I am a returning customer of Loungers and have always enjoyed it in the past, which is why yesterday's visit was so frustrating.
We ordered our usual cheese toasties, but the execution this time was poor. The toasties contained a minute amount of cheese, leaving us with what was basically plain toast, served alongside a very small portion of chips. For a total bill of £32 for two people, the value for money simply wasn't there.
I chose not to complain during our meal because I didn't want to ruin the atmosphere of our occasion, but it has bothered me since. I am leaving this feedback constructively in the hope that Loungers can review their quality control and portion sizes. I want to keep supporting the restaurant, but the current standard needs to match the price point.

We walked in Petersfield venue, no-one greeted us or came over at any point until they came with drinks order, the table behind had empty glasses and cups, as did several tables around lounge-there was less than half dozen people eating, there were no glasses for the water carafe, and when the food came out the chips were cold and the chicken strips were overcooked.

I regularly visit Portsmouth (Palmerston Road) and we are always greeted, asked about allergies and taken to table no matter how busy.

Decided to try Picaro lounge as it not long opened in cribbs. There was a wait but no problem, and we got seated after about 10-15 mins so not too bad. The lady barely said anything. She said have you been here before, I said no, she said order at the bar or use qr code and walked away. That was the whole conversation. It was very loud. The one lady that bought our knives and forks was the only person I saw smile. The staff were very serious and rushed. Which is weird as they dont even take the orders or drinks and there seemed quite a few of them. We ordered on the app. The drinks came really quickly. Paid for a large lemonade but was in a rather small glass with huge ice cubes, no idea how there was one smaller than that. The food was a little wait and it came out seperately, the waiter accidently dropped the flatbread onto the table and said he was going to get a new one but never did and everyone rushed past so fast there was no one to chase about it so the was £2.95 jusy wasted. The food wasnt great. Had tapas but it was on a huge board and wasnt given a seperate plate to eat from so it was very awkward. The chicken was the driest I think I have ever had. It just wasnt great, neither the services or the food. For almost £40 it was very disappointing.

Myself and a group of friends had lunch in the Sittingbourne branch on 17th August. Whilst placing our order the member of staff walked off saying one of us was wearing something that had triggered his allergies. This was done in a rude manner and left us feeling uncomfortable. He would not clear our table, we had to do it ourselves to make room for our dessert. When bringing out the dessert he stopped mumbled comments about the perfume to make us feel even more uncomfortable. I have sent an email of complaint and filled out an online form but have had no response.

Me and a group recently went to Grupo Lounge in Bristol, we were instantly greeted and seated.
The polite and caring staff were very helpful, our waitress was very easy to communicate with and was very helpful when it came to ordering.
Our food came out shortly after ordering and looked fantastic, very tasty and can tell they have chefs not just cooks in there.
The vibe was nice and peaceful and great location.
Would definitely go again even just for coffee.

Awful place. They advise employees to park in the car park managed by the parking company. The car sign in system doesn't always work and employees end up with parking fines. The management promises to sort it out but employees have bailiffs knocking on their door and massive fines. Complete lack of care of people they employ, horrible place to work.

10/10 lovely support and great experience

I worked a shift at Croeso Lounge in Mumbles on a Saturday, from 1:00 PM to 10:20 PM. The restaurant was extremely busy and the environment was incredibly intense. For over 9 hours of exhausting, fast-paced work, I was only given a single 20-minute break, which did not give me enough time to rest To make matters worse, the financial onboarding was completely disorganized. The initial bank transfer I received at the end of the month was only £82.32, which is way below the legal minimum wage rate for 2026. No payslip was provided to explain this. When I questioned them about it, I was told that the rest of my money would be paid on the 14th of August.I am very dissatisfied that such a wealthy company splits such a small amount of money into two installments, especially since I have bills to pay now.

