Excellent Customer Service
Hi I bought a set of bifold doors over 5 years ago and one of the locking handles became broken.
I contacted made for trade and the customer service I received from Laura Smithyman was excellent so professional. Although the doors I purchased are discontinued Laura managed to source a handle and posted it out within two working days.

We moved into a property with a Korniche lantern already fitted, but it hadn’t been fitted correctly so we were started to have a leak! We contacted Made For Trade and the customer service from the first phonecall and with Tom over email and a further phonecall was fantastic! Tom advised my husband correctly and sent us documents and videos to be able to fix the lantern correctly! Even sending clips we needed free of charge next day! We were about to spend a lot of money to get a company in to try to fix the problem! But Tom advised that it can be done ourselves and saved us a lot of money! The customer service was fantastic and we highly recommend them! Thank you!

Highly impressed
We have recently started using MFT as we had looked at their products and were very impressed with them. After requesting some quotations we received quick and clear responses, and received an excellent service including being able to meet with some of their team at the showroom to take a closer look at the products. Ordering was very easy, and communication was clear from MFT. Delivery was made to us on the allocated day with no problems. We also requested some samples which were sent out quickly and arrived in perfect condition. Our fitters recently installed a Korniche Lantern and found it straightforward to install and they were impressed with the product - as was the customer. We are happy to continue to use MFT and feel that if we need assistance in any way they will be happy to help.

No problems at all
We are a double glazing installer who usually use smaller "more personal" suppliers however MFT supply products we need so we gave them a go. The product is fantastic, the order process is easy and any aftersales have been dealt with VERY efficiently. Highly recommend them

Had trouble with the way our installer…
Had trouble with the way our installer fitted our bifold and glazing James McDougall was incredibly kind with his time and helped as much as he could. Proving Instalation guides and asking for pictures taking time to call back and talk through everything I’m really very impressed with the way he dealt with our situation

5* Korniche Bi-fold :)
I used MFT around September 2022 for a Korniche bi-fold door. A few technical questions quickly answered over email at quote stage. Delivered to schedule. Door packaged well, manufactured to high standard, came with easy step by step installation instructions. Very easy to fit and glides beautifully. Really pleased I choose this company and will be using them on the next project. I would happily recommened without hesitation. Thank you all MFT team.

I was using a distributor of Korniche products that shall remain nameless... after a nightmare with them trying to get a result I contacted Laura at Made for Trade, sorted everything out in a jiffy, missing parts in the post for delivery asap.

Roof lantern - great product and service
Roof lantern installed around 18 months ago - not only did I like the more uncluttered look of the Korniche lantern compared to others, it was a lot cheaper. To those that think "you get what you pay for" all I would say is that I paid for this and I got it! It's well made and was quick and easy to fit. My only issue is that I recently noticed I had squeezed one of the gaskets around the glass a little (completely my fault) so I got in touch to find out how to deglaze the lantern to straighten it. I got a video by return how to sort it, plus they just put some additional fittings in the post that I would need to get it all back together. Looking at the gasket once unglazed it was a bit out of shape. I emailed to ask if I could buy a new gasket on Sunday night, and on Monday received an email saying the gasket was in the post.
And I didn't get lots of desperate emails saying "please leave us a review" like most companies do that give pretty average service at best. I had to ask where to leave this as I'm happy to comment on both poor and excellent service. So top marks to MFT here.
Oh, and the lantern's thermal performance is excellent too - when it snowed last winter I had to wait days for the snow to clear - not enough heat loss!

We had a few issues with deliveries of our roof lantern contacted the support team (James ) he track down parcels and had them re delivered the was a mix up on the glass got that sorted. One of the best customer support team ive ever had to deal with thank you James. product was very well made well wrapped and easy to install will definitely be promoting this product.

Product issue
When an issue was identified with our bi-fold doors, the staff at MFT (Kevin and James) we both easy to get in touch with, responded quickly to all communication and helped bring about a swift resolution to our problem. Their approach was fair, measured and sensible and replacement gland units were supplied within a week. We were very grateful for their help.

ordered 2 sets of bifold doors and a lantern. All came damaged. 1 set of doors went back to be repaired and came back with the same scratches. they fob you of with spare parts but won't compensate you for paying the fitters to repair MFT faults. Awful aftersales service

We are disappointed that you feel you are being fobbed off and that we are not prepared to give you compensation. Also saddened that you feel the necessity to add a 1 star review.
We do apologies for the issues you experienced with your items, however MFT always endeavour to deliver the product you purchased subject to our terms of business.
To address the issues you have raised an explanation that supports that MFT are not fobbing you off and you have received aftercare service.
Door 1. Small mark only noticeable when sun shone on the doors (as stated by yourself). You were more than happy that MFT agreed to replace a piece of outer frame. This is very easy to unscrew and refit. However this had already been installed, you still accepted the replacement and was happy to change. You later advised this was not used and wanted compensation.
Made for Trade advise to check all items before installation as marks can happen in transportation or during installation and afterward during continue building work. Even though we do not know how the mark happened we were still happy to replace.
Door 2. Minor scratches. This door was brought back to the factory and corrected with brand new components. MFT can assure the minor marks stated on return of the product come after repair, are not the same marks and MFT advised you of this. You did not want MFT to rectify the issue, just asking for compensation and would accept the mark.
Korniche Lantern – Until the request for compensation MFT had not been made aware of any issue with the Korniche Lantern. The pictures sent were of the Screw Cap Cover being bent. This cover needs to be slid into the channel to cover the screw caps. If our product trained Customer Service team had been advised on this, MFT would have been able to offer support on this matter.
Overall MFT have supported your issues, aiming for all our customers to have a perfect product and service.
However you are happy to accept the minor scratches but want compensation for the time taken for your fitters to repair the product. There was no reason for your fitters to repair MFT faults as MFT were happy to rectify any issues.
Made for Trade are a manufacturer and only sell to Trade businesses and our terms are subject to Trade customers.
Made for Trade clearly state and advise not to arrange installation until all items are received and checked.
Made for Trade take pride in our products and customer service. Please be assured that MFT do not fob our customers off, we deal with all our customers in a professional and timely manner.
