What a great day out. Lots of stars to see aqnd i'll be going again.

I attended Comic Con Scotland over the weekend. This was my first Comic Con ever at the age of 46. It was also my 12 year old sons' first ever too.

My experience of the Monopoly staff over the weekend was, quite simply, outstanding. No - it was stellar, in fact. There was not one single member of staff that we interacted with who was not polite, helpful, friendly and caring. Nobody came across as a "jobsworth" or moody or tired. Although, with the nature of what the staff must be faced with while they are working, I do not know how they managed to keep smiling. These people are absolute gold tier assets and a credit to your company. Treasure them.

I did not get any of the staff names over the weekend but, as I said, every single staff member we spoke to was clearly well versed in delivering high quality customer service. They all carried and conveyed themselves as grounded, decent human beings. Based on this, I have to assume that all of your staff must possess this outstanding level of professionalism and decency. A huge well done to them all. And well done to you, Monopoly, for seeing what pure diamonds these people are that you have chosen to represent your organisation. 

The only notable mentions that I have to say to you, were the 2 ladies who were stationed at Photo Booth D on the Sunday. They helped my son and I multiple times throughout that day. I noticed that the times my son approached them (which were multiple) with questions or queries, he was spoken to politely, maturely and without impatience or being patronised. These 2 women appeared in absolute control of the issues caused by the Noah Schnapp delays. They remained calm (or appeared to anyway) and kept EVERYTHING around them running like a well oiled machine. If you know who these women are, please do pass on our gratitude and thanks. 1 woman wore a black vest top and had many tattoos. She wore her hair in a ponytail. The other woman had black, shoulder length hair (worn "down") and had a very young face. These 2 in particular deserve a medal. I would actually like you to share the contents of this email to ALL your staff who worked over the weekend at Comic Con Scotland. 

That entire event could have been catastrophic if the staff were not so well trained and organised. I also don't think Monopoly would be the company it is without these decent, hard working, good hearted human beings.

I extend to the staff my genuine, heart felt gratitude for making the most memorable experience to date that I have shared with my son.

went to comic con scotland 2026, and can confidently say that monopoly events have went totally down hill. i have been attending the convention for 5 years now, and the organisation has always been great, except for this year. me and my dad went and as soon as we walked in we were totally shocked by how busy it was, as if they had over sold the event. far too many people in such small buildings, the space was not being utilised well whatsoever. My dad uses a wheelchair, and we found the event very poor in terms of accommodating those with disabilities. The stalls this year were also not as great as the past few years.
Overall, far too many people for the buildings capacity, will not be returning unless the location changes to something more appropriate

We attended Comic Con Liverpool in October 2026, having travelled from Scotland specifically for a professional photograph with Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington. Unfortunately, Kit cancelled shortly before the event, which was disappointing but entirely understandable given he's a working actor and is not the reason for this review.

My biggest concern was the lack of clear information surrounding entry times and photograph schedules. Our standard entry tickets permitted admission from 11am, yet the relationship between entry times and celebrity photograph sessions was not adequately explained during the booking process. With substantial additional costs involved in purchasing photo opportunities, it was extremely concerning to realise that a session could potentially be scheduled before our permitted entry time. The ticket stated "Anytime between 9am-6pm". Customers should not have to investigate whether the tickets they have purchased will actually allow them to attend the experience they have paid for. Clear information about scheduling, entry requirements and any need for early-access tickets should be provided before payment.

Following Kit Harington's cancellation, our duo photograph booking was converted to a solo session with Emilia Clarke. However, the revised schedule initially failed to clearly identify the sessions previously allocated to duo photographs, leaving us uncertain whether our original 14:25 slot was still valid. I eventually had to contact TicketQuarter directly to obtain confirmation. The schedule was subsequently updated to identify the former duo sessions, demonstrating how easily this confusion could have been avoided.

On arrival, the lack of signage was astonishing. There was no clear indication of which queues corresponded to which entry tickets, and even the accessible entrance was not clearly identified. Staff were having to direct confused attendees verbally. For an event of this size, basic signage should not be an afterthought. There were maps displayed on TV screens that didn't particularly make anything clearer, if anything, they confused matters.

The professional photograph itself was extremely rushed. I appreciate that celebrity guests have demanding schedules and hundreds of attendees to accommodate, but the interaction felt like a production line rather than a particularly enjoyable experience, especially considering the cost. This is a criticism of the event format and organisation, not of Emilia Clarke - she was lovely.

Collecting our photograph and prepaid frame was also unnecessarily confusing. Additionally, my frame ticket was explicitly described as an “A3 Autograph Frame”, despite being purchased alongside a professional photograph and supplied as a mounted photographic display. While I genuinely like the finished product, the description was unnecessarily unclear and does not contain any autograph.

To be fair, Emilia Clarke was lovely, and we are delighted with our photograph and the finished frame. The guests themselves are not the issue. The guest lineup is the only reason this review is 2 stars instead of 1.

However, the overall experience was overshadowed by poor communication, inadequate signage and entirely avoidable confusion at multiple stages. For an event attracting thousands of attendees and charging substantial amounts for additional experiences, I expected a considerably better standard of organisation.

Unfortunately, despite being pleased with our photograph, the experience has left me reluctant to attend another Comic Con Liverpool event.

