £500 to replace, but had no response.

Overall not very impressed with the service received and will be sure to avoid their vehicle's moving forwards.

So I was having trouble with my car, as the steering wheel was vibrating at high speeds. I went to a place and they had told me that there was a buckle in the wheel and therefore I had to replace it, by buying a new alloy wheel. So I wanted a second opinion and went to Silverlake in Southampton. Firstly, the customer service was outstanding that is quite difficult to find elsewhere. I explained what happened in the other place and that I wanted a second opinion. The two guys came out to my car and checked it out, and explained to me the reason why I'm having difficulties. So I payed for the balance on my two wheels. The result was that the other place had not done the job properly, and the guys explained to me, that the other place had missed something that should've been placed on the wheel. They told me that if something was not right on the wheel, when I drive at high speeds, I should return to them and they'll check it out again. However, they had said that it should be alright. I had tried it out and it was working brilliantly. I wasn't just impressed by this but also by the quality of the customer service. I'm happy that I don't need to buy another alloy wheel. Unorganized and no email replies for months
Purchased parts and paid on 20/5/21 and was told they would be shipped the following week. After two months of emails asking for a tracking number with no reply they finally responded saying they still hadn't been shipped. Finally got the tracking number and it's still two months from arriving.

I would advise avoiding this company as they are incompetent and poorly organized.

Really was the best price for my mini cooper. Filled in the online forms & was contacted not long after to explain where to leave keys and logbook. Car was collected next day on a Friday & payed on Monday. People I spoke to were nice & the whole transaction was quick and easy. Silverlake comes highly recommended when scraping your car 👍

I am a fairly new customer here, first impression stays for a long time, so they say, my first experience was with a staff Member by the name of Liam Westlake, apologies if spelling is incorrect somewhere, he displayed customer servise skills that are an envy of many out there, he helped me through my enquiry of the parts I needed to buy, with attention to detail on everything I needed to know from the start to finish, when an item I had already paid forand awaiting delivery was found to have damage, he called to discuss it with me, we then mutually came to a workable solution, he kept on updating me until the parcel was delivered. This alone, told me a lot about the company he works for, its policy and mission statement with regards to customer relations and more, I then made my mind to continue business relationship with Silverlake Automotive Recycling, while spreading the word to everyone I know in need of some parts or anything similar.

They take ages to update the self service yard been waiting for weeks for a Ford transit mk7 as need parts and still nothing, suppose to be one of the biggest scrap yards in Hampshire. Ridiculous wait time. They have hundreds of vans and cars out the back just sat there. Should be more quicker and efficient. The wait goes on still..

I bought a door for a BMW from Silverlake's Ebay page. It was delivered by their own driver, undamaged, and earlier than expected. The price was reasonable too. I will definately consider them again.

Went in on a Saturday afternoon. As the local motor factors didn't have the part I required. I needed my car back on the road ASAP. Was very happy with the service I received from the staff on the "You pick it" counter. Scott went out of his way to ensure I knew where the car that had the parts on I needed was located. Thanks for your help!

Ordered parts took 2 weeks to arrive and they are obviously broken , even a blind man could tell . Sent photos to the First person , never got back to me , After a week phoned and sent photos to the second person' . One week later no reply , phoned again , aaaah yes I see on the computer there is a problem damaged , we have no more of those parts so we collect and refund you, one week later nothing , you are soooo fast taking the money then send broken rubbish and thats about all you do
