During a recent stay at the Premier Inn in Wilmslow, we had the pleasure of dining at
Hickory’s Restaurant for our evening meals. While we had high expectations due to
previous visits, the experience this time surpassed them, particularly in terms of
service.
Over two evenings, we enjoyed excellent food, just as we had anticipated. However,
what truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Emily and
Georgina, our servers on both nights, were not only friendly and attentive but also
made us feel genuinely welcome. Their friendliness and enthusiasm added
significantly to our dining experience. Emily's personal dish recommendations were
spot-on, leading to very enjoyable dining experiences for me on both occasions.
I was especially impressed by the attention given to one of my colleagues, who has
very restrictive dietary requirements. On both evenings, the managers, Dan and
Sophie, personally visited our table. They patiently reviewed the menu with my
colleague using their iPads, carefully explaining the ingredients and ensuring that his
meals were suitable. Their kindness and understanding made a significant
difference, and my colleague was very satisfied with his meals each night.
Overall, our experience at Hickory’s Wilmslow was exceptional. The combination of
excellent food and exceptional service makes this a place we will definitely return to.

Went to Hutton Hickory's in Jan. It was very cold and very dark and dull inside. The food portions where small and they cheaply added a tip amount which people DONT have to pay. Its not a legal thing to tip its suppose to be up to you. GO elsewhere.

Employee Daniel Jones was nothing but perfect for a waiter, from manners to just pure serving he was perfect and i will in fact be returning to this beautiful place.

Really poor experience we had been looking forward to this for a while , service is dreadful or at best functional. real shame , dirty chairs and tables , tables left with plates not cleared and booking a table time is a waste of time they will seat you when ever they want to at Hutton

Very disappointed,I would say its half a step up from a fast food chain. Very small portions and over priced.

In addition to this, we received a bottle of water on being seated, but no glasses.

Meal was ruined trying to get a waiters attention as half the meal was missing. By the time this was achieved, we'd eaten the other half of the meal.

Will not be visiting again!

We attended the Castle Bromwich Hickory’s 26th January 25 as a party of 13 our experience was excellent staff were very attentive food was hot and tasted amazing highly recommend it here …Thank you for the positive experience

Visited the Hickory's at Horbury, and I have to say our experience was brilliant!
We visited the restaurant on my daughter's birthday. We didn't book anything in particular, and they weren't aware of this when making the booking. On our arrival, on ordering a drink, I mentioned the birthday to one of the staff. They decided to get my daughter to come behind the bar to pour her own cocktail. The staff were brilliant. The food was excellent. Will definitely be returning.

Went to the Hickory’s smokehouse restaurant in Wakefield for our Grandson’s 6th Birthday and can’t believe how amazing the whole experience was. There were 6 adults and 4 kids under 8 in our party. As soon as we walked in the staff fussed over my Grandson and even took him behind the bar to make his own milkshake, Marcus the man behind the bar was so good with my Grandson and all at no extra cost too. The kids all got popcorn for the free, in-house cinema until food came and when the food did come it was just amazing. It was hot, fresh, huge portions and great value for money, the staff just couldn’t do enough for the kids, all of them, it truly was a brilliant evening. 12/10 for the whole experience, already want to go again. Sam and Dylan also deserve a mention as they were so spot on with the orders and great with the kids, great set of staff with excellent customer service. One of the best experiences for Families in Wakefield.

Food, 10/10 but pricey. If you want a 1/2 decent wine,at a reasonable price, don’t go there!

We celebrated an anniversary there on 16 Jan 25

Spent a week and a half in the UK with my friends and got a little homesick halfway though. This place is a great taste of home. Litterally. 5/5 stars. Great food, great service, great times. Love from Arkansas. <3

We went to their place in St John’s Worcester, there was a constant icy breeze coming from the toilets area, I was froze no joke.

I did contact the place with a response from the manager saying a round of Drink on him, he has promised to deal with the cold but late seeing it spoiled my evening.

So be careful where you are Seated.

We’ve visited Hickory’s in Adel this evening with family to celebrate an 11th birthday and just wanted to say a huge thank you to the entire team who served us. The food as always was incredible and great value. The attention to detail, and to the birthday girl, was second to none and made for a really enjoyable and memorable celebration! Special thanks for going out of your way to get grandads English mustard, you made his day too!
Will be back very soon for some more campfire marshmallows!

We had the most amazing experience at the Hickorys in Chester. The general manager made us feel like royalty! He gave us smoked meat samples at the start of our experience, as he found out it was our first experience at HIckorys having recently relocated here from the US. He checked on us throughout our meal, and gave us some picked vegis to sample and take home with us.

Went to the Horbury venue for a birthday and was excellent. The variety of dishes was not huge, but there was something for everyone. The service was great and the food arrived quickly and the staff were very friendly. Would recommend for a group birthday, celebration etc.

I had the baby back ribs at the Hickorys in Solihull on Saturday night, it's Monday and there is still some lingering on, they were neither tender or even soft, chewy and hard work, not what you expect from an expensive place to eat, the Hickorys in West Kirby is much, much better!!

Hickory’s Lincoln

Well we've been here over the last 8 years or so. Wether it be West Kirby or Chester we've always had a good experience. Today was super special. Ethan and Katie in Chester thank you so much for how you treated us. Katie you were funny, humble and made us laugh. Ethan, bless you, my MIL loved getting behind the bar with you and making the cocktail was so much fun. You spent so much time with us and you remembered us from our last trip in may. Thank you both, you're an absolute credit to your company. Our afternoon was so much better because of you both. If you want to open up in Kent, send these 2 down to sort it out and pay them more!!!

Really good staff, really good food, respectful kind helped me with anything i needed, could't ask for more!

The floor was so slippery that I fell as being shown to my table. The manager (presumed so as he was at the desk) did come over to help me up and with a quick, "are you ok", he disappeared. The young waiter was more concerned. Another of my party asked to see the manager at the end of our meal, and a different guy came over. On being told that the food was good, as was the service, one person in our party had fallen and several others found the floor very slippery. His reaction? "Will take it on board and show you out." I wrote to Hickory's about the reaction from the managers, but have not had a reply. Maybe I should have sued Hickory's for my injury (bruised and tender hip) and maybe then they would have acknowledged me! Got the feeling that nobody was really bothered.

Update .. got a call from General Manager of Gloucester Hickory's in the afternoon of the day I wrote this review on Trustpilot. Had to give lots of details to enable him to create an incident report, which hadn't been done when the incident happened. He did seem genuinely concerned and promised to investigate with staff on duty on the night of the incident and get back to me. That was a week ago, and heard nothing from him.

The general manager never got back to me as he said he would. Deduce that he called for personal details to complete an incident report which had not been done at the time. Perhaps I should have sued and Hickory's Gloucester might have cared then!

I’m here at hickory’s derby with my family, we have waited over an hour to be taken to a table we had booked , then we waited another 44 minutes for the food ,the service has been terrible , no one came to see if we wanted drinks etc when the food finally came it was very disappointing , so we won’t be staying for desserts and we won’t be coming again
