Very fast service.
My charger was removed from the back of my wheelchair (also from Mobility Extra) therefore, had to order another. The service was rapid, ordered it one day, got it the next. That's what I call brilliant customer service.

Electric Mobility Scooter Purchase
After much investigation online and over the telephone with numerous other companies I, spoke with a gentleman at Mobility Extra who provided me with information and advice on the electric scooters that I failed to receive from other dealers.
I spoke with him on the 20th October 2025 to discuss the scooters that his company sold. He was most helpful and advised me on the product that he felt would best suit my needs. As a result, I purchased a scooter on the 20th October 2025 and this was delivered to me on the 23rd October 2025.
I would like to thank him for his advice and help.

Spare parts
Sadly my chair broke, took it to local repairer, who said couldn’t get the part. Which was the controller & cable. So called mobility extra for advice. Absolutely great had the part shipped that day I got it next day.
Was fitted. Now able to get about again.
Customer service is great and friendly.
Never thought about getting spares from them. Also ordered another cable to connect the 2 spare batteries together, for added usage when out. I would recommend this company 100%.

MX-ULTRA Powerchair
I am really happy with my choice of powerchair (MX-ULTRA). It arrived on time and as advertised. It's very different to my previous powerchair and I struggled briefly with my confidence at using the joystick, but I quickly adapted to it. It folds up and down with ease and helps give me my independence.

Poor customer service and returns policy
Very unfortunate. We purchased the electric wheelchair from mobility extra for my father and 19 days later, my father died. This was 5 days outside Mobility Extra’s 14 day return policy. These are their T&C’s but it is a hard one to take during this period of bereavement. They do not even have a buy-back scheme whereby you can recoup some of the lost cash. Note that we spent £1700 on a chair that was never used once and is in pristine condition in its original box. Any discussion of trying to assist us was immediately shut down by their agent on the phone. Recommend buyers use their discretion when purchasing this equipment and choose a vendor who provides greater flexibility and perhaps sympathy.

We fully understand how distressing this situation must feel. As a business, we do our best to balance compassion with fairness and consistency for all customers. Our 14-day return policy is clearly outlined at the point of purchase and is in line with industry standards. Once this period has elapsed, we are unfortunately unable to accept returns, even in these very sad circumstances.
That said, we absolutely did not intend for our communication to come across as unsympathetic. We will review how this was handled to ensure our team communicates with care and clarity in sensitive situations.
While we are not able to operate outside our returns policy, we can suggest alternative avenues such as local charities, care facilities, or specialist resale groups, many of which are able to help families recoup some value from unused mobility equipment.
We truly appreciate your feedback, and we are sorry that your experience with us at such a difficult time has not met your expectations.
