Mark Goodwin Pianos Omdömen

If you are looking to buy a YAMAHA piano do not look any further MGP will get you a decent piano with reasonable price. Trust them 100 percent.
My wife and I decided to buy a piano for my 7 year-old son so he can start practicing and learning this mesmerising instrument.
After research a lot I have finally decided to get a second hand Yamaha piano from golden age.
Completely by chance I came across this family run piano shop. Due to my busy life I was not able to go and try the piano myself and had to ask them to pick a nice sounding piano for me and I am glad that I did.
Mark and Julie have taken care of everything they recommended a very beautiful Yamaha U3 with amazing tone.
Julie was on our side through out the whole process. She was so prompt, organised caring and helpful that honestly I couldn't ask for more. I have exchanged tens of emails and she was absolutely amazing till the last minute.
Delivery was very smooth and uneventful by Mark's dad and his team.
My entire experience with Mark Goodwin pianos was very joyful and stress free from a to z.
Since then my son has started his piano lessons and now our home is filled by delicate sound of this piano.
Even piano guru like Marcus Robert from robertpianos in Oxford endorsed this piano when I sent him a sample video.
My son's piano teacher also love its rich sounds.
If you are looking to buy a decent piano get in touch with Julie and trust her recommendations fully.
At the end I want to thank Julie, Mark and rest of their team for all their kind upport and top notch service.
You guys have a fan here.

As a bit of a novice, I was overwhelmed trying to find a good quality Yamaha U1 or U3 for my young family. I thought I would never find decent service, until I came across Mark and Julie's website!

Other websites or eBay sellers gave hardly any information regarding tone or specific age of piano. I tried asking them for further info on pianos I was interested in, and received very short (and just generally unhelpful) replies! This was of course not the case at all with Mark Goodwin Pianos.

Their service was exactly what I'd been hoping to find from a piano seller -- friendly, and with detailed stock lists of the pianos I was interested in! Each piano listing has its own video attached, of the same piece being played, so you can actually compare pianos side by side without having to visit the showroom! Still to this day I have not found another seller that offers this online. I have no idea why!

More great things about Mark and Julie's website and service:

-speedy and detailed emails back and forth while trying to decide which piano was right for me

-best prices for model and year compared with any other seller I found, and this is with Mark offering pianos which look and feel brand new due to the excellent reconditioning standards.

-great guarantee, free first tuning, extremely quick delivery, what more could you ask for

Finally, my family has a beautiful piano we know will last for years to come. It looks brand new, and feels wonderful to play. We had a 30 day free trial, but of course wouldn't dream of sending it back.

Thanks very much Mark and Julie, you could not have been more helpful, and we are very happy customers.

Our son spent hours trying all of the pianos, as this was one to last a lifetime, and the staff showed him around, and left him to play them all. He narrowed it down to a couple - no pressure, lots of advice, and he eventually chose his favourite - and it was delivered and installed exactly as arranged, and very professionally. It sounds amazing, and he is now heading for Grade 8 with Gusto!

We are very happy with the piano we bought at Mark Goodwin. Sometimes our daughter gets worried about playing in front of others. She was able to try out a range of pianos in a relaxed environment – Alex was very kind. Julie and Mark have been helpful throughout and their advice on the website was great too. The piano Sophie chose has a lovely tone and she is really pleased with it. Thank-you.

I had been looking for a new piano for some time and the more I looked, the more confused I became! Numerous options and nobody able to give a helpful explanation of pros and cons. Mark’s website filled the gap, especially his download-able guide, which provides a comprehensive comparative analysis of the various options.

I decided to proceed and was delighted to be able to book a private viewing and trial (I’m still a learner and not all that happy about playing in front of others!). Communications from Mark and Julie were very helpful indeed and I felt a rapport from the start.

Helpful questions from Mark and Oliver helped me make the right selection (a rather swanky 1987 Yamaha U1) and I placed the order. Julie guides me through the ordering process with great patience and humour, despite all my questions.

Delivery was smooth and prompt. The instrument is now installed in my home, and is my pride and delight. My playing improved within a few weeks!

Thank you Mark, Julie and Oliver for your help, support, humour and friendliness throughout!

Fantastic experience!

Piano delivery was quick, efficient, and pleasant. The staff were very curteous and knowledgeable, not to mention humble. I am still using the tuner they had recommended 3 years ago. Just a wonderful bunch of people, genuine, and the after sales service is faultless!

Very happy.

