DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
We paid an upfront call-out charge of £42, then the electrician told us there was an additional hourly rate of £220 per hour. We ended up paying £262 for.a twenty-minute job to disconnect the power supply from a shed. Absolute con.

Overpriced
Andrew, the plumber who came out to us, did a fantastic job. He was professional and knew what he was doing. The only problem was the £210 an hour charge. I was not made aware of this when I phoned the company. I was charged a £42 call out fee over the phone, but no mention of the extortionate hourly rate. I will not be using this company again.

Booked at noon on a Friday - let down
Booked at noon on a Friday, they said someone will be out that day, 4pm arrived, plumber can't make it. We agreed that I'd call first thing Monday, to either cancel and get a refund of my £41 call out charge or continue with the booking. 8.30am Monday plumber turns up anyway, so I guess I wouldn't be getting a refund of call out even if I had got it fixed over the weekend. £180 for 20 mins work, (£25 of which was a £5 flexi-hose) + £41.

These people are chancers
These people are chancers. Exploiting people who are requiring urgent work and therefore vulnerable. They charged me £42.00 to quote then quoted equivalent of £1200 per day for labour alone. Engineer was rude and disinterested.
Find a genuine local engineer if you can. These people will rip you off.

We are a family run business and fully employ 17 engineers as well as a small office team. Our charges cover staff salaries, offices premises, vehicles, training, VAT and much more.
Our call out charge covers the engineers travel, to carry out a visual inspection and to provide a quotation, you are not obligated to go ahead.

I contacted M J Harris about some small…
I contacted M J Harris about some small plumbing jobs. They were very helpful and arranged for a visit on Monday after calling on Friday afternoon was very good. As promised Jordan called to give a time he would be here. He arrived on time was very helpful gave me an estimate and got the supplies he needed and did all the jobs . he is a credit to the company took everything away and left no mess. If I ever need any other jobs I will certainly contact them again and would recommend them.

Most useful heating engineer I have ever had. Explained clearly what needed to be done to fix my hot water problem. Even fixed a radiator which others couldn't. Highly recommended.

Contact with company was straight forward and professional. Plumber arrived as promised the next day, contacting us as promised confirming arrival time. Repair to toilet system was carried out efficiently and chap cleaned up afterwards.

This crowd are a bunch of cowboys
This crowd are a bunch of cowboys. After phoning earlier in the morning explaining that I wanted a radiator fitted to the wall coming from out of the wall (horizontally) rather than vertical connection, and that a small amount of chasing would be needed. I queried with them whether this is work that they would do, they replied yes, but were insistent on paying a call out fee. They arrived that afternoon, and on inspecting the job, the plumber said this is not something we normally do, we can do it but it would cost a lot. I explained that I verified that this work could be done earlier with the office and was told yes. I proceeded on this basis. He then went away can came back with a price of £680 + £50 fittings to do the job -> To fit one radiator, they also explained that this would not include making good the wall and potentially if we were to come back that would be another call out charge and time to re-fit the radiator, so I stated to him, what your saying is that it's now £730 + VAT + another £40 call out + potentially more time @ £200/hr to fit the raditor, getting on for £1000 to fit a radiator, really, a prime example of rip off Britain. I wrote to the compeny on 19th May stating my concerns and asked for a response, reminder sent 27th Many , again no response. Stay clear of this lot with a barge pole, not recommended. I used a local company complete done £280, buyer beware!!
By the way they did recieve it but just didn't respond I re-sent using the same e-mail address, after trust pilot review was written they then responded!

Waited at home 3 days for them to turn up, each time they guaranteed someone would be out the next day in the morning and then would cancel at the end of the day after waiting around for them. Thankfully they refunded us the money but I would not use this company.

Recd’ a fast & efficient service but would simply advise anyone thinking of using this company, to make themselves aware of the total charge quoted & breakdown of. We were charged £210 labour for
30 mins to fit a £34.99 valve in cistern, which we found Outrageous😡Certainly will not be using again!

Only minor complaint is that it is expensive, but understandable. E.g. Taulant travelled from Coventry to complete the job.
