Begin er niet aan
Mijn abonnement werd stilzwijgt verlengd. Er werden onmiddellijk administratieve kosten toegevoegd en gedreigd met incasso. Ik heb zelf contact opgenomen met de klantendienst om te kijken hoe we dit oplossen met de melding dat ik over het blad zelf (national geografic traveller) tevreden ben en dat ik van plan was mijn abonnement te verlengen maar dat ik niet wens op de draaien voor extra kosten (administratief of incasso). Dit werd beantwoord met een brief van een Incasso bureau. Niet te begrijpen dit. Wie wil er hier nog klant zijn? Mijn advies, begin er niet aan.

Customer service is excellent. Any time I have had any issues or questions I have gotten a swift reply.
Hard to change the e-mail address of the international account
With an international account it is hard to change the e-mail address. Within the web account administration it is not possible to change the e-mail address. I needed two e-mails to the support to suceed to find the proper way. a new account is therefore necessary!
The process ist according to this:
1. Go to ngm external administration hompage
2. Click Create an Account Now
3. Enter your new email
4. Click to receive a verification code by email to activate your account.
5. Enter the verification code and then proceed to set up a password
6. Later You may need to add the subscription from the old account too.

Subscriprion stopped, but recovered with good support
Contents: Very good, educational and worthwhile to read.
Subscription: Suddenly stopped without any reason. They say life confirmation letter was sent to me, but it did not alive. There is no backup system to that kind of failure.
Support: Very good. The recovery from above incident was treated quickly. Responses were professional.

Lifetime subscription hiccups...
I have a lifetime subscription. Suddenly the magazines stopped coming. I inquired with the customer service and was told that they are sorry that the 'still alive?'-confirmation letter got lost.
The result - I lost six months of magazines until now and (as of April 2026) I was told that the magazines will continue to be sent from July 2026 onwards. So the published saved 10 months of magazines just by claiming that a letter (that maybe never existed) was lost somewhere.
I observe the development of the magazine and its commercial affiliations for many years now. And one thing is sure - with a main focus on extracting money no value is being created for anyone. Sad!

Disappointed
Hello, the Mail you mention I did. never receive. Wy do I have to wait until July to get the next Magazine. In this case I miss almost 1 Year.

Missing the request to confirm the existing adress
Some 50 years ago I joined NG as a lifetime member. Every time again I am impressed with the magazines. Much appreciated!!! Very nice pictures, maps, stories etc. I am aware that once in a while one should informe you that one is still alive. I have done that before. But some how I missed the request last year. But being away for a few months I did not notice missing issues during a period of six months. My fault off course. I am now back in the system. Thanks to customer services. Good!! But would there be a way to warn me again that I did not note your request that I am still living at the known address.

I am happy with the National Geographic magazine, generally I always liked this magazine, the work being done through the years with all contributors.
Email Customer Services also were very helpful for me whenever I had problem with my subscriptions and changes.
Keep always up.
PS: probably the online subscription system could be single for all countries, but this might not be so easy, as sometimes it is confusing as the login accounts for UK are not so direct, but this is minor problem

I just started my subscription because…
I just started my subscription because I want to buy more physical magazines and I really enjoy NG. I had a few problems with the first deliveries but they have been very attentive on the costumer service, they have extended my subscription to match when I am really getting the magazine.

Quick turnaround with resolution! I had the wrong city listed for a new gift subscription to National Geographic. I had a very quick response and correction. I am very confident this magazine will be delivered timely and accurately!

Valoro muy negativamente la suscripción digital, da muchos problemas en las tablets, actualizan constantemente el sistema y de repente te quedas sin poder entrar y no te dan ninguna solución. Experiencia pésima, tirar el dinero.

I had a great overall experience
I had a great overall experience. I really did not experience any problems, be it with subscribing or changing the delivery address (which I often do).

NG understood my situation and reacted immediate and proactively.
Bad level of customer service
When I moved 3 years ago I send a change of address 3 months before moving. It took 6 months before my new address was in the system.
During these 6 months I did not receive any magazines.
Beginning of this year I had to call again since had not received any magazines. This happened due to the fact I did not receive the letter requesting if I would like to continue my subscription (why would I not want to?). I called and excuses were made, situation will be resolved. Regrettably this will take 4 months and I will not be receiving any magazines.
Very dissatisfied with this level of customer service.

Subscription Delay
I place a gift order 8 weeks ago for a children’s subscription. In 3 separate phone calls with customer service I was told it had been delivered March 5th which it had not, then I was told it is due to be delivered tomorrow March 17th, then I was told it was delivered March 5th which again it was not. When I asked what proof they had for delivery they could not provide any. During one phone call I was disconnected. I finally spoke to a supervisor and she said another copy of the March/April edition will be mailed and delivered in 2 weeks from now. National Geographic is a good organization but their subscription and customer service departments are not.

Good and quick support after issues with subscription
My subscription got into the status of "cancelled" because I didn't receive NGS' request to confirm my address.
When I realised this (after not having received my issues) customer service was very responsive and helpful to reestablish my subscription and to organise the missing magazines for me.
Not as good
I have taken out a subscription after many years.It is not what it used to be.The quality of the print is very, very poor.I thought I was suffering fom poor eyesight.
