The team of fitters laid a kitchen floor covering - they were efficient and careful, leaving everything clean and tidy.

Great company to deal with. They were very responsive and gave me great advice. The installation was done on time and looks really good. I have already booked them again to lay some carpets.

Market carpets are the best in Exmouth. I had my carpets fitted today and James and Ryan done a fantastic job. Hoovered up clean after themselves and were more than helpful with putting my furniture bk in place. The carpets are thick and lush. Well worth the money. All guys at market carpets were so friendly and very very helpful and I must say not expensive at all. Cannot recommend these guys enough. I’m so happy I’m now doing my bedrooms and getting these guys to do my carpets. Excellent work guys. Highly recommend

My recent experience with Market Carpets was so traumatic I have to make these negative comments. As a single woman in her 60s, I was concerned about moving all the furniture when a new carpet was fitted throughout the house. I was assured when they came to measure and again assured when I ordered that moving the furniture would be no problem. It was shown on the order that furniture would need to be moved and that I would need to pay the fitters for doing so. I spent 3 days clearing all the rooms as much as possible but when the fitter arrived he said he only had one arm and was not able to move the furniture. He was rude and aggressive to the extent that his attitude left me in tears. When I rang the Marsh Barton shop, their response was did I not have any friends and family who could move the furniture? This fitter then accused me of being rude and walked out after only being in my house for about 5 minutes. The whole experience was so upsetting and stressful that I cannot recommend Market Carpets at all which is a shame as Steve and Lewis who then came to fit the carpets were fabulous and did an amazing job.

I have moved into my first home which is a new build so I had a blank canvas however I didn't know where to start. Market carpets (Exeter Marsh Barton) were recommended to me as a local family firm. I met Dan who got me started with my choices. The diary was busy for quotes but Dan kindly offered to visit my new home on his way home that evening. He also put me in the diary for fitting the week after to make sure I got a spot. I got a call the next day to advise of my quote and some alternatives which enabled me to compromise what I wanted with price. I went back to the showroom picked my final products assisted by Dan again and then Roger who was very patient and helpful with me. Jack fitted my carpets for which the fitting was included. The next day Joshy fitted my LVT (Van Gough Karndean) which was chargeable but it my opinion was worth every penny as it looks absolutely beautiful and expertly installed. He also fitted my vinyl. They were both lovely to chat to and I felt like they were doing their best for me, very helpful and they did a really good job. I would be happy to recommend Market Carpets in Marsh Barton Exeter and their wonderful staff and I will certainly use them again if I need to. Thank you Market Carpets you have been fabulous

After many false starts which they dealt with efficiently and politely, my carpets are finally laid. Super duper fitting, all quickly and expertly accomplished by all the staff at Market Carpets. Thank you guys, I’m delighted and will recommend you to all.

Market Carpets were recommended to me by 2 people on separate occasions as a result of their good experiences. I decided to go with their recommendations, and I'm glad I did. The showroom staff were friendly and informative and gave me the space and time to browse the wide selection on offer. I was having the whole house carpeted (bar kitchen and bathroom) so they said they could do the work over 2 separate days - in order that I could move furniture into other rooms to enable access to the floors. In the event the carpet layers arrived with all the carpet on the van and said they could complete the job in one day. This they did, moving stuff around whilst they worked. I was delighted that it only took the one day, and so pleased with the result!

Very professional and helpful from measuring to fitting. A really lovely job and very helpful and very friendly. Helpful with any advice. Would recommend with no hesitation

Customer service in Tiverton was very good but the self employed fitters really let themselves down and should be embarrassed with the very poor standard of customer care
After they cleaned up I found sharp pins embedded in my carpet from their packaging
I complained about several things and they laughed on my doorstep
Will never use these fitters again and they are banned from my premises for life

The fitters managed to cut all our telephone lines causing a day of disruption and chaos until it could be sorted out. On that basis, I couldn't recommend them and won't be using them for any further work. The director did contact me to offer assistance, unfortunately unless this involved explaining the situation to my line manager, this would not have proved much use.

Initial contact with Market Carpets was superb; however this didn’t last long.
On the day of fitting a very brusque contractor arrived and when I opened my door he said “Carpets??”, no hello, no introduction, nothing! He also parked in our street blocking my neighbours cars in and actually parking on the pavement, no one could use the pavement at all!! I encouraged him to move!
The day progressed and I could hear him slamming my bathroom door shut…. Bottom line was that with the new carpet on the landing the door would not shut without brut force!
He tried to rectify the situation, whilst continually blaming market carpets for the problem.
Absolutely disgraceful and I would NEVER EVER use Market Carpets again!!! Not happy 😡
I have been left with a door that doesn’t shut properly and I will have to sort myself!!!!!!!

We would highly recommend Market Carpets. Connor in store was very helpful throughout and made the process seamless. The fitters Darren and Tre done a fantastic job and overall we are very happy.

used market carpets in marsh barton for my stair carpet plus rugs from same carpet. the attitude of the staff in marsh barton is excellent as was the guy who came out to measure plus the fitter. as i had a wind in the stairs a template was made to make sure that the pattern followed down which it did. i chose a very patterned carpet in keeping with my victorian house in mid devon and am extremely please with it, the fit and the service from the marsh barton store

Fantastic service from Exeter Market carpets after being badly let down by another larger company. So happy with the results and our husband and wife fitters did an amazing job. Will never go anywhere else now. Highly recommend

Staff in store very helpful. Fitters came into an empty recently decorated room. Marked the walls, in a hurry to get the job done, Left the room messy with bits didn’t even clean up. Couldn’t get out the door quick enough. Will not use again