I used the send in service as I couldn't make the event. I was nervous sending a signed poster in the post. But I didn't need to worry the process was very smooth and I got photos of the guest signing to. These guys know how to put on amazing events and I've never had an issue . Thanks Monopoly 👍

This is the biggest money grab scheme i think i have ever seen. Last year i was due to get a photo with Christopher Lloyd. Unfortunatley he became unwell and was unable to attend. I completley understand this and although i feel there is instances with other celebrities pulling out for 'filming commitments' where the event should be held accountable, this one was not there fault. However, i was only going to this event for the photo, but they forced me to buy entry tickets which they would not refund. So when Christopher Lloyd was back this year, i decided to give it another go, and to my luck there were 3 others from the Back to the future franchise. The celebrities themselves were flawless, super kind, energetic and friendly. However, i paid A LOT of money for my photos and autographs, and then if i want the digital copy i have to pay even more?! Also, Christopher Lloyd was heavily over booked, a ~1hr wait time for genuinley 3 seconds, he was over running and i didn't like how they were pushing people through like he was a landmark you were having your photo with. If i could have chosen a different comic con i would have, but unfortunatley these money grabbing clowns were they only ones with the celebrities i wanted to see.

Saw a posting on IG for signed merchandise from my all time favourite tv show for an international convention held back earlier this year which I was unable to attend in person. The item in question was also something I’ve since long been after, and have been unable to source it anywhere since it was a duo autograph of my favourite characters in which it is rare these days for one of the individuals to attend these kind of events in person. After some back-and-forth communication, I ended up purchasing the memorabilia to complete my mini collection. I had a little difficulty at first with international payment but that issue was kindly and quickly resolved thanks to the amazing person and swift action of Mirka (Prague branch) who dealt with my request. I just want to give Mirka a personal thank you, This individual went above and beyond to help me. I appreciate the high class service I was given throughout the entire process from purchasing my order to having it shipped and delivered, I was kept in contact the entire time which I appreciate. My authentic item I received is in impeccable condition and now sits proudly on my wall completing my mini collection. Thank you Mirka for everything you did for me. Your service was first class! I would highly recommend Monopoly Events to others and would use their service again.

I have been attending monopoly events conventions since 2018. As an avid comic goer I find that the monopoly ones are the best! They have great venues, fantastic guests, sets and prop attractions there. The staff have always been very helpful and friendly towards me. I’d fully recommend a monopoly event to anyone who has never been one before.

A genuinely great event! Run by friendly staff and so well organised. The events have so much to do and see and so many vendors that there is always something for everyone. 10/10 would recommend!!

Having attended Monopoly Events at the NEC, Telford and Manchester for the past two years, I can honestly say I’ve made some brilliant memories along the way ❤️

One of the things I really enjoy about these events is that they never feel massively overcrowded or oversold. There’s always been plenty of room to walk around, stop and look at things properly, chat to people and just enjoy the atmosphere without feeling like you’re constantly being pushed along by crowds.

The sets and props just seem to get better with every event too! For the Love of Retro 2026 was definitely a highlight for me. The attention to detail was amazing and there were so many great photo opportunities.

But something I was especially happy to see this year was a separate stage for the Cosplay Championship and Showcase. ❤️

As a cosplayer, I know how much time, effort, money, creativity and sometimes pure determination goes into putting a cosplay together. Not every cosplay is screen accurate or professionally made, but every cosplayer deserves that moment to step up, show what they’ve created and have their chance to shine. ✨ Seeing cosplay given its own dedicated space was such a positive step and something I really hope continues at future events.

It’s also always lovely seeing familiar faces and catching up with stallholders I’ve got to know from attending different events. I would personally love to see a little more variety when it comes to the types of stalls though, just so there’s something a little different to discover each time.

Meeting the celebrity guests has always been a really pleasant experience too. I think the VQ and time-slot system works really well and makes everything feel much more organised and relaxed.

And finally, the staff! Every event I've attended, I've always found the staff welcoming, friendly and happy to help, which really does make a difference.

Two years, three different locations and lots of memories later, I'm still enjoying what Monopoly Events has to offer and looking forward to seeing what comes next. ❤️

For me, conventions aren’t just about who’s appearing or what you can buy — they’re about the people, the cosplay, the atmosphere and the memories you make along the way. 🥰

We have been attending Monopoly Events since 2022 and each event brings us so much joy. Now as our children are older and have left home they have become a place for us to meet up have fun and embrace our geek!! From the props to the cosplay to the plethora of things to do let alone the guests for us Monopoly give us the best of everything ❤️

I attended the Manchester Comic-Con and it was so good, got to meet loads of amazing actors and the staff was very nice helping me find out times for things I’m super looking forward to the next one

Truly vibrant experience at every one of their events. Enticing traders, great cosplay, photo opportunities. What stands out for me is that you feel like its all done by fans for fans. The Q and As are a favourite where you can just be there, listen to a special guest and relive movie moments from your childhood.

I love their organization and the opportunity they offer to meet world-renowned actors and make dreams come true

No company does an event like monopoly, theres no competition anywhere in the UK, the staff are so competent and patient and always willing to help and make sure everyone has the best time.

each year the events get bigger and better and im always astounded by what they accomplish. Improvements are always made and its so lovely to see the community they have built and that they still reach out to attendees to see what they want more of - monopoly listens

I couldn’t make the sci-fi event in London in August to meet John Cena - I reached out to merchandising to let them know and ask if there was any possibility of getting a signed photo - the kind people in the department were extremely helpful and sent one through by post shortly after the event! Really happy with the experience, highly recommended! I believe it was Jason who sent it through, thank you Jason, and thank you to the rest of the team too!

Save your money - the cons are a con. The send in service is appalling. They'll send you back half completed items, and you have to foot the bill to send them back.

You'll have to sit around all day if collecting anything, and more often than not, things "get lost in the post".

But, Monopoly won't tell you anything until weeks after they've gotten your money, and you chase them.

Mr Kleek - it's not hard mate but staff need to be less rude, and more helpful. But now you've gotten the erm, monopoly, on events, it's pure greed.

Fantastic service always. I usually use their send in service for signings when I can’t attend the event, and they are always communicative and helpful on all responses . Orders are sent out quickly and your items are always looked after.
