Had this company for years.
Of late my phone calls get cut.off stating that out of service area. Really?!!! At.my home? When this lousy service says that they cover 99% of the country? Shame on you metro.
How about you be honest and tell us.OOPS we have too many people using our service so we cut you off. Since your dishonest and i cannot complete simple phone calls is why you ard losing my patronage.

They Locked Me In the Metro PCS Store and refused to let me out

0 stars form me if I could give it .. Absolutely the worst and I mean hands down the worst Metro PCS I have ever been to at 2935 El Cajon Blvd,San Diego, Cali, 92104 (North Park). They turned off the lights set the alarm and locked me in the store then took pictures of me from the outside. All because I asked for both employees names to make a costumer complaint and Lucia and Edward both refused to give me their names or their manger name which I found out later was Lexxy. I was and still am
In shock by what they did to me. I just wanted help and never received it. Further more I am
Paying insurance on a phone but the insurance is no good . My 16 a month is for nothing because they are saying I am unable able to use but if that’s the case then why am I paying for it monthly. Someone please help ! I work so hard for my money just to be treated like nothing makes me want to cry.

I've had them for 5 years they used to be great now they're getting greedy they're unlimited plan once you reach their Max you then pay $5 each and every day till the end of your billing cycle and when you pay your bill you start over within if you're normal person within 14 days you'll be paying five bucks a day that's their new thing they're doing believe me it's done to me right now!

"My encounter with Metro PCS has been profoundly disheartening and exasperating. I recently acquired a phone under warranty, only to receive a malfunctioning device right from the start. The primary issue revolved around call quality, which was far from satisfactory.

A mere 7 days into my ownership, I decided to return the phone, believing that the warranty would cover such issues. To my astonishment and frustration, Metro PCS levied charges for replacing the equipment they initially provided, which was flawed. This defies all logic and borders on the absurd.

The sensation of being swindled aptly characterizes this ordeal. As a patron, I anticipated equitable and dependable service, yet Metro PCS has demonstrated quite the opposite. It's disheartening to witness a company that should prioritize its clientele behave in this manner. My discontent with this experience is profound, and I intend to reassess my association with Metro PCS moving forward."

Poor customer service

I've had metro internet service since last November. Three days ago my unit stopped working. I called Metro and was told to bring it into a metro store. When I arrived to the store I was told only certain stores do unit replacement. I walked into store 91 in Gulfport ms.and was greeted with starring and rolling eyes from Workers. Questions were asked of me from the counter to the door, as if I was.not allowed to approach the counter. After asking several times if I could come to the counter. I explained I was told to bring my internet unit to this store to be replaced. The female employee that was.work 8/30/30 between 10:00 am and 11:00 am proceeded to tell we don't do that here. After she was corrected by the male employee. I was told they needed to call a manager. I spoke to Katlayn from another store in Mississippi location, she was rude and sarcastic telling me the two employees that handle my issue were off and would return until tomorrow. Based on my experience today I will be switching my service to att.

Since 2003

I have been with metro PCS since 2003. In 2017 I notice the my name was showing up on my account. I had asked them to not show my name on the account arounded. 2012,2013. I was confused why my name was showing up. I called customer service They told me to change my password security code. I changed it
Didn't think anything else about it.
October 2019 I was on the phone talking to a family member the call disconnected. I could hear machines in the back. If a call disconnects you shouldn't hear anything.
I realize that day that someone was in my phone listening to my calls. I have gotten racist text message. In 19 the wouldn't allow the phone to charge in the day time at night they would allow the battery to charge they did this to 2 phones. Then agter a couple days the phones went black. Couldn't use neither phone. In August 2020 they cut the volume off my IPhone 7 plus. I could still use the internet and could dail out and receive calls but I couldn't hear anything. One day I could hear the other phone ringing through the phone. Then again immediaty the volume left again. This year July my son was using his GPS and all of a suddenly his GPS stopped working around 1:00 or 2:00 am in the morning. He's a long way from home trying to figure out how to get home. This Month August 2023 they have stopped his phone from charging. Now someone is working on the backend cutting the phone on and off. That's not all we have an extra phone on the account that we use. Since his phone was cutting on and off I was using the 3rd phone on the account. Before he could leave home they locked the home screen on the phone. This is the phone I was using every day. Nothing was wrong with the phone before that day.They will not allow us to enter the setting on the phone to dail out. Text messages are locked, call received are locked also missed calls are locked. They have destroyed every phone on our account.

