Absolutely Shambolic Service – Avoid!
If I could rate Redcorn Ltd based on their organisation, professionalism and communication, they’d barely scrape one star. The only reason I’m giving two is because of the driver, Attila, who was the one saving grace in this entire mess.
First attempt at collection – I was told collection could be any time up to 5pm, then got a call at 4:30pm saying the driver would be there in half an hour. He arrived at 5:15 PM, took one look at the car, and decided he "couldn’t take it today" because of the electric handbrake not releasing (which he barely even attempted to deal with). Clearly the last job of the day and he just wanted to go home. This was despite me having already informed Redcorn of the car's condition.
Second attempt – no one even bothered to turn up. I wasted an entire day waiting and didn’t even receive a phone call to explain. In fact, I called Redcorn at 4:50pm before their office closed who confirmed I was still on the driver's list for the day and he would be with me soon.
When I tried to rebook for the following Thursday, I sent multiple emails but got no response until late Wednesday – an automated text, asking me to confirm my booking. I did, only to then receive a rude email essentially telling me off for not answering their calls during the week. But why did you even need to call me to rearrange when I had clearly communicated and asked via email if it was possible to collect on Thursday? (Sorry, I work during your office hours – not exactly an option to sit around waiting for Redcorn’s convenience!)
Finally, on the third attempt, the only saving grace – Attila. Unlike the previous driver, he actually knew what he was doing, kept me updated in the morning, called to confirm his arrival time, and when he got here, he found a way to take the car instead of making excuses (he released the handbrake within a minute so it clearly wasn't that much of a problem!) If the rest of Redcorn operated like him, they might have a half-decent service.
Avoid this company if you value your time and don’t want to deal with stress, disorganisation and outright rudeness. Attila deserves a raise – the rest of the team, not so much.
Seriously disappointed reason being is…
Seriously disappointed reason being is that a bid which suppose to end in 5 mins every 5 min the time increases and it a never ending process and whenever they want they just end the process and I believe that most of their on own people are bidding from insight and doing bogus bidding such a worst experience and will never bid on here again and I think I have wasted my subscription payment I will be looking for a refund for that as well and it’s not only with one or two bids every single bid has the same issue every single bid I don’t know what to do

Helpful and straight forward
Helpful and straight forward. Sadly I've had to scrap two vehicles in the last 7 months (terrible luck with cars!) But Redcorn have been super helpful and payment was prompt on both occasions. Staff are nice to deal with and the whole interaction was very pleasant.

The website initially gave a quote for…
The website initially gave a quote for £3,200. The agent called later and took all the details and quoted £2,800 as I mentioned car is not advised to be run and has some dent etc. Then when they came to collect they complained that its not starting so they cannot give £2,800 and quoted instead £1000, the person even argued no one will pay more then £1000. I car was already in the workshop for week so I had not many options but to say ok, later found that they are auctioning similar car which doesn't start for £2950 on their auction site. Unfair margin.
A Waste Of Time!
Rang these guys on a Friday. Was told they had a part I needed but it was on a car so I would have to pay a deposit in person first then return a few days later to collect. Seemed odd considering the various payment methods available today but this company insisted on cash only and I needed the part so I agreed.
I asked the guy if the parts are removed nilly willy or are they removed with the correct tools, further explaining that the part I need is fiddly and will break without the right tools. He didn’t seem very confident in his response.
I rang the following day as I realised the trek to their Purfleet depot would take me 2-3 hours each way but their Tottenham depot was closer. The guys I spoke to said confirmed the part was available, confirmed the price and said it’s fine to go to their Tottenham depot for payment and collection but he couldn’t give me a reservation or reference number as he was having problems with his system. I told him I will call Monday morning before making my way.
Come Monday, I rang Redcorn only to be told they never had the car let alone the part I needed and it’s been double checked.
Absolute waste of time these people, stay away from them.
Very unreliable, would not recommend
If I could give this company no stars I would. Booked for collection on Monday and they didn't turn up, no curtosy call, nothing. I called on Tuesday and they did apologize and I rescheduled to be collected Wednesday and then very late afternoon they called me to say unable to collect because one of the vehicles they were collecting turned out to be a van and not a car so they had no space for my car, why didn't they refuse to take the van? Then guess what? Rescheduled again for today and what a surprise, they cancelled AGAIN, and no I haven't rescheduled. Going with someone else who is giving more money. Result!! Would definitely NOT recommend this company!!!

