I contacted this company last week to enquire about my account and the person I spoke to was very rude and shouted at me. She wouldn’t help me sort out my account and said I had to email instead even though the email stated I needed to call.
I would not recommend this company as the whole service is shocking. Stay away

Not called motorhog anymore because of the amount of legal proceedings against them basically if you want shafting this is the place to go customer service absolutely shocking here pathetic the cars aren't as described many recovery firms refuse to pick cars up from here avoid at all costs COPART is a million times better

Bought alternator,the pully was ceased.Who would send part without checking simple thing like that

Sold my car to them yesterday with the understanding that the money is paid by the end of business but although when I phoned to check if the payment had been sent I was told yes in the afternoon 4 times .But to my surprise when I checked my bank at 8.30 this morning still not there so I phoned up there head office where I was told we have just sent payment ?? So yesterday they lied to me ?? Erm yes don’t trust what they say guys.

Please do not purchase your vehicle from this company. I bought my car from them just over a year ago. The vehicle was recalled by Volkswagen for an emissions test at which point we were told it had been fitted with an illegal chip on its DPF and the car was basically not fit. At the beginning Motorhog were amazing offering to solve the situation free of charge and I was all for leaving them an amazing review. However since doing the work I have now had the car checked by 2 separate garages who have told me there is a blown gasket due to the work done. I went back to Motorhog and told them I would pay for this repair but was assured there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. My vehicle is now spewing black smoke from under the bonnet and I have emissions coming into my vehicle, not good for both my unborn child and myself. I contacted Motorhog again and this time was told the vehicle was out of warranty and they should never have done the work on it in the first place, and it is basically me fault for buying a used vehicle. Thank you Motorhog, since you have accepted liability for the first issue, I have already sought legal advice. I will see you in court.

Motorhog are a very dishonest company they will sell you any faulty part and make you jump through hoops to get your money back avoid like the plague trust me your better off buying a new part than dealing with these cowboys!

The fella came to collect my old car at 9am told me they would need a smaller truck as the road was busy. I said why not just push the car on to the road. No, was the answer didn’t even attempt to get the car on to the road. Was told by the driver we have a smaller truck in the area would be 30 mins. 1 hour 30 mins pass. Decided to ring the office spoke to a very apologetic lady who said not a problem I’ll get on to the driver and call you back in 5 mins. Safe to say this didn’t happen. I waited another hour before ringing the office to speak with the same lady who said a gentleman was due to ring me back he’s back in the office in 5 mins. But I’d never spoken to a gentleman I was expecting a call back from you after you spoke with the driver. Who then advised this gentleman will call me back as my details have been passed to him. 25 mins late receive a call from another lady who said there nothing they can do but come collect the car Tuesday. I’ve taken the day off work so the car can be collected very poor service would not recommend. Sorted out alternative within 15 mins

Phoned to enquire about a part for a car was told they had the model in that we needed. We then travelled 20miles it started to torrent down with rain the traffic was appauling we had our grandaughter in the car with us when we got there was told no we don't have any of those cars in. Disgusting customer service avoid at all costs.

Sold van with clocked mileage, when I contact company taht mileage is incorrect they want over £500 relist fee and they relisted the van with false mileage again PN16XDT IS REGISTRATION OF THE VAN, please check HPI to have a look that mileage has been clocked over 100000 miles

for the right part for my car

I won a car in the auction which had minor frontal damage - wing needed replacing and bumper realigning. When it arrived it was clear to see that a broken headlight from another car (clearly evident as it had scrapyard writing on it) had been put together with cable tie to make it look like it wasn't damaged. As soon as I opened the bonnet it fell out. Also the alloys were changed to smaller one's from an older model and the tyres were completely bald and filled with tyre weld which someone had kindly left in the boot. Needless to say I will not be using motorhog again as they make cars look like they have less damage to make more profits.

My car needed a new turbo, and it wasn't economical to fix. The fixed price, was not much more than the repair itself. Motorhog offered me £800. This was the highest quote bar WeBuyAnyCar, but my Motorhog quote was final. It was easy to retrieve a quote, and easy to accept and arrange collection of my car. The Driver called me to advise they would be 20 minutes away. The Driver was extremely helpful in advising what needed to be filled out and send to DVLA. I received a receipt for the sale of my car, and told I would receive my money in my bank that afternoon. It in fact took 3 hours between my car being collected and funds in my bank. I received the exact amount I was quoted, no admin fees etc. I would recommend to anyone.

I can only go by my experience which I have to say, was a very positive, professional service from Motorhog. They called before collecting my car to arrange a pick up day and time. Advised me of what documents where required to sell my car to them. The collection driver arrived as promised and was very pleasant, professional. Money for my car was paid direct into my bank same day. I would be more than happy to recommend Motorhog to anyone. Well done Motorhog for an outstanding professional service.

Needed an engine for 1.9tdi 130 audi A4 so bought one quite reasonably priced from Motorhog(SYNETIQ)fitted it .Slight smoke on start up & as it warmed to full temp under acceleration thick blue smoke !Turbo checked (fine)engine breathing heavily from breather pipe! Pulled engine out & took back for exchange.Fitted next engine & unbelievably the same problem!! given 30 days warranty so no problem with exchange but no way will they cover labour costs incured by them selling you knackered parts!
I HAVE WORKED OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS FOR YOU FOOLS AT DONCASTER MOTORHOG!!
DON'T TAKE THE ENGINES OUT THEN STEAM CLEAN THEM & SHELVE THEM FOR MONTHS YOU IMBACILES !
THERES WATER GETTING INTO THE ENGINES & RUSTING THE CYLINDER BORES & PISTON RINGS CAUSING THE RINGS TO STICK IN THE PISTONS RENDERING THE ENGINES USELESS!!!!!!

Sold my car to them promised money by 11am still not received it a hour after having to chase it

One of the worst companies I have ever come across, wouldn’t ever do business with these guys again. Rude staff who will lie through their teeth. Would rather give someone else custom than this company avoid avoid avoid.

I bought car from them on the auction for £1180
After I didn’t want it because it was very far to pick up. I called them and I asked them ef I can cancel it. They told me I have to pay £120 and send email asking for cancellation. i payed £120 cancellation fee and I send them 6 emails asking for cancellation.
One the next day the send me massage saying that £120 payed for the car and my balance is £1060. I called them agin and I explain that to them. The lady was very disrespectful and she hung up on my face and she didn’t Evan tell me what’s goon happened. Never use this company

Don’t buy a car from them! Their cowboys! We got a car from them and we got it home and it wouldn’t start! They took it back and a week later we got it back thought it was fine! NOT! It broke down again2 weeks later! they took it again after so many calls as they don’t call you you are ringing getting lots of excuses weeks go by they don’t know what’s wrong! said cars gone to another garage and they still didn’t know??? So they say! Didn’t know were it is what’s happened ? In the end very angry frustrated asked full refund they said no! Is gone pass 28 days! So to get our refund they took £500 off the car at 45p a mile since we had it! Which was most mile going back and forth to their garage! If I could put no stars I would! Don’t go there!

Needed a bumper for my Discovery 2. Found one at Motorhog and was initially a bit dubious given the reviews. However, the people on the phone were efficient, if a bit brusque, the price was right and most importantly, it arrived when they said it would, well packaged and in perfect condition.
