Would put zero stars (or minus 100 if I could). An absolute scam that relies on people not checking phone bills closely. See Daily Mail 22/1/20 page 47. "Phantom subscriptions lurking on your phone bill."

This company has charged me £3 a week for the last 4 months for a service that I did not subscribe to "DemonGames" . They are running as close to the legal line as possible with this scam. They have very questionable morals and are very difficult to get a refund from

SCAM GAMING SUBSCRIPTION CHARGES
SCAM GAMING SUBSCRIPTION CHARGES. My wife has been charged £3 per week for 9 weeks from Demon Games for a service she did not sign up for before we noticed the charges on the bill. We have now cancelled this by text but want to claim this back as this was charged without our consent. I cannot find a trading address for Demon Games, and a Google search shows PM Connect are the mobile payment administrator for this company. Please let me know how to get this refunded.
The process of making these charges should be more transparent, it is clear from the number of people who have complained about being caught that it is not the case. I am sure that it is done is this way knowing that a large number of people will probably not try to claim it back.

premium rate text scammers
One of these days this whole scam is going to blow up, but until then operators such PM connect and the mobile networks continue to profit from "phone paid services"
I've seen many examples of misleading web sites using full screen popups and hidden frames, that when viewed from a mobile sign up the user to a premium SMS service on repeat billing. The user is non the wiser as they appear to have clicked on a 'close' or 'continue' button, wheras in fact browser tricks mean they have signed up.
The stock response from operators like PM connect is that the user must click twice to confirm a subscription, this is utter nonsense.
The stock response from mobile networks is that it's not their problem, well it is as they take around a 50% cut of the recurring charges.

This company is TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This company is TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they have been making money from me for 4 months and i never noticed. £4 every week.
I never signed up to any of their services. When I called i was told that I clicked on their advert to "JOIN"
How can you start taking money from someone's account just by "Clicking" At least there should be some valid way to confirm I actually intend to subscribe to a service. For example,
1. Fill in my email
2. Fill in Bankcard details
3. Confirm from a link inside my email.
Something along those lines definitely shows that I am interested in whatever you are selling.
This company needs to be taken down and NEVER exist again.

Another scammed 'customer' here. This company are exploiting vulnerable people by accessing their data without their content, then exploiting a pay-per-text system mainly used for charitable donations. Refused to offer a refund after scamming us for around £100. We'll see you in court!

After reading the reviews here I was contemplating whether even buying access to their basketball app. But in the UK its very tough to find videos that are mainly airing on the US shows. Before I purchased it for my son and myself I decided to give their customer service a call to see if I was just going to be charged and be unable to stop if I didn't like what I was paying for.
I got through to a very friendly person called Emma who explained I got a free trial and if I didn't like what I was buying I could cancel so I decided to give it a whirl.
Well it was exactly what it said on the tin. I could find my favourite team. Follow them and get daily updates to how others were doing in the league. As far as I know nothing else exists like it!
We went away on holiday so I decided to cancel my subscription no problem and started it straight back up when I got back!

SCAM, fight them!
This is an atrocious scam. I noticed charges on my Vodafone statement to realise they had been charging my account for 2 years without permission.
They claim that something had been clicked accepting terms but this was a lie.
Their first offer is always to repay a few weeks and get rid of you. I decided to persist. You need to send a letter to their registered office that you can find on the Companies House website. Ask for a full refund and give them 7 days to repay you. If they don't repay in that time, go to the Small Claims Court online and file a claim against them. They ALWAYS pay when served with court papers including the costs of the court fees and interest.
The company wins all sorts of awards but the rating here tells the real story. They are a SCAM and should be shut down. The worst thing is that the mobile companies share revenue with them so they are doing nothing to shut down the SCAM either.
If you have been charged, fight them!

Intrusive pop-ups to scam people through their phone bills...
PM Connect are the shadiest company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Their business model seems to rely on intrusive pop-ups, often difficult to dismiss on webpages, YouTube videos and the like, which subscribe your phone number to charges in a matter of seconds.
A poorly constructed, Spam-like text message will then appear on your phone and you will be charged a small amount per week often before most people would even notice the discrepancy on their phone bills.
The mobile phone companies are heavily involved in this and then advise you to contact the 3rd party you did not contract with to try and get your money back.
Standard procedure is for PM Connect to offer you a partial refund, so they get to keep a small amount like £4 from each victim of their practices and in order to get a full refund it seems that court action often has to be issued, which is a hassle in itself.
I would be very concerned about this company and its practices especially with regards to elderly people, children with mobile phones and people with special needs.
Report this company to the Phone-paid Services Authority and DO NOT ACCEPT LESS THAN A FULL REFUND.
Unsurprisingly PM Connect are the most reported company to the Phone-paid Services Authority with more than 2500 complaints....more that 1000 more reports than their nearest rivals in skullduggery.
More people should be aware of this utter scam.
*********
I see these cyber-leeches are still sucking away at people's money and trying to justify themselves as legitimate.
They have employed a PR company, I wouldn't be surprised if some very bright people are wasting their careers and lives defending or working for a company like this, during a pandemic when things are all a bit crap anyway.
Likely leeched off some of the pensioners' pensions who have died with COVID who unknowingly 'signed up' to their services during their final years.
The company really enjoy people on their LinkedIn page discussing their practices.
They didn't even get that much money out of me, but the principle of the matter stuck in my throat.
Hello PR people, hello copy and paste reply person! Have a great day working for this parasitic lot of four letter words.

I wish I could award less than 'Bad' to…
I wish I could award less than 'Bad' to PM Connect, a completely fraudulent company that appears to have been set up solely on the premise of taking your money for nothing, with no actual authority to do so being given by the customer.
4 payments of £3.00 taken from my Vodafone account for something called 'Demon Games', 2 of the payments within 2 days of each other. Nothing recognizable as authority to do this has ever been clicked and I've never played, or wanted to play, an online game ever since the day the mobile phone was invented!
Vodafone, you bear some of the responsibility for this as it's you who permit companies like PM Connect to exist as a merchant and thrive on their ill-gotten gains. We have long complained about this particular firm and so it's now up to YOU to do something about it.
If you have issues with this company…
If you have issues with this company speak to the Phone Paid Services Authority (PSA).
biggest frickin scam
biggest frickin scam , they charged me 44 pounds for a service i never even opted for and when asked for a refund they offered me a compensation of 8 pounds to close the said matter . So , basically they are asking me to pay 4 pounds for every text message they sent me which i did not know about or want/recieve . Could'nt even get hold of a phone number for them from my mobile sevice provider.
Is this company legal?
Testing the boundaries of UK law! The 'test of reasonableness' is the background to UK law- ie what is deemed 'reasonable' by the supplier or what is within 'reasonable expectation' expected by the customer. This company specialises in inserting ads into social media sites (youtube etc) and free games that your children might stray onto, that once clicked on, automatically install you on a regular direct debit charge to your mobile phone bill. Therefore you will never know you are being charged until you look at your phone bill. No contracts signed or permissions gained- simply a new loophole to access your billing account on your mobile phone! Plus a notification SMS that looks like all the other spam you are inundated with. Accessing your bank account in an underhand manner (by not being clear what is happening) is beyond 'reasonable'? Needs referring to OFTEL.
