I’m unsure as to why there’s so many bad reviews on here, IMVU is a GREAT “GAME” they do not scam you they aren’t malicious and it’s entirely safe to use. The community is great aslong as you find the right people! I admit, it is a little full of drama in recent times and the player count seems to be dwindling but hopefully it’ll come back to life as it was when it had 100k+!
I’ve been on this site for a while, i’ve never had a bad enough experience to hinder me from playing it! Support has been amazing even WITHOUT vip! I guess it just depends who you have supporting you!

However Id recommend even the base imvu (without AP) for 17+. So if your kid under 17 has come to you asking about this site i advise you not to let them on or if you choose to watch what they’re doing! It isn’t suitable for anyone under that age regardless of what anyone else says due to the nature of the people on there. Not everyone is SFW!

Conclusion:
It’s a great place to be.. IF you find the right people! I hope if any people wondering if they should play or not sees this they give it a chance!

IMVU is a scammer and abusive site company not even worth to be mantioned anymore, they are THIVES,abusers,they wil stalk you asking your real infos,charging you for a worthless VIP and AP,stheling whatever you own,pretending to be good ppl, and recharging again when you are disabled or no longer online,STAY AWAY FROM IMVU=CRIMINAL COMPANY:

I think that they should make it to where I cloud users can sign in on pc. And they should make it to where the characters can work jobs to earn credits and drive cars and stuff like that to keep us entertained

i took time out of my day to do multiple surveys to earn my credits, but when i tried to buy what i wanted it took my money and didn’t give me what i purchased so i demand a refund or my item that i tried to buy. it was full body black demon smoke.

I have been on IMVU since 2008/2009, I had VIP and everything else. I stopped paying for VIP around 2011 but I still got to keep my 2 public rooms. Throughout the years I noticed my closet had shrunk.

Either the creator no longer came online so the clothes were gone due inactivity[I guess..], or the creator fixed up the clothes and instead of it remaining in my closet it was taken out completely and I would have to rebuy it for some reason.

Recently I noticed all of my public rooms had been deleted, so I went to go and try and make a new one and there was a paywall. they wanted me to rebuy VIP in order to keep something that I had for years. I contacted customer support and they said that it should still work, but it didn't. Instead of helping me they sent me a link and told me to pay for vip. Biggest scam site I've ever used.

They could of said "We are sorry for the inconvenience, here's a month of vip" or given me credits. But no. They just sent me a paywall link

They banned my friend again for the second time around the same period without warning nor reason! his account got banned for the first time around 20/07/2020 and now around 14/08/2021. no email or reason was given! they don't even let me help him getting his account back. they want him to create a second(!) useless account to send a ticket to revive his main account. that's bull**. And don't get me started about their service for Mac users, they don't even listen nor read or requests. we are forced to keep or systems on an old OS or use next.

So my account got put on hold due to a fraudulent charge that was due to someone living in the house with me. I paid the $9.99 they told me I had to settle then they told me to get my account off hold I had to pay $50. I have screenshots for proof of this scam but I can't post them to this website. I was a creator for 12 years making them money!!!!!! HOURS of my time

i bought some credits from imvu and never got any and then they put me on hold for no reason and some of their workers harassed me and banned my accounts after i showed them proof and when i looked at their reason of being banned its because of reports of payment fraud which is false these people are trash including most of the users they bully and harass others just to make themselves happy

Don't go to this game, it is a ripoff not to mention they can ban accounts without warning and don't know the difference with GA and AP, Also they have no clue about their own ToS when questioned about it you get different responses. The staff on there do not have a clue about the game itself and will avoid any relative questions about your own account. If you are banned you are forced to email them (Which takes weeks to months) or you can buy VIP on a new account. "They do not need a valid reason to ban" Bans come without warning and if you are a creator on there you are at risk of people reporting products (Which is understandable if its not the correct rating or breaks the ToS) but in my case neither was done and was banned because some user had reported all products due to an argument. Do not waste your time on this game and head over to Second Life, Granted it is a bit more expensive to play but you are treated better and the support team know the game and the ToS and dont ban without a reason.

It doesn't make any sense for anyone to buy a Subscription based on accessing adult content when it's a 3D virtual porno game. And that's not the only thing I'm confused and frustrated about. They just said "Porn is definitely NOT allowed at IMVU". So if porn is not allow then why did you created a adult subscription pass in first place? Like, what's the point of that? It's like they treating us like kids and making creators patch the product to get naked. It's just stupid and ridiculous to buy ap when you are older than 18. I really want to make a video about IMVU and ranting about how stupid the rules are because people don't listen to serious beliefs about the game they are playing. The game is buggy and full of toxic people including the support staffs are toxic. They violate and insult their customers. And they ban your account for no reason. Telling them that your account was banned will not help at all. They just going to make excuses about your account was being hacked when they hacked you or lied to you saying that you were violating the guidelines. There is nothing good about IMVU in general the rooms have less people and new people are uninstalling imvu for other reasons. Probably because the game is not that good. I hope someone shows my review to everyone or find it
helpful. Because imvu should realize that people are leaving.

keep disable my account, try'd to get my old account back, but that account got disable then i try'd again with my third email to get help. but no there public help sucks, with no help and only think of money. if you ask for help to get you account open you need a fricking account to do that. how can you call that fair and easy to get you account back.
i have try'd to go trough email, but that way is impossible, i need to make a account again.
how hard can it be to make a email they can contact you on, or a side where you can access with another account to get help that isnt connected to the account so you dont need to make a new one again.