I hadn't been to the Loungers in Monmouth in over a year, so when I dined there last Saturday night I was shocked at the tiny portions, reduction in quality and the high prices. We were celebrating a dear friend's birthday and everyone left hungry. I normally order the flatbread, because you used to get a beautiful salad with flatbread on the side. This time I got two falafels in a thick flat bread and a spoonful of onion stuff and ZERO salad. Basically it was a crap falafel sandwich. Truly awful for the price. It was virtually empty; surely they can't survive for much longer - customers vote with their feet - empty restaurants are the best feedback you can get. Saying that, the staff were lovely but the awful music was too loud. Such a shame, it was such a great place, back in the day!

Molo Southend High Street.
Great atmosphere and staff are over and above- polite friendly and all so very well spoken.
Today however I was a little dissappointed. Heat wave I know but the temperature inside is getting intolerable. At least 5 couples came in and walked out again because of the heat. Come on Molo get some AC installed- you know it makes sense!

Great service, very consistent, welcoming atmosphere. Always reliable whatever location you visit.

I have visited this Lounge regularly over recent months and thoroughly enjoy the experience and atmosphere….
The staff are amazing and so friendly.
They always make me feel so welcome !

The other Guests really seem to love their visit and I often see people returning because of this.

The refreshments and cuisine are superb and the kitchen staff provide excellent and efficient service.

There are always loads of great events going on and the Lounge caters for all ages !

Food ( Breakfast) was very good but the tomato sauce came out in a plastic red tomato container ...this gave me 'greasy spoon cafe' vibes
The music was a tad loud but loved the decor and ambience
Will definitely be back!

The new Amparo lounge opened in Whiteley today all the staff very friendly and attentive its a lovely decorated lounge with a great vibe. I'm a regular at other lounges but this will become my new local

Had a great experience in Prospero Lounge, Stratford-upon-Avon. The restaurant was clean and the staff were welcoming and hospitable. Matt, the chef, was incredibly helpful and happy to make small adaptations to the meal chosen, and the food looked fabulous. Olivia, the waitress, was polite, attentive and keen to make our experience comfortable - she quickly mopped up a spilled drink and made us feel very well looked-after. All in all, a really lovely breakfast. We frequent this restaurant regularly and always have. Very positive experience. Thank you Matt and Olivia in particular! Great staff! 👍🏻

Awful coffee, really is. Can't get a machiatto either very lacking in choice. Food is filfthy fried and even the healthy options are unhealthy fried and calorific. Such such such a disapointment.

I used to absolutely love going to the lounge when we lived in Hove, now we live on the Isle of Of Wight and I was very pleased to find out when one opened in Newport.

I’ve been to many lounges over the years, however I’ve noticed there has been a real deterioration in the restaurant chain and this is over several factors.

Recently I went with my daughter to the one in Newport on the Isle of Wight. I love the decor, that is really what sells it to me, the experience of sitting on the sofa and it being very eclectic. However the wow factor literally ends there… the menus were so disgustingly filthy I couldn’t touch them so I had to order off my phone. The cokes arrived and they were okay, a bit flat and for the price I felt that was a waste of money and I should’ve just asked for water. We ordered tuna toasties that took ages to arrive and when they did it was just two bits of toasted bread with a bit of filling & not much filling. So for £8 each I felt they were incredibly overpriced. I could’ve made a better sandwich at home. However, we were starving so it was fine. Nothing wrong with it per se. As we had to wait so long for our lunch it gave me lots of time to look around the restaurant and honestly it is completely filthy. There is dust everywhere & cobwebs, everything is sticky. I don’t know what management you have working in there but they could really do with speaking to their staff and giving the place a good deep clean.

If this is how your restaurants are being run across your whole chain, it is a huge shame. People work really hard for their money and when they go out, they want it to be exceptional, especially as prices are so steep. I don’t think I’ll bother going back again. I’d much rather go to Comi coffee down the road which is 1 million times better.

Been in a few different ones and I think the quality and quantity of food is terrible for the price. Drinks are ok and the lounges themselves are fine. Some can be dirty. Don't like the lack of uniform. Mixed staff reviews, either really helpful or rude. It's such a shame as they are nice places but their food is not nice. Wake up owners what's wrong with you, your ratings show you're not hitting the spot??