Update ruined phone usage

Just did an update on our phones and now I'm no longer have a back button a button to check the apps I have so I can close them and every time I turn on my phone I'm watching their propaganda on celebrities I don't care about wasting my time and phone battery

Honestamente no le pondría ni estrellas a metro por su mal servicio de internet que no funciona en ningún lugar se para cayendo la señal en todas partes, mi internet es de 30 gbs pero la verdad con metro no consumo ni el 3 % de los 30 y pese que pago mucho para un servicio horrible encima de todo no hacen nada para poder mejorar

On phone with them for over an hour 🤬 pay my bill every month for "2" lines and i call to have them program my sim card to a new phone i already had due to original phone no longer working and they couldn't do it cause of some stupid thing about having an active account with that phone for 6 months for that phone to be unlocked to program a new SIM card to that phone 😡 so i let that go 🤷🏽‍♀️ then i pay for another line and for them to ship me a new phone and i am patiently waiting 🙄 then i receive the phone and this supposably extra line i got is NOT an extra line...the phone didn't even come with a SIM card, NOT even a charger for the phone... literally just a phone came in the mail 😡💯 then i call them to program my old SIM card from my other line to this new phone THAT WAS POST TO BE A NEW LINE IN THE FIRST PLACE 😡 and they made sure my sim matched theres in the system and my IMEI matched and everything was good... well long story short they did all these tests and resets to get the phone working and still no service 😡 then my internet goes out on my other phone that does work 😡 i request to speak to a supervisor cause obviously the first lady didn't know what she was doing 😡 the supervisor didn't know what she was doing as well 😡 she refused to even try and fix my internet in general and wouldn't even try or work with me to get my 2nd line working to even make calls... she did absolutely NOTHING to even try and help 😡 she tells me i have to wait 5 to 7 business days to resolve this issues with technical support ppl and i have to go without internet cause of her staff and my 2nd line can't be used either at all 😡💯 then she hangs up on me 😡 so i call back and the 3rd lady i spoke with... she got my internet fixed on my 1st line but still no service at all on my 2rd line 😡 she did everything the 1st lady did and tells me to shut off the phone for 20min and then it will work and still this phone has no service at all 😡 i paid my bill for this month...i should have the service otherwise what did i pay for the new phone to be shipped for 😡 technically i paid for a 3rd line and didn't even get the 3rd line, heck i didn't even get a charger with this new phone😡 the customer service is rude af 💯😡 they don't know what there doing at there job 💯😡 the supervisers are even WORSE then the employees themselves 💯😡 i pay all this money for them to not help me at all 💯😡 for no 3rd line plus no phone service and customer support won't even compensate this time with no phone even tho i paid for it 💯😡 to top that off... I have been supposed to have hotspot and high speed data for both phones this whole time and have called numerous times cause i have had no hot spot on the phone 💯😡 DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO THROUGH METRO PCS DUE TO LAZY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND UNPROFESSIONAL SUPERVISORS 💯😡

I am 5 years with Metro PCS and have…

**updated review now that I am 7 years with Metro PCS. I have recommended MetroPCS to everyone for 6 of years for their super low price and good reception. Their pricing used to be crazy low compared to other, but now Cox has $15 a month for the same plan that Metro was charging me $30. I spent hours working on switching only to find out that if you press Metro on their price, they will give have the same plant I was paying $30 for only $15...you just have to ask them in the right way...maybe the right person. WARNING, if you have no reason to interact with their customer service, they are a competitive service provider...BUT if you need real Tech support, you'd be better off just walking up to a wall and hitting your head against it for 40 mins and skip the call. Every time I reach out to their Customer service, it takes 4 times longer than it should and I end up wishing I hadn't called. They have the friendliest operators possible...way way way too friendly...apparently some really deranged person created a script for them they must stick to that is absolutely maddening because ramble on for minutes saying how much they care and understand your frustration on and on and on, but you can't get them just do anything without talking about it for 10 mins. So overdone... and if they understood my frustration about being on hold for 35 minutes of listening to the same short announcement loop which is horrible...then they just do what I need.

