Receiptjar is a scam. I used this app properly, yet my account was suddenly suspended without any real explanation. They provided a vague list of possible reasons, but refused to clarify which one applied to me. I reached out to customer support multiple times, but they either ignored my emails or gave generic, unhelpful responses. What's even worse is that Receiptjar will unfairly ban you by falsely claiming you did something wrong or engaged in repeated behavior violations just to avoid paying out rewards. They do not make fair decisions in line with their own terms and conditions. Instead, they make up excuses to ban users and keep their earnings. They claim to be creating a "fair and rewarding experience," but that’s completely false and deceptive. This is blatant dishonesty, and it’s clear they have no interest in treating their users fairly. Instead of providing transparency or a fair appeals process, they simply cut off access and ignore follow-ups. This app is designed to take advantage of users who deserve clear communication, a fair appeals process, and the ability to access their hard-earned rewards. If they continue these dishonest and shady practices, I’m seriously considering looking into legal action and filing a class action lawsuit against them. I wouldn’t recommend this app unless you’re okay with losing your earnings without warning or explanation.

I EARNED $100.00 PAYMENT! SOON AFTER I WAS TOLD IT WAS FOUND TO BE SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY IN MY ACCOUNT!!!!!!! WHICH I HAVE REPEATEDLY STATED SHOW ME THE RECEIPTS WERE YOU FOUND ANY SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY!!!!!!! I ONLY SNAPPED RECEIPTS PURCHASED BY MY FAMILY!!!!!!!! RECEIPT JAR HAS FAILED TO DO THIS!!!!!!!!! I EARNED THE $100 PAYMENT BEFORE THE SUPPOSEDLY SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY! REGARDLESS RECEIPT JAR OWES ME THE MONEY I EARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Warning. I was suspended twice and both times I had got near collecting more than a $20 voucher! The first time they did re-activate the account however as I was about to collect "a massive" $50 they suspended the account and told me there was a breach of their terms. They did not respond when I showed them the receipts were genuine. Having investigated it appears they are harvesting data to sell and avoiding paying out to app users when they are due any amounts other than a few pennies. Seems to be some sort of scam especially when a lot of work goes into uploading receipts as per their terms without any pay off or the decency of a response. Waste of time. Do not bother.

Please bring back the feature of forwarding online receipts to the app. Now they limit to certain businesses through the app only which I don’t always buy from when online shopping. I’m Missing out on so many points now.

Accuses users of terms violations even when credit card numbers on every receipt are all the same, mine. This company does this to avoid redemptions and when you complain they just suspend your account. Be sure you read all of the reviews carefully here and on the play store before installing. Beware of this data farming company who doesn't operate ethically.

Does anyone know how I would complaint to Google play or Apple about this company as they are dodgy.

Please refrain from using this app. I was overseas for a family emergency. They suspended my account and for more than $100 in gift cards. Savings always help. It is fraudulent and unethical experience. I would never recommend this app and will not use this app again.

Rude customer service

I always followed the guidelines, I made redemption of my 1900 points but unfortunately i did not receive $10 gift card. Its very hard to collect 1900 points for me. After 10 days i send an email to ask about my points and $10 gift card then they replied as below,
"We acknowledge your redemption request for 1900 points on 2025-02-13. However, during the review process, our team noticed some unusual receipt uploads that were classified as invalid - receipts with bad backgrounds"
It seems like fraud with their customers. Beware!

This app is a scam. Once you get enough money to get paid, they’ll do anything not to pay you it’s a scam

This app SUCKS delete it! I was waiting for my $50 gift card first one ever and they told me the deactivated my account since I had uploaded receipts from my mom I scan and the told me I was a fraud. This is a scam and that’s why they have low reviews they don’t want to payout. Use fetch and receipt pal they are the best and they have no issues paying you for you time.

This app was ok at first. I was able to get two $50 gift cards from it without issue. It takes a long time to finally earn a gift card, but I expected that. Then by the time I tried to cash out my 3rd gift card, the company gave me a really hard time. Their rules state that it's only supposed to take 3-5 days to process and redeem the gift card (the first two only took 3 days) On the 6th day the gift card still wasn't "approved" and they had not contacted me at all about it. So I sent them an email asking why the gift card wasn't approved yet - they told me they were holding my gift card because they noticed that I had shopped a lot at primarily 2 stores. Shopping a lot at two stores is not against their rules, and they actually admitted it in an email they sent me. So they basically went against their own rules by holding my gift card longer than 5 days (without even contacting me) and accused me of cheating all because my family and I shop a lot a two stores, which is also not against their rules. My shopping habits have never changed, so I'm not sure why they decided to treat me so unfairly on the 3rd gift card. I have removed the app and will just stick with my other receipt apps I have that actually follow their own rules/guidelines and won't accuse you of cheating for no apparent reason.

Do not waste your time had them years and they just took everything I had and suspended my account for being inactive for 30 days as my phone broke and had no access to my account and emailed them and Don't care so I lost everything as I never cashed out! I also know I have been inactive before so this is a scam do not use! I wouldn't give them 1 star but you have to!

The app seems great, you'll earns lots of points. UNTIL its time to cash out. When you redeem your points for gift cards, they WILL NOT pay you. They will suspend your account for all sorts of reason (none of which are true) all so they don't have to pay you. You've been warned. STAY AWAY

Tout allais bien 2 ans a rentrer des recus et accumuler tranquillement il as suffi qu'une seule hospitalisation qui m'empêche d'être actif plus de 30 jours et il ont suspendu mon compte et ces definitif.... Ca me fache vraiment beaucoup javais presque 3000 points d'accumuler! Jetais pas au courant de ce règlement il veule rien faire pour maider.

So they did pay after a back and forth email exchange. Why they took three weeks I don’t know so I’m bumping to 4 star over my 1 star.

they wont pay stop wasting your time as all they will say is we are verifying your receipts and than nothing.

Spent all that time to save up 3900 points. They excepted all the receipts, have all that personal info of mine and did not receive my gift card. That was third time I didn't receive gift card.
FETCH AND RECIEPT HOG ARE MORE HONEST APPS TO USE.

I have had receipt jar for 3 years. If you willing to put in receipts religiously it is a great app. I had problem this year where my money wasn't put in my account when I cashed out points I called customer service and they helped me and money was deposited the next day. If you are diligent about adding receipts you can earn money. Iwait til Christmas and cash mine in then
