Prompt and helpful advice from Barry. Delivery as expected. Product (so far) seems excellent, very good covering power, even when thinned slightly, and easy to apply. Time will tell as to its durability. I would consider it (in black) as a tougher coating to a fire escape staircase (chequer plate), rather than Hammerite, which doesn't last long.

Good service
Paint arrived quickly and as described. Company were very helpful in processing my payment over the phone. Websites, mobile phones with poor reception and not being very tech savvy are not a great mix for me.

Delivery is really poor, products are good
We ordered 2 cans of floor varnish and only 1 arrived which we appreciate was a mistake but this was made 100% worse by the delivery experience. 4 delivery dates and times provided before delivery was finally made, 4 days after the original date given. Second can promised for delivery on the same day but again delivery took 4 days. Too late we had to order elsewhere as we had work men in to do the work. Need to get another delivery company or stop promising dates that won’t be met.

Saved the day
I bought paint from another company and it was a total disaster. Really thick and hard to use. I was a bit worried about buying more online however this paint was perfect. I was using it to paint my horse lorry which is aluminium and GRP which I had carefully primed. The military paint went on well with good coverage. It looks great. One more coat (3 total) and it will be perfect.
I didn’t pay for expediated delivery but it came quickly anyway.

I don't like giving bad reviews but I would hate someone else to waste as much money as I have . I bought the satin finish Land Rover Paint and had it professionally sprayed on my Land Rover Defender 300tdi. The sprayer (40 years experience) contacted this firm to confirm the thinning/spraying recommendations for this paint and followed them the letter. The paint has now been in place for about two months, kept inside a large garage. It has had plenty of time to cure but the surface can be scratched with a fingernail. I test painted a section of chequer plate with a roller and allowed it to air dry for comparison. That too suffers from the same problem. I have been corresponding with an employee at paints-4-trade, who has been very personable but nothing has been offered to resolve the issue. Now, my expensive re-build is in a dire situation. We are faced with two choices: either accept a scratch-prone (already scratched in numerous places) paint finish or strip it all back and re-spray it with a decent product (at a cost of thousands of pounds). I'm already over £3,000 into re-spray costs even though I did the sanding myself. If I could turn back the clock, I would not buy this paint and I cannot recommend it.

Our Landrover Vehicle Enamel Paint is one of our most established vehicle paint products and is widely regarded by many of our customers as a market-leading option for Land Rover restorations and refinishing projects. It is a single-pack, solvent-based enamel designed for Land Rover vehicles, commercial vehicles and vehicle equipment, with preparation, priming, thinning, application conditions and coating thickness all playing an important part in the final result.
We do appreciate that when a finish does not perform as expected, the paint itself is often the first thing to be blamed. However, in our experience, issues such as softness, marking, poor adhesion or scratch resistance can also be caused by several external factors, including surface preparation, contamination, primer compatibility, coat thickness, drying conditions, thinning ratio, spray technique, curing environment and the substrate being coated.
We are sorry that you feel the matter has not been resolved to your satisfaction, but we do have to consider all possible causes before concluding that the product itself is at fault, especially where the coating has been applied outside of our direct control.
We would prefer the opportunity to discuss this further and review the full details directly with your experienced 40-year painter, including the preparation process, primer used, thinning ratio, application method, number of coats, drying conditions and any other relevant information. This would allow us to better understand exactly what has happened and assess the situation as thoroughly as possible.
We take product quality very seriously and continue to stand by our Landrover Vehicle Paint range, which has been used successfully by many customers across restoration and vehicle projects.

Doesn’t do what it says on the tin!
Bought some of their kennel floor paint. New concrete slab so clean, and left for 8 weeks after pouring so properly dry.
Applied paint exactly how recommended, first coat thinned the soak in followed by normal top coats.
Paint is flaking off after about 2 weeks and the dogs haven’t even been in there yet!

New concrete must be allowed to fully cure and dry before any floor coating is applied. As a general rule, concrete should be left to cure and dry at approximately 1 inch of depth per month before painting. This is especially important with floor paints, where trapped moisture, laitance or insufficient curing can prevent proper adhesion and lead to flaking.
While the slab may appear clean and dry on the surface after 8 weeks, that does not necessarily mean the concrete has fully cured throughout, particularly depending on the thickness of the slab, conditions, ventilation and moisture levels.
Our Kennel Floor Paint must be applied to a suitable, fully cured, dry and correctly prepared surface. We have no control over the condition of the concrete, the curing period, moisture content or preparation before application. Where this recommendation is skipped or the concrete has not fully dried, coating failure can occur, and this should not automatically be attributed to the paint itself.
We stand by our Kennel Floor Paint when it is applied to a properly cured, dry and prepared concrete floor in line with the correct recommendations.
