They non stop charge your credit card…
They non stop charge your credit card because there is cancellation option nor option to delete your credit card from their website. Even if you never turn on your auto-pay button, they just keep on charging without sending you any notifications. I spent days to deal with the credit card company and it's online chating bot.
Subpar, awful company - PLEASE AVOID!!!
Garbage company. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I have used them forever since college when I didn't know any better - they are expensive, inflexible, and absolutely subpar in terms of what they offer. If you want to transfer you domain, they will force you into renewing if you are simply ONE day past the renewal rate - no grace periods, no nothing. Absolute horrible company. I've spent thousands of dollars and this is the thanks I get. I will not be recommending them whatsoever (I work in tech and know A LOT of people).
Bad service. Whack Website.
Terrible service, terrible website, terrible overall experience - and way overpriced. I couldn’t even update my contact information. Every attempt gave me an “Invalid Phone Number” error.
The support team sent me through a convoluted account ownership verification process, promising I’d receive emails that never came. Days went by with no real help.
In the end, I only solved the issue myself after ChatGPT suggested entering my phone number in this bizarre format: +1.2345678900 (who types a number like that?). The support team never actually fixed the problem - I had to figure it out on my own.
Hopefully my domain transfer elsewhere is successful.
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE!!!
You guys are either hiring, or you've hired the wrong people. It shouldn't take so long when direct information is relayed. I'm tired of reading 'The Team...' I was very specific with the issue...been chatting for over an hour and nothing resolved - I HAVE NOT BEEN ENLIGHTENED NOR HAS MY ISSUE BEEN RESOLVED.

If it was possible to give this company ZERO stars I would. I was a customer of Fatcow, one of their acquisitions, for the past 30 years generally, and the past 7 years with my current business. I purchased google workspaces accounts and ran my entire business through workspaces and google emails etc.., and paid them every month for years. My company credit card was renewed, and I did not renew it in their system (my fault). They sent one email, and then DELETED every account on their system. This caused irreparable harm, loss of business, permanent loss of data, client reviews, and much more. It caused me to lose work and time to attempt to recover data loss. By chance I know someone at Google, otherwise I would still be tryong to reinstate my google business, my employees emails and much much more. There was still quite a lot that was never recovered.
I had just opened another new user account the day prior, and there was no warning on my account and it allowed me to open the user account. I lost 8 user accounts, my entire google business page (!) and much more.
On top of all that, they provided ZERO assistance to recover anything.
They know that users are fully relying on these accounts to run their businesses but had no problem deleteing all of my entire accounts.
Never use this company, under any circumstances.

Scam. watch out, zero credibility
I called them last year and asked them to cancel our service, just noticed today, they were charging us for over year, when I called them, they said that you had to do it yourself, nobody told me anything about that, when I canceled our service. I canceled our service because I wasn't happy with their customer service.
This Company are dreadful
As with all reviews recently we would advise not dealing with this company. They are a scam. We transferred our Hosting to our webpage designers. IPAGE took 3 year payment and refuse to refund even though we told them we wished to cancel. the on line chat was useless. AVOID the company. The lack of response to reviews speaks volumes.

this service is not good at all, only headaches, support team level one useless, level 2 not available, we used the offer on workspace by google, the emails are on hold and we are waiting for an email from level 2 God knows when, just ridiculous, not professional.

I had websites hosted on iPage with regular backups. One of my sites got hacked, so I decided to delete it and restore the backup. However, they introduced a new policy—without notifying me—that backups are now paid. They asked for $100 just to restore the site with one click, and I had no choice but to accept. Indian scammers—beware of them!
Horrible company
Horrible company. They auto renewed my account for 3 years, nearly 2 years after I had transferred to another web hosting company. I did not receive an email in advance notifying me of the upcoming renewal, though they claimed they sent it. They refused to refund any of the over $800 charges.
After years of using ipage
After years of using ipage, i am totally disappointed with their features, support and performance having faced all kinds of issues from bad email reputation to hosting issues, performance and finally took the hard decision and left with no return to bluehost with immediate cure to all the problems I have been facing.
IPAGE is sad and ridiculous
My SSL must have expired but I couldn't even get into the IPAGE login to find any information. No longer do they do phone calls so CHAT did not help. I guess I lost my 15 year old website just like that. GoDaddy did everything they could to try to assist but IPAGE was useless. Good-bye to Passionineducation.com. How sad and ridiculous!

Our SSL certificate expired, and did not auto renew. 5 days later, still no fix.
They don't have a phone number, all tech support is done via chat, and the folks on the other end are no help at all. This is the canned answer they all seem to provide. "We really apologize for inconvenience caused, the team has tried to reactivate the SSL from the backend and it failed due to that the case being escalated to the Engineering team."

Suspended my account for asking for a domain transfer
Like so many others I had Fatcow and loved it. Great service and support. Now with iPage my prices have doubled and when I asked the chat rep about transferring services to another domain host they suspended my account! I tried contacting support again but they locked me out for the rest of the day. I post this review as a warning for other users. Be careful they will do everything they can to not let you leave.
15 Day Trap
No refunds at all, despite cancelling before the expiration date. They have a 15 day pre-cancellation renewal charge... Despite the domain transfer and renewal cancellation 7 days before cancellation, they would not refund me the 1-year domain renewal. Charged for thin air.
Glad to be rid of them.

Slow, expensive, poor customer service
3 years ago I was taken in by their low prices and supposedly easy service. But my website performance has been painfully slow, and they charge you for any extras like keeping a backup of your site. After 3 years my renewal quote was $822 - $22.83 a month for a terrible service. No thanks.

Misleading Advertising – $200 Vouchers Promised, Then Denied
Review Body:
I recently upgraded my FatCow hosting plan to their Business Plan on July 13, 2025, paying $100. At the time of purchase, their website clearly advertised $200 in advertising vouchers as part of the upgrade benefits.
I made the decision to upgrade based on that offer — and I even took a screenshot as proof.
After the upgrade, I contacted support when I didn’t receive the vouchers. I was told that the offer “no longer exists.” No apology, no alternative, and no accountability — despite clear evidence that the offer was active at the point of sale.
This is a textbook example of bait-and-switch tactics. It's misleading and undermines trust.
I have opened a support case and responded via email, but if this is not resolved fairly, I will pursue a chargeback and report to consumer protection agencies.
Until then, I cannot recommend FatCow to anyone.

Worst Hosting on the Planet? Most Likely!
I originally purchased hosting through Fatcow, but was recently sold over to iPage, and have had nothing but problems (even with Fatcow, same problems). Any time I install a new instance of Wordpress, upload a them, Fatal Error... change a plugin: Fatal Error. My SSL certificates aren't valid... the control panel is terrible... the email addresses I create never receive emails... the technology is so far behind, nothing works. Wordpress recommends Php 8+, but they're stuck on 7.3, and won't upgrade, or give an option to yourself. I even recently transferred a domain to iPage (I already paid for the hosting, so figured why not) and it took so much back and forth trying to get the DNS updated to reflect it in their records. Do NOT use!!
