Great + many past concerns
Great due to time responding, and corrected concern instantly... although this has been the 3rd time Visitor Stats has NOT recorded for about 1/2 total time this year.
Would give no stars if allowed
Would give no stars if allowed. Don't touch it with a barge pole. Don't recognise customer loyalty, constantly change plans to try to trick you into paying more by cancelling the service you previously had (e.g. size of mailbox).
OMG I feel I have been ripped off!
OMG! I transferred my domain and service to another web hosting service a few weeks ago. Now I have been charged $263.74 even though they are obviously providing me NO services since my domain is no longer there! I cannot find a phone number that works to contact them, and cannot find the 'live chat' on their website. I have entered a dispute with my credit card company but would appreciate being able to communicate with this atrocious company. (AND GET A CREDIT BACK!)
Poor support, dodgy email and stupid price hikes
Chat support is bad, sometimes drops out so you have to start again. They kind of go around in circles some times.
VERY poor email support with loads of spam issues (DKIM etc all wrong which was their fault) LOST ME WORK because of spam filters. Why should I have to investigate and change all of the DNS settings when they provide the email!?
Sometimes mail clients just say your password is wrong for a bit then work again.
No 2 factor authentication, absolute barebones security.
To top it all off they raised my price from about £30 to £140 a year so I'm leaving.

Ipage (the rip off merchant formerly know as FATCOW) kept taking money from my account even though I closed everything down.
I had no domains.
Did not host anything. They send stats every month and knew that I was no longer using their services.
They said they are the friend of non technical people like me and were for 15 years. Then they showed their true colors by stealing from me behind my back

Zero customer service
I was sent a renewal notice for my web package and domain hosting. The cost was very expensive, so i contacted the help desk they recommended I get the Google Workspace host package through them and renew my domain hosting. Decided to do this as I only needed the email address.
A couple of weeks later I get an email from google stating that my Email was being cancelled due to Ipage not hosting my domain anymore.
It turns out that Ipage cancelled my domain without my knowledge even though I had recieved confirmation of payment for it.
Asked Ipage to fix. Kept getting the same response back that stated they are fixing the situation which never happened and my email was suspended by Google. I kept sending Ipage emails asking questions, Not one of my questions was answered. I fixed the Google myself then got an email from Ipage stating that thier engineers have fixed the problem and the case was closed. Thier engineers had nothing to to do with the recification of the email.
I have also been waiting for the refund of the money I paid Ipage for the Google Workspace.
It has to be the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

My host was Hypermart for 18 years. ipage " took over," and they are horrific. There is no phone number. My site has been down LITERALLY 2 weeks...and I have a so called "escalated case," and I have literally not heard A WORD. Not even we're working on your case. NOTHING. It's disgusting. It's outrageous. Now I am frantically trying to move all my domains, and sites. How are they in business?
Has become an absolute nightmare…
iPower/iPage has become an absolute nightmare. Since the acquisition, fees have exploded, I’ve been double-charged for basic services, and domain renewals are 4–5× higher than anywhere else. They pile on hidden add-ons, recurring charges you never approved, and their customer service refuses to issue refunds or take responsibility for the overbilling. Everything about this company has gone downhill, and I’m actively moving every one of my services away from them as I write this. Avoid them at all costs.
The worst service ever
The worst service ever, with an incomplete control panel — you have to contact customer support for any kind of changes.
Even worse, they’ve recently started selling customers’ phone numbers and emails to dozens of web design companies.
Last week, I updated my phone number.
Since then, I’ve been getting calls every day from at least five different numbers. I block them, but they keep calling from new ones.
I strongly recommend not working with this company under any circumstances.
Frustrating Experience with iPage Support – Mishandled Verification and Poor Communication
I’m extremely disappointed with iPage’s customer service, especially with a representative named Yashwitha. My website went down unexpectedly, and instead of helping resolve the issue efficiently, Yashwitha insisted on sending a verification email to an outdated address — one that iPage themselves had set as a default and no longer supports.
When that failed, she demanded a copy of my government-issued ID to verify my identity. This was never required before. I’ve always authenticated my account using a secure code word, which should have been sufficient. I’m now being asked to submit sensitive personal documentation to a company that has never needed it and hasn’t demonstrated any secure handling of such data.
This experience has eroded my trust in iPage’s support process. Yashwitha’s rigid approach and lack of flexibility made a stressful situation worse. I expected better from a hosting provider — especially when my business website is at stake.
Bad, Very Bad
I have been using ipage for years, under the impression that i was managing my site without extra Cost - Ipage has been stealing Renewals from customers - There are 11 Ecommerce renewals that i Never Signed up for - and they all renew a month after each one - I checked my Statements and order history and there is ONLY one approved Purchase for ecommerce, back in September - i checked to see if this renewal was cancelled, i then see 11 others all renewing a month after each other in 2026!
Do not use iPage - Support is terrible
Ive been explaining this issue for hours and showing proof of the fraud that they have been committing and its continued stupidity - I have screen shots of the conversations - Next Step is Legal Action

Honestly I have been with iPage for over 10 years. Since the last renewal the service has become nonexistent, as in I cannot even access chat support after logging in. After paying full price for their service I went to cancel my term and asked for a prorated refund. The person on the chat simply state we don't do that. When I asked for clarification on terms, policies and specifically my agreement to anything, they reiterated that "they" don't do that. This is embarrassing that this is a company based in the US.
They cancelled my subscription & won't refund me for it
This company charged me for a 1 year Google Workspace subscription, cancelled it on me 4 months in, and refused to refund me the difference. Would not put my trust into any faction of this business.

The worst service and support. If you need your website down all the time go to them. If they give it to you free of charge run away.
Unbelievably awful.
Don't even consider this company. I have a complaint registered with icann. ipage lost my domain, and are saying they can not renew it. Their customer support is non existent. They run you in circles telling you to call their support line - which does not work, then their chat - which does not work, Then their email - which never answers.

iPage is the worst domain register/host company. Stay away from this scammer! They created an account for me by themselves using my first name with a random number and registered a weird domain name that misspelled my full name on purpose. I couldn't even close the account that they created for me!! It wasted too much of my time to deal with their chatting robuts!
Horrendous
Horrendous. I'm a 20 year customer of Dot5. Since iPage took it over, everything has gone downhill. Their support is terrible, their rates have gone up, hosting resources have been severely limited. Once my hosting and domains expire, I will NEVER use this company again.
Your Website is at risk on ipage
I have had a website on ipage for close to 10 years that narrated early commercial space launch history. This weekend, (9/6/25), when I checked, the site was gone. My domain and hosting service were current for the next two years. I called their customer service number, which said they were having phone difficulties, the message said to use their chat service. (Turns out to be a lie. I found out today from their chat help service they no longer have phone customer service support.) The chat help was useless. They wouldn’t accept responsibility, and said they can’t do anything. They had no explanation for what happened to the site, and weren’t willing to look at the site on the website archive site to see how it looked originally. It was a slow discussion because I think the rep was handling more than one customer at a time. It took forever to get a supervisor (and on a chat, how do you know who your talking to?). He was unhelpful. I would urge anyone thinking of keeping their account with ipage to reconsider. If anything happens, you’re going to be out of luck.
Subpar
I have had i page for years & if life wasn't so busy, I would switch, plus I try to give the benefit of the doubt, but it's useless. I will be leaping as soon as I can. From very poor customer service to problems with my contact submit button to anything else that crops up....closure never happens, the issues just continue.
