I took out silver travel cover for the…
I took out silver travel cover for the entire family. The apartment we booked flooded with sewage water, and we had a 4 month old baby with us. I called up and asked for guidance on what alternative accomodation to book, I was told they understood accomodation would cost a lot more last minute but if it was reasonable it would be fine.
I booked alternative accommodation for this to then be rejected because it cost twice what the original booking did. Of course it did, it was a booking last minute on the same day, hotels always charge a premium for that. I am disgusted with the way they have treated us, and cannot recommend anyone to stay further away from this disgrace of a company.

Good price for decent level of cover
Came up with a good price for a good level of cover on a search. Setup and purchase online was simple and quick. Hopefully it won't be needed but hope the claims service is as good.

Good value but depersonalised holiday insurance
I liked the cover, the price was competitive and the website was OK. The algorithm was industry standard but the whole experience felt very dehumanised - I suppose it is AI bot driven to keep costs down, but a “speak to a human” option would transform it to a 5 star experience, albeit at a slightly higher cost

The on line procedure started well enough then when trying to put the start date in it just wouldn’t work. So it took a lot longer than expected.
