Excellent buying experience from Japan
I have bought kayak gears and wears >20 times from Outdoorplay. The ordered ones are always delivered to Japan without any problems. The delivery is quick and fast. The customer service is excellent. I very much appreciate the outstanding international service of Outdoorplay.
Recommended seller
Purchased a Kuat bike rack from Outdoorplay. They are very competitive and offered a great price. After ordering, it came in a few days through UPS. Smooth transaction and easy-to-use website. I would certainly purchase again from them.
Took payment, but said i needed to pay through paypal as well
Made an order, the company ran the credit card, then two days later emailed saying there was an issue with the order and I needed to call them to resolve it.
I called, and they said they couldn't confirm my credit card, and I needed to re-order and use paypal instead. And on top of that they said one of the items was on back-order (was in stock when I ordered). I will be disputing the credit card charge and never ordering from this scam website again.

Ordered a tent shown as in stock
Ordered a tent shown as in stock. Received email it was shipping direct from manufacturer on or before 7/1/20. It didn't. I got another email saying it will ship on or before 8/1/20. That's a month in the middle of the season. I live in Colorado so that's like a 3rd of the season, I have to wait to get a tent that has already been paid for. They told me they removed the tent from the website due to the long wait, I checked and they really did. If the tent comes in on or before 8/1 I'll update to 3 stars, but for now it's pretty sad.

Amazing customer service experience
I choose Outdoorplay because they are a local business and now more than ever we must try to support and promote local businesses.
Due the pandemic, I’ve noticed that all outdoor equipment is sold out or taking longer to be shipped. That occurred to me with them, but it took less than 12 hours to get their reply back, assuring me they were working on it. Once my bike rack arrived, I realized it was an open box, not what I was expecting, but my disappointment last the hours they took to reply to my email. I got a call from an amazing customer service representative, who did her very best giving me different options and understanding the situation. She offered me several ways to emend the situation without hesitation, I could tell their priority was my satisfaction as a client. They followed up immediately over email.

Will work with you if they mess up
The Customer Service of this company is abysmal.
This company sold me a kayak with a pre-existing leak and a pump with an inoperable PSI gauge.
However, after some discussions they made everything right.

Buyer beware
Buyer beware! I purchased a bike rack on 6/6/2020 from the site that said they did indeed have the product in stock and that most items ship within 24 hrs. When said product ships, they send you a tracking number as is typical for most online retailers. On 6/16/2020 I contacted Outdoorplay to inquire about my order. I received an email back stating they were sorry for the delay and that now the item was back ordered until 7/30/2020. Keep in mind, I had to contact the seller myself (10 days after purchase) to find out my item would ship 54 DAYS AFTER I placed the order of an item they claimed to have in stock. Customer service is abysmal with this company and I’d suggest not to trust their “item counts” online.

Beware: False Shipping Claims During COVID
Review by Anonymous UserShipping has been delayed 3 times now from late Apr to May 6 then May 8 and now to March 22. I get it, COVID-19 has disrupted supply chains. But there was no mention of that when I bought my H3 AND there is still no mention of shipping delays on the product page or anywhere in the checkout process. Even worse, Outdoor Play is still highlighting that they are shipping as normal! You have a popup bar with your COVID update that says "COVID-19 Update - We're Shipping!". If you click on that popup it takes you to a letter from your CEO that says, right at the top, that "Our online store is still open and our supporting warehouse is still shipping as per our normal shipping times." That is a blatant lie and a very shady business practice. I work in E-commerce and this is terrible customer relations. Look at Amazon announcing delays across the board. That's exactly what you should be doing.
UPDATE: They deleted my review from their website! Watch out for these people!

Got a patagonia zip up here at a great price and with free shipping. It came super fast and with no problems.
Returns troublesome
Tried to make a return. They made me pay for my own shipping. It cost over $30. The forms were not in the box that I needed to make the return and I had to print them. Poor customer service although the package did arrive on time

Do not Buy from Outside USA - return shipping cost not included even in the US
I ordered 3 pairs of watersocks and returned 2. (Total shipping cost for Canada : 35$ + 25$ return + 40$ custom fees because they do not charge GST and prepare documents for customs). If you buy from Amazon or another company that handles charging GST for customs it will be a lot cheaper (5% as oppopsed to 20%+10$), it will be faster and most of the time free to return
Total shipping cost: 125$ for a returned order of 202$ :-(

Top professionel - og lave priser....
Har nu brugt Outdoorplay.com et par gange til køb af kajak udstyr. Selvom dollarkursen er høj, der kommer moms og toldafgift på, har jeg sparet over 1500kr - ved en ordre på ca. 6000kr, set i forhold til danske butikker, og ved brug af rabatkode. Og så har de stort set alt, i alle varianter og størrelser. Første gang jeg bestilte, tog det et par dage inden de afsendte, de skulle sikkert lige tjekke mit Visa kort? Anden gang fik jeg en mail 2 timer efter bestilling, om at varen var afsendt. Med track&trace. Ca. 8 dage efter kommer der besked fra Postdanmark om at de lige vil have lidt penge inden udlevering.
Havde også lidt spørgsmål, og de er lynhurtige til at svare tilbage på mail.
Så kan klart anbefales ved større indkøb af specielle ting.