Metro PCS has gone so far downhill!

I used to think so highly of Metro PCS, obviously there has been a major change for the worse in their corporate management in the last two years, which is when I last dealt with them. Although I bought a phone from the store on J. Clyde Morris Blvd a month ago, sadly I did not get insurance. I dropped my phone in water yesterday and it's the first time I've ever done that since owning a smartphone in maybe 10 years? My fault, no problem, I'll go buy another phone, because it was my mistake. Unfortunately, Metro PCS wanted at least $100 to $300 more for the phone I just bought for $176.00 last month, so I opted to go to another company, I definitely needed to keep my phone because everything is connected to your phone number now and it would take months to try and figure out who has what and how to access them when you now have a new number. This is where the trouble began, I bought the damaged phone outright, so all that was needed was for me to get my unlock code. Well, since I can't use my damaged phone to call, all I had was a landline at work and a desktop computer at work. The needed to send me a 6-digit text to verify my identity, but since I didn't have a working phone, they said I could go to the nearest Metro PCS Store, which unfortunately is the Aberdeen Rd Store. (I've had so many issues with that store that I now try to only go to J. Clyde Morris. But it was the closest for my lunch break and so I went. When I got there, I explained what happened (again) and the two ladies behind the counter argued for 5 minutes between them about what was the proper protocol for this situation. I gave them my license, but they said I had to call. I did and they put me on hold for 11 minutes then the phone that the store gave me to use (their company phone) went dead. They put the receiver back in the charger and didn't say a word to me. I had to ask them what now. They had no answer! I was under the impression that they would have a direct number to corporate or whoever gives out access codes and help me, since they verified my identity in person. But no, they wanted me to answer questions like what month did I sign up with them (let's see, that was 10 years ago) I don't remember. Sorry can't help you. (they made all kinds of excuses about FCC rules and, zero compliance. It's hard to believe they thought I believed them. So, I left. I went back to Walmart to take the phone back that I bought. Can't use it so why keep it. Well unbelievably there were some really great people working in the entertainment department that really went the extra mile for me and tried everything they could to help, the manager let me borrow his cell phone, I was put on hold for 40 minutes. Then the girl Metro Corporate argued with me when I asked to speak to her supervisor, then I was put on hold for another 20 minutes. Then the supervisor came on (I really don't believe he really was). I spoke for about 1 to 2 minutes, and he sent me straight to the survey. Boom! there goes at least an hour for nothing! Then they switched me to a survey guy, who even though I explained that I went to the Aberdeen store earlier and tried to get help, he was willing to stay on the line while I drove from Walmart on Cunningham back to Aberdeen and asked them again to help me. I guess I was supposed to take the manager personal phone with me. It would almost be funny if it hadn't been so frustrating. I go back to Walmart tomorrow with phone I had before the purchase a month ago that works and Dennis (Manager) is going to try and help me again using that as a way to get results. It's such a shame that the companies that seem to are now being run by foreign companies have really gone to pot! This is why we all need to get really serious about buying only made in the USA and use only services that work inside the borders of the United States. Otherwise, this will be all we ever have to choose from. As for Metro PCS, if you are smart, you will switch to another provider. I hear that Patriot Mobile is good. Going to check them out next! Going to put this notice on every social media site I have access to, there just is not excuse for this kind of business to thrive.

Worst service ever I really hope their competition whips this whole company irreversibly bankrupt. They could start charging the same prices as Verizon and there's nothing anyone would do about it even tho they suck. I hope the creators suffer the worst carma
