Northgate Vehicle Hire - Crawley Omdömen 

Huge thank you to Slate who resolved my issues after what felt like an eternity of wasted calls to the workshop team.
Having booked my van in a week prior for routine servicing it has taken a phone call every day to Northgate to find out when we are likely to receive the vehicle back, only to be told by them that it would most likely still be a week before it is released from the workshop, I spoke with Slate about getting a replacement vehicle as my business urgently needs a vehicle, Slate went above and beyond to get me a replacement vehicle ready to be collected later the same day.

Have now been invoiced for £112. For what i do not know. Having quiried an email for damage to a wall of a tyre but i have none been into them since march. Dione was the person who sent the email but no further communication from her since. Email arrived today with the invoice but no one in the office to answer and questions..

Slate grey and the other in the office were really helpfull they went out their way to make sure we were looked after and our issues solved.
They were very professional and helpful even have us and very nice coffee.

The team were excellent!
Our delivery was a tricky one, due to location and the Crawley branch went out of their way to make it happen on the day we needed and all before 10AM!

Very friendly staff there, explained the features of the van when they arrived.

The account manager and booking team have been so helpful in making the order and delivery process smooth.

Highly recommend Northgate and I'm looking forward to ordering more vehicles for our fleet!

I wouldn’t
Gave in my tipper at Warninglid for a routine service which was meant to be a 2 hour wait has taken over a week
Calls to them go unanswered, emails not being returned, but still being charged for the time the vehicle is not being used
Terrible customer service
Not likely to renew my long term contract
No updates on when it will be ready and in the meantime paying another vehicle hire company for the temporary hire to carry on our business

Had great service from Kyle at Northgate Crawley ,
My van had broken down and I knew that I would be waiting sometime for repair or loan van , But Kyle was fantastic,I told him the issue I had and really needed my van back as soon as possible ,he said he would look into finding a new or loan van ..later the same day I had a call from Northgate saying they had found me a loan van ,I was surprised as I new they had van shortage ..
The speed in which Kyle moved to help was great ,
Back on the road in less day well happy …

Our experience of dealing with the Crawley Service Centre has been appalling and has caused interruptions to our business activities.

The root of the issue is extremely poor levels of communication, both internally and with the customer but in addition there is no attention to detail, no planning, nor seemingly any interest in trying to provide the customer with an acceptable service or perception of the inconvenience/interruption that is being caused by their actions.

Paperwork for our rental agreement was not provided and had to be requested.

The allocated workshop time per our confirmation email did not agree to the booking in the workshop calendar. I was told when I turned up that the vehicle was booked in at a different time and on presentation of the confirmation email I was simply met with a sigh.

Every time that I speak to someone, they ask what works the van is booked in for, including when we dropped the vehicle off on site. Why is there no record of this?

A loan vehicle that had been promised was unable to be provided, meaning that works had to be rescheduled. This was not communicated prior to us driving over an hour to their workshop, meaning that it was a wasted trip, therefore incurring us additional fuel costs and lost man hours.

When we returned at a later date, the loan vehicle provided was a LWB van, rather than the SWB van that we were renting from them, meaning that it isn't suitable for our needs. On the basis that the repairs would be completed promptly this should not have been a big issue but the van has been with them for 1 month and the repairs still haven't been completed. No pro-active updates provided during this time.

When I have was able to speak to someone I was told that they could not provide me with a timetable for the works being completed.

Account Manager is non-responsive.

A really disappointing service from top to bottom. Basic customer service needs to be addressed.

Based on the "service" that we have received, I would be unable to recommend Northgate to anyone.

Well, where do I start.

Vans don’t last long, they break down all the time.

When we ask Northgate to repair any issues it takes months.

Any replacement vans are the same.

Services take a week or longer.

Staff are rude and never sort your problems out, or if they do takes a few more months.

Gave us a replacement vehicle recently. (our policy says replacement van for all our tools and equipment etc) they gave us a Vauxhall corsa loooool.

The list goes on.

Highly recommend to stay away.

Turned up waited 20 mins for someone to see us regarding replacement.
Took 4 months for work to be done on the van for a PDF filter for the ad blue, before receiving the van back.
Gave me a car when our policy is a van replacement only. To which the car had no fuel and was told to go and fill it up at the local garage a 4 miles away.
Staff are rude and don’t solve our issues.
Never have any replacement Loan vans when works are required on my van.
Get told by staff I would be contact when replacement Loan is found, was not contacted for 5 days in the end had to contact head office who tried to resolve issue for myself.

Had a van on lease with these guys for 2 years now.
The service is abysmal. the van goes into the garage for routine maintenance. they never call to say its ready, I have to ask what's been done or else they'll just hand you the van and that'll be the end of it.

(its currently been in the garage for 3 days now just for 1 tyre and the brakes to be replaced)

This is at branch level but please don't think it gets any better when you try to go through their ranks.

The whole company from top to bottom have no idea how to communicate except at the initial sales pitch.

Don't be fooled like I was and set yourself up for 3 years of disappointment, I cannot wait for this last year of contract to be over.
