Although my car was old
Update. No offer to rectify
Although my car was old, the website said they would give me a fair amount at sale. I underfortuantely missed by appoint due to roadworks. I had my next appointment cancelled due to staff illness. At the actual appointment, despite speaking to several colleagues, none of their pre investigation was completed and I was only offered £100 scrap value. I was offered much more a for for this elsewhere, and I feel this could have been avoided, had any of the advisors I spoke to before hand, completed their necessary checks before hand.

We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the valuation of your vehicle. We appreciate that £100 may have been less than you were expecting however the value we offered was based on the condition of the vehicle and the costs involved in bringing the vehicle up to a suitable standard for resale. In this case, those costs outweighed the potential value of the vehicle which is why the offer reflected a scrap value.
We’re also unclear about the reference to the “pre investigation” and would be happy to clarify this. While we understand you had spoken with staff before your appointment, a final valuation cannot be confirmed without the vehicle being physically inspected.
We would also like to clarify that there was absolutely no obligation for you to sell your vehicle to us. You were free to consider offers from other buyers and we completely understand that you would want to choose the option that offered you the best value.
We’re sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations, but we hope this provides some context around the valuation and the options available to you.

Very satisfying experience
I was met by Hafsa who was nice and welcoming. We sat and chatted about my car then she went and looked around it. After her inspection we went through the valuation. I was expecting a low price start but in the end we met at a fair price for both parties. I would definitely use sell your car 2 jack again. And wouldn't even contemplate the other ones. Thank you

What is frustrating is that these types…
What is frustrating is that these types of selling platforms assumes your 7 year old car to be near showroom condition, before they knock you down. However, we should all go there knowing this. Selling your car to Jack, or Stuart in my case, was however straight forward and actually ok. I expected some sucking of teeth when Stuart perused and drove my car, but it was quite the opposite. He told me how nice it was and clearly explained how the price would be affected by listing the points his system told him….. and therefore what my final price would be. Totally transparent and I couldn’t argue. I left content. Stuart is a credit to your company. A great experience all in all, I would sell to ‘Stuart’ again 😁

Selling my car
Today, I visited this company following an online quote for selling my car, which was better than others received.
I found Mike to be approachable and professional in his manner and he was open to discussing the figure offered. I felt the service was worth while and a fair price. I knew I wouldn’t get the full amount I was aiming for due to the car needing some required work.
There was no fees and payment was prompt, I am very happy with the service I received.