Possibly the worst customer service I've ever experienced with any business, ever. Initial interaction with the website, inputting car details and arranging the car collection was pretty smooth. Arranged for collection of the car on a Friday and received a text message to confirm, as well as a call to say the driver would call me 30mins before they would be arriving to collect. This is where the positives end.
The pick-up time is anytime between 8am-5pm, so you're left waiting around for a phone call all day, which isn't helpful but isn't unique to Redcorn. The time got to 4.30pm and I hadn't heard anything so called Redcorn for an update. The call assistant was beyond unhelpful and very unsympathetic, couldn't tell me anything, had no information as to when I might expect the car to be collected, or any details of the driver so I could get in touch directly. She did say that the driver was out so I should expect the car to be collected on that day, but to call back on Saturday if it hadn't. Shock, it wasn't collected. The next day came and I called back, the call assistant said the next available slot was Tuesday, no "sorry for the inconvenience" or anything, just a date 4 days on from the original day. She did say though that I could do a 'contactless' collection, where I could leave the V5C in the glovebox and the key under the wheel. I decided to go with this option given I didn't want to sit around for a whole day again. Call assistant reassured me that the driver would call when they're 30mins away (heard that one before). Fast forward to Tuesday morning and I called to confirm the details of the collection, they confirmed and said the driver would call. I get home around 4.30pm and I hadn't received any call, but more worryingly my car is not there?! Did someone find the key and steal the car? Did the Redcorn driver collect the car? (couldn't be, because they were supposed to call when they were 30mins away). I called asking for an update, the car was still showing as 'to be collected'(?!?!?!) and no further update could be given, but (you guessed it) the driver was out and he would call when he was 30mins away. Naturally, I'm now sweating. I called Redcorn on Wednesday morning and the call assistant said the car had been collected and that the fee agreed should be received on Thursday (and was in the end). This whole process could've been improved with better communication, but the lack of clarity the call handlers have of the whereabouts and details of drivers, combined with the lack of sympathy/empathy they have with the situation makes this a pretty painful experience. Would avoid unless you like stress.

I’ve used Redcorn now a few times
I’ve used Redcorn now a few times. Every occasion it’s been relatively hassle free, even getting an hours notice so I don’t have to have any time off work. Today, a gentleman named Damario collected my vehicle. He was professional, courteous and there was a bit of a hostile bunch of road users due to the road he collected from being extremely narrow. He dealt with this in a very positive manner and was very polite with me too. The lady that called me 10 minutes after i organised the quote online was also very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Terrible service and they paid someone else
Terrible - do not use. Firstly collection was 3 hours late turned up at 7.30pm. Car was collected from ex husbands property. I was informed to email my bank details to receive payment - car in my name but he was there when car collected. I communicated all payments details and received confirmation. 3 days of chasing numerous calls and my bank details were taken again only for payment to be made to my ex husband. Filled a complaint 5 days ago and still no response. Cant be trusted don’t communicate or have processes fit for purpose.

I clearly should have read the reviews… I requested a quote and arranged for my car to be picked up on 6th February and was told it would be collected between 7am to 5pm… After rearranging my work commitments and waiting at home ALL DAY the car was still not collected come 6pm and phone calls and emails have gone unanswered… To think this company has the gall to accuse others of “messing them around” (as per their responses to others’ reviews) is beyond the pale. If you’re not interested, just save us all the trouble and say so 🙄
The company failed to check scrapping…
The company failed to check scrapping the right vehicle. I lost use of my vehicle while getting the COD reversed. They have not even opologised. They are now ignoring my emails when I ask for financial reckon pence. Now filing to court.
Useless - try elsewhere.
I wish I’d read the reviews here first. Don’t bother with this lot, like many on here I wasted a day waiting for them with no show. I even rang them to check and they still assured me they would be there! I went elsewhere and got £50 more than their quote so suggest you do the same.
