I don’t recommend this app at all. They are likely to take your points and accuse you of being inactive or fraudulent and refuse to pay out.

Total scam. I worked for 2 years to have enough points for a 100 dollar voucher for a food shop and they claimed I hadn’t entered an offline receipt recently so took all those points away and denied the voucher. What a waste of my uploading receipts this whole time. There are other apps out there that are better value. Not a fair system.

I been using Receipt Jar for couple years now. I saved up points to try to get a $100 amazon card for 19K. I was at the 17k point range and decided to use 9500 pts to get $50 card. Since 9500 x2 =19K. No savings to wait. And would still only 1500 away balance to get another $50 card prob take me 4 more months time. They sent me email and deactivated my account stating - putting together multiple receipts to make one - stitched receipts, modified receipts. They are awful and wrongfully accused me. Don't recommend receipt jar to anyone.

I got up to enough points to cash out a lousy five dollar reward that took me probably 2 1/2 months to actually accumulate with the receipt that my husband and I honestly had showing all things that we and my household have shopped for I get an email from receipt jar five days later after I submitted my five dollar redemption telling me they’re suspending and closing my account and my redemption will not be processed due to miss use of their app. Apparently they said that I misuse their app and uploaded receipts under the category of receipt diving they are a total waste of time a legitimate scam and you’ll never ever get you a redemption which tells me maybe all of the receipts that their users are uploading they are taking and using elsewhere for their own financial gain, please be aware of this shady app I will never ever recommend them to anybody, and I will be calling an attorney who deals with scams and fictitious promises!!!!

I wish I would have read other people's reviews on this before I started using this site. I waited forever to get enough points to cash out a $50 gift card and they banned me because I scanned receipts that weren't just mine! These receipts were legitimately given to me by the families of pediatric clients that I work with that were not going to use them themselves. You should beware do not use this site unless you're going to cash out every time you get $10 in rewards.

Today, Jan.31,2026, I became frustrated with this app(ReceiptJar). I Uninstaller knowingly that I left more than 2200 points balance. Which is the equivalent to $5 value and 200 plus remaining. After a quick break, I reinstalled app and attempted to login. The state message was my account was frozen due to in activity for more than 30 days (LIE). My last activity was January 29 a receipt from Warehouse Discount Groceries for January 29, 2026 for $63.71.
I began work with this entity last year about May 2025. Thus giving them a positive review which was the onset reflective view at that time. Within the following months working with this company through their online app, I have experienced multiple issues with receipts marked as invalid receipts submitted, out dated receipts, and other critiques that were at times valid but most were within the guidelines.
From the start, I have felt that this entity has unjustly scrutinize my account.
Obtain rewards is compared to pulling teeth, some are rewarded easy then others are mysteriously encrypted so the average skilled user has to go through multiple steps and loops to retrieve points. Which you need two devices such as two cell phones or another type that has an internet connection. I feel they are scammers,
SHAME ON THEM!
Follow up on Reddit. Also, so article by Authority Magazine on Sept. 17, 2024 referencing Ceo Tyler Spooner and the company's projected earnings 11 million for 2025. Yet us, the patrons can't get our pennies.

ReceiptJar is a piece of garbage app. It freezes up more than it works. Forget contacting chat. They never responded. This should be shut down. Sham!!😡

I submitted receipts for about four months and when I went to submit them for a gift card they stated that my account was suspended due to misuse. I contacted the company and ask for an explanation twice but only response was they hated to do thisbut it was because of misuse. No offer to explain or o even talk to someone. I also referred family and friends to use this app but they have all quit because of this issue. I should have looked and did alittle research on this company but I didnt after seeing all the reviews and talking to others this happen to I wouldn't have even used this app. I was directed to fill out papers from the state attorney office and send them in. Just waiting for them to come.

this is a scam. time consuming and when you claim your redeemed points your account will be suspended.

Same as everyone else! Been using the app for years. No issues. Saved up my points to redeem $50 and $20. My account was immediately deactivated. No warning that I wasn't uploading paper receipts, which is required within 30 days if you attempt to redeem. I have attempted to follow up with their customer service and reached out on X. NO RESPONSE!!

Went to cash out my $20 and conveniently got banned for whatever reason. I tried to contact customer service. Nothing. They wanted my receipts and then didn’t want to pay out..

*BEWARE*Receiptjar is a scam! If I could I'd leave no stars. They use ur details & info from ur receipts.u can spend months earning points but won't be able to reap any rewards as they deactivate ur account. They are difficult to deal with& won't respond to ur queries. Who knows where these people are located but DO NOT USE THIS SCAMMER APP

Receipt Jar is a total rip off. They stole all my points from a receipt that the ink was faint where the date was so I filled in the number with ink. Stole 5700 points from me and didnt reply when I emailed them.

Scam scam scam. Dont waste a time

Same issue as others. Got enough for reward and they refuse to pay out and deactivated my account. I had no issues previously with this app and have used for over 2 yrs. They claim they sent a confirmation email with 14 days to respond and I didn’t respond…except I requested cash out 1 day prior to the email they said I didn’t confirm, so impossible for them to give me 14 days to confirm. Use another receipt app that is trustworthy. This company is committing fraud.

I’d leave 0 stars if was an option. Deactivated my acct saying receipts weren’t mine when I tried to cash in points for voucher. Working to share the news so no one else falls for these jerks.

If zero stars could be given, that’s what I would give this app. Do not waste your time. You will not get anything in return for scanning receipts. Furthermore, if you do, they will send you an email saying that you violated their guidelines and will not keep your account open And it will be suspended. You’re not waste your time with this app!

Would have zero stars if I could. Liars scammers and worst xash app ever. Waited until I had 100.00 then refused to pay. Deactivated account. No explanation. Horrible people!!!!!!!
