Jan 2023 I went for bike fitting with Phil at Rutland Cycling Nottingham, Specialized store Basford Nottingham.

My current Mountain bike has never fitted me properly, can tell I'm about 90% efficient on it. So booked with with Phil at Specialized for proper bike fit, video, analysis, probes & all sorts-Proper professional 2023 set up.

2 hours later & wowzers, found out my body differences, adjusted seat, dropped a collar on stem, rotated stem & rotated bars forward.
What a massive difference. I know a bit about getting myself comfortable & we could have all changed a stem at £60 each time & it may have still not been right. Would we have done all the above 4 changes in one go & it instantly worked? Probably not, we'd have been fine tuning for months & still not got it right & bonus didn't have to buy any parts to get the right fit.

Bike feels like a Rolls-Royce now, getting full power out the legs for flats & uphills & will feel more comfortable for the downhills.

Also had front & rear pads changed by Matt while I was there-So cost me no extra time not having to come back again. All done quick & sensible prices.

Proper nice spacious store. Anyone half thinking of going for bike fit, don't delay, get it out the way instead of things not being quite right for years-Phil knows his stuff.
And the same goes for the repairs too.

Great service from Rutland Cycling, I bought a set of Pedals a few months ago and the bearings failed in one of them. Contacted Rutland and they got back in touch very quickly and offered a replacement. Quick, efficient, and friendly, hallmarks of great customer service.

Paid for a bike on the 15th.
No response but automated replies
Expected delivery 28th
Still nothing 29th emailed
Email back on the 30th with nothing.
Phone lines dead
Bike ‘missing’ now…

Returned to Rutland Cycles in Everards Meadow with an e-bike that had hub gears misaligned following an inner tube change. Service from Michael was exceptional and very much appreciated. Prompt, courteous, friendly and very competent. This has been our experience on three previous visits with other staff in the same branch.

I purchased a bike online,delivery was prompt,unfortunately the lights were not working,via email with the customer support I managed to rectify this myself,they were wired incorrectly,also the bike I received was not the size I ordered so after alot of email communication it has had to be returned for a refund(being processed)not ideal for a Christmas present,but in saying that the customer service has been good

I was impressed by the quick delivery of my first order of the new wheel. I had bike accident and needed to find replacement of the font wheel. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong size 700c of the wheel and needed to return and the team supported me. I want to say Big thank you to the team. They have Rider Support and they answer my question the same day. Very professional team. Then I ordered the second order with the right size of the wheel Raleigh 26 inch. When I ordered it on the website it said estimated dispatch time and it came even one day earlier. Very transparent service. Very trustful and professional online bike store Rutland Cycling. Highly Recommend.

My wife bought an ex hire bike Kalkoff electric bike a month ago. She rode it twice and we noticed today it had a flat tyre. I patched it but then noticed the valve was leaking. I took it today to RC at WhitwelI. I said that the valve was leaking. In my view, as a lawyer, it was likely to be leaking when we bought the bike and hence applicable under the Consumer Rights legislation. To be fair they tested the valve and confirmed that it was defective. I asked if they would replace the valve/inner tube and they declined as they do not guarantee inner tubes. I mentioned that a month ago we had spent £1200 on the bike and £300 on accessories and would like it replaced as a goodwill gesture. They declined. I am disappointed as I was thinking of spending £3500 on an electric mountain bike and I had some demos with them a little while ago. Indeed our visit in late October was to buy a birthday bike for myself (but hey, I bought my wife one instead! See below for maintaining good relationships!). If I spend £1500 with a supplier and six weeks later I point out a defect that was probably there when we bought it, I don't think it unreasonable for the supplier to show me £6.99 of goodwill in return-the costs of the new valve/inner tube. Rutland disagree; they are entitled to disagree. The thing is, customer goodwill is all about the long term relationship; which apparently is not worth £6.99 against our recent birthday spend of £1500. That's why I am disappointed.

Had a leaking brake problem with my ebike which is 10 month old. This was a manufacturing fault and was repaired by a local dealer. My email to Rutland cycles was responded to very quickly and the repair costs refunded under the bikes warranty. I cannot fault the expeditious service which i received. Thanks Rutland

Would 100% use again.

Colin in Cambridge made my cargo bike road ready again after I foolishly allowed the breaks to deteriorate to a dangerous state. Thanks so much Colin and all the guys at Rutland in Cambridge - this work was just in time as well as it’s snowed here now

Just like to say , a great handover on Saturday at Specialized Rutland , with the Spec Turbo Levo SL Carbon , on the Mission Control App , great price , great service , great staff , a great shopping experience , unfortunately this weekends weather did not safely allow me to ride it home

Awesome service, recently approved for the cyclescheme through my employer. Went to this store looking for a bike, was helped by Phillip who pointed me the right direction. He wasn’t pushy, he listened to what I needed and I purchased a new bike along with helmet, shoes and other items.

He is a massive credit to that store.

Needed to make a warranty claim with Wahoo but had mislaid proof of purchase for my Kickr bike. Pinged off an email to Rutland and had a response back along with a copy invoice within an hour. Can’t fault the service received from Kirsten

I’ve used the Milton Keynes store for general maintenance on a few occasions now. My cycle tends to take quite a battering, but Rutland have always been able to complete repairs and fit replacement parts on short notice at a reasonable price. During my most recent visit Ian was very helpful and quickly sorted a brake fault. Recommended.

The service I received on Saturday when I took my 2 E bikes in for a service was exceptional. Staff very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.

I placed an order six days ago, paid for 'express' delivery and it still hasn't turned up. Royal Mail are on strike, so here's an idea - maybe use a different courier as you know full well this is happening.

Not only that but they didn't even bother shipping the order until THREE DAYS after I placed by 'express' order.

And they can't be bothered replying to messages.

Absolute clowns - not ordering anything from these people again.

I have ordered a bike on 9/5/22 - it had a delivery date of 19/07 on their website. On 23/06 I got an email stating the delivery has been pushed back to 24/11. In October I phoned asking if the November delivery date is still on. I was assured that it is indeed the case. Come 24/11 I phone the company asking for an update - being told to wait for an email. 28/11 I phone again - only to be told that the new date is 08/04/2023. I ask to speak to the manager of the customer service agent. Mirron then proceed to not answer any of my queries and end up making things worse.
Utterly reprehensible customer service. They have cashed a Cyclecheme voucher and have managed to not deliver on repeated promises.

Kristen was incredibly helpful in responding rapidly and sorting out an issue that I had with a light I'd had for over a year - really rare to get this level of customer service so thanks so much

I had wonderful experience at Rutland cycling Barnwell road Cambridge. Experienced staff with quick and efficient service. No time wasting and good quality work. I rate them highly after visiting them twice so far.