IMVU is a scam.

They will steal your money and ban your account if you contact Customer Support.

IMVU staff make their own Avatars to stalk and harass people.

If you complain, your account will be banned.

IMVU has stolen hundreds of thousands of £/$ over the years from new members, who then get banned so they cannot claim their money back.

IMVU closed any real ability to give them feedback when they closed the IMVU forums, years ago, since then IMVU has been nothing but a moneymaking scam for the company and its staff of thieves, liars, crooks and sexual predators.

Do not go anywhere near IMVU, ever.

There was a petition for IMVU creators getting banned across the platform back in February. I happened to be one of those creators who got banned due to unethical behavior of staff and unfair business practices. IMVU censors their AP creators and not only do they violate consumer rights but also they extort their customers. Read their refund policy carefully before investing. Many complaints have been filed against IMVU in the past and this company allows room for exploitation.

Imvu is a scam! I purchased $10,000 credits on sale and it made the purchase two times, I was charged two times on my card.. I let it slide, when I went to purchase vip they made the purchase two times again! I contacted the agent about it and claimed I was going to get a refund and I NEVER did. They always claim you’re getting a refund but never gets a refund. Little kids play imvu 12 year olds abs are being groomed, there are racists, pedophiles playing the game. If you are going to play, stay a guest and don’t spend nothing on that game. Customer service is trash and imvu is just making money off of people. I’ve been playing imvu for 6 years now, and now it’s trash. I’m switching to another game because imvu is dying out. And it should.

Be carful if you get their AP package, which you would THINK is ment for adults who use the site, but they have been taken away everything that makes AP what it is. All because they can not get off their a**es and do proper security checks on those who purchased AP, which leads to under aged users getting it illegally and ruining it for genuine users.

WHICH IS A TOTAL LIE!, "oh this item acts like what it would in real. let's ban the creator and remove the item so no one else can use it" NO BLOOMING WANDER THE BLACK MARKET IS AROUND.

But alot of stuff has been taken off in the past years, and now AP sucks now. They should give people a chance to get their money back for it, or heck, get rid of it all together and make it a place for under 18s only, and not have an option to spend real money.

If you want a genuine adult 3D avitar expeciance, either go to Second Life, Red Light Centeral or VRChat. Let this scam of a site fall.

I have been on the site for over 10 years

This is my 3 year on imvu. The app glitches way to much, customer service is horrible, surveys don’t work and they don’t listen to what the customer wants. It’s a shame. I would only recommend if they don’t have a pc. I would suggest to them to sponsor a celeb like sweetie cause there is not many people active anymore. Most people have moved on to another virtual game.

IMVU will randomly delete your account if you're inactive! I suggest you do not waste your precious time and money like I did. All the hard work and money spent -GONE!

I just recently downloaded IMVU, and i tried to get coins through a survey. I had a bad feeling about it, so I searched it up. IT IS A PHISHING SCAM. I checked my gmail that was linked to my IMVU, and an unknown device had logged in. DONT. DO. THE. SURVEYS.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I purchased an IMVU offer through the website (PC). The offer was for Tunnel Bear, a one-year subscription (40 dollars) for 55,000 credits.
I spoke to various agents on the live chat. At first, the offer did not appear on the offer status page, so I contacted them, then it appeared (thankfully), but with the status of the offer as "clicked." Meaning, it wasn't completed. I reported it, considering I did complete it, but it disappeared the next day. So I contacted help again, they brought the offer back and once I submitted my report again, they denied it.
The last agent I spoke to, Aubrey has been the least helpful as they repeatedly told me to complete the steps again, even though I could NOT because they denied it. Additionally, they implied that I did not actually complete the offer despite the fact that I have proof. They lied and said they can't accept screenshots. I have sent screenshots to previous agents once they allow me to send files. Also, that makes no sense because how else are people supposed to provide evidence of their purchases??? Make it make sense.
Eventually, they told me, "we are already running in circles, I will be forced to end this chat if you don't have any concern aside from this?" Apparently, sending a screenshot of the email confirmation and on the app is not considered "completed." I don't know why this isn't sufficient considering that the screenshot was of the confirmation.

They do not care about their customers. Be careful when purchasing anything on IMVU.
