Good Sales team, knowledgable,and not to pushy.

We were recently in the market for a new sofa, and were pleasantly surprised by SCS Tunbridge Wells. The range and quality has undergone a transformation, having visited all the major brands we found SCS beat the competition hands down. Their sales team were very knowledgeable and in particular Nathan, he was very helpful, putting in the time and effort to get the right sofa configuration for our home, can’t wait for it to be delivered.

Great service very helpful and careful arrived early thumbs up

Having placed an order back in August 2024, furniture arrived on 31st October. That part was fine but we need to do an insurance claim on it but found out even though we paid for the insurance the insurance company have no record of us. SCS haven't sent our details or furniture details over to them. Tried so many times to contact SCS and asked for ring back but still nothing. Totally unimpressed with the lack of customer service and you aren't able to contact store direct either, espically as we have paid for the insurance. Not happy at all

It started off well in the shop in Tunbridge wells, no hard sell all polite and helpfully. Chose the Tenbury settee and 2 chairs, this is where it went wrong slightly, lots of correspondence up to the day of delivery. Day of delivery came and settee was the only thing that came, the delivery drivers were lovely though so not there fault, rang shop to be told, we had been told they would come separately, we were not told this. So not happy with that side of it cause I wouldn't have brought it had known we weren't getting it all in one go. Anyway give the shop credit it did get sorted that day, with our chairs hopefully coming on Friday. I'll update this review if it doesn't happen, as have no confirmation they are coming only the phone call so fingers crossed they do, overall good experience but was soured by some information not being told to us at time of purchase.

Not been delivered. Still waiting..?.to see 👀 it..?..

I was able to try and then select the sofa and chairs that I wanted. Jon was on hand and was very helpful in showing me all the features in the furniture I selected.

We found the showroom staff exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. Ordering with them was easy and straightforward.
The delivery was fantastic! They alerted us the day before, then on the morning they gave a half hour slot when they should be with us, they actually exceeded expectations and arrived more promptly than expected.
The delivery crew were fabulous; they put the sofas together promptly, without any mess and were chatty and polite.
We are very impressed and would recommend ScS to anyone!

We recently visited SCS in Tunbridge Wells on two consecutive days, meeting Nathan on the 26th and Cathy on the 27th. From the start, Nathan was fantastic, showing us different products and taking time to address concerns we had with our previous sofa from another company. His product knowledge and attention to our needs were spot-on, helping us narrow down our choices with ease.

Cathy, whom we saw the next day, was equally attentive and friendly. She seamlessly picked up where Nathan left off, already remembered us from the day before and was informed of my concerns regarding sofa fillings, clearly reflecting the great communication within their team.

Both Nathan and Cathy went the extra mile, ensuring we left feeling confident in our purchase. I highly recommend asking for them if you’re visiting SCS Tunbridge Wells—they truly made all the difference in finding the perfect sofa!

Store was nice and clean and the salesman was friendly but far too pushy. He was knowledgeable and helpful but had his own agenda so we didn’t get to have a full look round without being pounced on as soon as we walked through the door, he just told us which sofas to sit on. We came in to have a look and disclosed we weren’t buying that day and he kept pushing my mum to let him give her a quote regardless of her saying no multiple times and she gave in just so he would stop. He kept mentioning they had sales targets to hit which is so inappropriate to say to customers to push them into buying from you. My mum had said when she didn’t like a sofa he was trying to sell to us and he kept on with talking about how good it would be for us even though she didn’t like it! We said no to multiple things he was trying to push but he kept trying and it was massively off-putting when we do come round to buying, it will be from another company.

I found your servicemen very kind, informative and helpful regarding my wants and needs.

Ordering by phone was also the same.

I look forward to receiving my order between Nov 15th and four weeks later.

Admittedly, this’s quite a long wait.

Excellent service

We can’t praise Cathy enough. From the moment we stepped inside the store she introduced herself and then left us to wander around. She gave us very helpful information when we finally decided on the sofas we wanted and helped us choose the colour and material. Ordering was quick and a very easy process.

Both myself and my husband felt we had a great experience when we visited scs shop at the retail park nr Pembury. We were served by Nathan who was friendly, experienced and knowledgeable about the quality of leather and care plan for the seatee suite which finished in a sale! Thankyou.

Misleading prices.

I went to buy a sofa from the Tunbridge Wells store and I also requested the sofa premium care package which was advertised as only £99 on the sofa. However when the final price was given the price of the sofa was different from that advertised and I was informed that it was a website and main offices issue and not the stores. I then pointed out the price of the sofa in store and was told it was also incorrect.....I them questioned the care package as its also advertised as ONLY £99 but again the prices was increased to £119 pound at check out...

The staff members and managers kept saying it's a new store layout and website and SCS haven't got it right yet....if it's not right you shouldn't be advertising something online and definitely no in store.

Disgusting, underhanded price increases that most would not have realised had happened. I'm utterly disappointed by this tactic. I have complained to SCS but received no reply.
