I paid £9 for weekend delivery due to rescuing a hamster in a sorry state, so I needed food and substrate ASAP the hamster food was not packaged in a protective way and therefore completely smashed and split open by the 12.5kg bag of substrate. Lots of the food was completely crushed and because I had no idea how long it had been out of packaging I deemed it not fit for use.
I was offered a 50% refund or a replacement if I sent the hamster food back to them. They genuinely asked me to pick up all the loose hamster food from the bottom of a huge box, repackage it and send it back to them despite seeing the pictures. Honestly ridiculous and has put me off using them again. I now have a subscription with bitiba, much cheaper too :)

Ordered a replacement tray for my chinchilla’s cage (with £8.99 delivery for the weekend.)
Price of the tray was great, arrived on time and was well packaged.

I was lucky enough to win a £40 gift card for pet planet, so I treated my cat Olive to a new cat tower, the website it really easy to navigate, the product has a full description and measurements, and plenty of pictures of the products. When purchasing items you gain points which is always great 😊 the delivery was very fast and delivered by yodel, I got a 1 hour time slot which was handy. The cat tower was very easy to put together and was in purrfect condition. Will definitely be a repeat customer 😺

I've used Pet Planet on a few occasions. I often get items here for my dog that I struggle to get elsewhere. Service is always quick and well priced.

I ordered 2 bags of dog food and the smaller was delivered but the large one (worth £77) was not. After immediately querying this with petplanet I was basically accused of lying. Yes the box has been recorded as 16kg on the label, and I would have queried this with DPD if I had been handed the delivery in person. Why would I steal dog food?!!

Excellent range of pet products, from food to bedding to toys. Their delivery time of 3-4 days has always been on point every time I placed an order. Excellent communication during the whole process.

The product was a good price but unfortunately, on receipt, it was damaged. A phone call to Petplanet and the issue was resolved.
When a company looks after their clients like they did they deserve to be highly recommended.

I've ordered from Pet Planet for a number of years now. I've had 2 issues, the first issue was a couple of years ago, and the 2nd issue was a delivery I received today. Basically 4 x dry dog food 7.5kg each with a best before date of July 2025 so 4 months to use which isn't great, I normally get a year or more with my order at Pets At Home (I go between Pets At Home and Pet Planet depending on price however won't be using Pet Planet again). Having contacted customer service, I must say how unimpressed I am with them. The first time I had an issue I wasn't impressed and it hasn't improved so I have therefore decided I won't be using them again. You need good customer service when things go wrong, it's all very well when things are delivered with no issues, however, the minute things aren't quite right and you call them they aren't good. They offered to return the pet food, no apology, an explanation which isn't correct and I have to repackage and leave out for collection. Between the 4 bags its 30kg which I can't lift and the time and energy it takes to repackage etc I can't be bothered which I'm sure they are counting on. I like to have a 6 month supply of dog food so I'm organised and not running last minute, that shouldn't matter, you should get dog food with a very minimum of 6 months I would even say a year on dry dog food !!!!! I did offer to keep 2 of the dry food at a reduced cost as I didn't want to pay full price for an item with such a short shelf life, however, I was told no and they had organised Yodel to pick up next week, a date which I haven't even said is ok and I have to repackage and they will then refund if all ok on arrival. I can't recommend as it's the last time I will use pet planet. Dealing with someone called Kirsty who has no customer service at all!!! Just be wary and check dates of best before if you do order from this company and don't expect good customer service if anything goes wrong. I'm less than impressed.

Ordered a crate, dog bowl and bone.

Received an email saying would be delivered by yodel-

Opened the delivery to find a bottle of Molton Brown shampoo.
When I click back on original confirmation email it’s now stating order has been delivered.

Where is my order and will I be receiving it? If not a full refund will be needed.

I have been using Petplanet for some years now for cat supplies, they have an excellent range, even prescription cat food.
They also provide great customer service on the VERY rare occasion I've needed it.
Lastly, I like the reward points they offer, a little something back for our loyalty

I discovered PetPlanet in 2016 when I was preparing for the arrival of my first puppy, and over the years have bought crates, grooming equipment, toys, food, treats, etc. She's 9 later this year, and I still check PetPlanet's website when I'm looking for something new

Bought Samylin for my dog for liver issues, found to be the cheapest and a quick turn around.

Awful service. Order was dumped outside my flat by the courier, obviously damaged and leaking cat litter. It left a mess I had to clear up.

I tried several times to report the issue via PetPlanet's website, which was broken.

Then I had to call them. They said the broken contact form (not an "email" as it claims, a web form) was an "IT issue" and asked that I email them photos of the damaged goods. They promised they'd get back to me.

Two days later I've had no response to my email, let alone a refund. I've tried to call but apparently they don't staff the customer service line on Saturdays?

Abysmal service, damaged products and getting a refund is much harder than it should be. Going by the reviews elsewhere it looks like this is business as usual for PetPlanet. Avoid!