I decided after years (decades?) of saying "I'd love to learn piano" to finally take lessons. To do this I needed a piano, and I'd never bought one in my life. After much looking around, asking lots of questions and not really knowing what I was looking for, I finally came across Mark Goodwin Pianos. Mark and Julie immediately made me feel welcome and were warm, friendly and informative. They understood that a piano purchase is a big decision and were very patient in answering my questions and concerns. For sentimental reasons I wanted a piano that was made the year I was born (don't ask!). They had one just arrive in - a big imposing Yamaha U3 - and were able to expedite the tuning and get it sent out through fantastic couriers from Manchester to London in just a few days. When it arrived I really couldn't believe how amazing it looked. Everyone who has seen it comments on how 'new' it looks. Of course, as the piano is a little mature (like myself!) it wasn't completely without issue - there were a couple of squeaky keys that needed fixing - but Mark and Julie sorted these quickly through a great local piano tuner, free of charge as part of their warranty. The fact they were just as interested in customer service AFTER the piano was sold and in my home speaks volumes. The piano looks and sounds beautiful, so much so that I never want to leave it alone, which is exactly what you need when taking up this instrument! I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Mark Goodwin to anyone looking to buy a piano. You won't be disappointed.

We bought a Yamaha YUA 3491805 piano from Mark Goodwin on 31st January 2018 which was delivered on the day requested. We were given a free tuning which has recently been carried out. We were delighted with the service and knowledgeable advice given to us by the staff, and were assisted by a lady technician who was able to give us considerable insight into the benefits of the manufacturing details and technical requirements of these fine pianos. When my daughter decided to set up her own studios in the town centre I wanted to give her a good quality piano to go into her new premises. This has now been installed and she has had nothing but compliments and praise from her pupils for her new instrument, which not only looks classy and stylish, but sounds it too.

Really happy with the piano, beautiful tone and looks like new. Less than a week between ordering and delivery, would definately recommend.

I purchased a Yamaha U3 from Mark Goodwin Pianos. I was able to make an appointment to view all the pianos in the showroom and was allowed to stay as long as I wanted to try them all and find the one I liked best. Delivery was easy to arrange even with my very difficult availability, and two weeks later the piano was in my Manchester Apartment ! So pleased. Would definitely recommend anyone looking for a good quality piano at great prices to check this place out.

I spent several months looking at pianos online, deciding what to buy. Julie was very helpful via email and didn't pressure me at all. She sent me various recommendations with videos so I could see each individual piano in action. I was hesitant to buy something so expensive without trying it on person but decided to take the risk and it paid off - I love my piano!

I bought a Yamaha U3 piano after checking out the website then ringing the shop to speak to Julie. She emailed me plenty of additional pictures and a full description of all reconditioning work done. The piano was delivered with good notice, it's brilliant and exactly as described. I'm really pleased and felt that the whole transaction was conducted in a friendly and professional manner. Thoroughly recommended.

Great experience!
I dealt with Julie from the Oldham Branch and because I had a bad experience with a local high street dealer, I was very reluctant at first but the positive reviews gave me a little more confidence with Mark Goodwin Pianos. Julie was fantastic from the start, no pressure into buying, listening to each piano clip with me, just giving candid advice after asking me our requirements and most importantly of all, offered me security and confidence. She said I could return the piano to her for a full refund, if I didn't like it even after a few weeks of trial. That gave me comfort in believing that Mark Goodwin Pianos are fully confident with their products and does not seem like just trying to throw pianos at people just for business.

Surely enough, the piano was delivered in mint condition - the delivery people (although most likely their contracting courier) were extremely professional and helpful. My daughter loved the piano and the sounds were perfect. I immediately knew I had made the right decision. Even post purchase, Julie emailed me to ask how everything is etc... Follow up is great. No questioning, I will not be returning the piano as it is the perfect piece for my daughter. The price for the piano was extremely reasonable compared to many other companies I checked with and their service is just the best. I love them so much and will recommend them to everybody without hesitation. And this is a real review written by a genuine mom :) Thank you Julie and Mark!

I am so grateful to Julie and Chris who made the process of choosing my new piano totally stress free and enjoyable. I would highly recommend them to anyone...they are total professionals!! I now have a lovely Yamaha U1 piano which I can't stop playing!!! Very happy :-)

My experience was good.

Well my experience with Mark Goodwin Pianos is amazing. I would visit them over and over again. I love them!

wow just wow!

We were very happy from start to finish with the whole service. When we visited the showroom the staff took time to understand what we wanted and showed us lots of different options. We were given as much time as we needed to try out different pianos. The payment and booking process was simple and delivery was convenient. We were very happy with post sales service too.We are delighted with our purchase

This is the first time I've bought a piano. The whole process was very easy from trying out various models in London to delivery only days later. Thoroughly recommended.
