Pessima esperienza!!!
Ho noleggiato un furgone presso Ikea porta di Roma con Hertz 24/7 e devo dire che è stata una esperienza allucinante con una pessima qualità del servizio. Il furgone era molto sporco ed in pessimo stato di manutenzione ( i comandi per alzare /abbassare i vetri erano stati divelti).
Ho impiegato più di mezz'ora per localizzare il furgone in quanto lasciato dal precedente noleggiatore in un posto sperduto all'interno del centro commerciale.
Tale imprevisto mi ha causato un ritardo nella restituzione che ha causato un ritardo di 40 minuti e comportato un addebito di euro 36.88 (???), che mi sembra davvero sproporzionato rispetto a quanto pattuito per le 3 ore di noleggio da contratto ( euro 35.23). Una vera truffa legalizzata!! Sono dei disonesti. Ti attraggono con tariffe pseudo~convenienti e poi ti bastonano. Peraltro se, come capitato a me, hai dei problemi con il furgone e provi a chiamare....puoi anche morire!

If I could give Hertz zero stars I would. I rented a van from them on 24/7 and within the van there should have been a fuel card, as fuel is included in the cost and charged on hire.
The fuel card was not available in the van and there was no fuel in the talk, so I reached out to the team to discuss this and they told me to refuel, pay for it and I would be refunded.
I have sent my receipt by email to Hertz and so far, they have refused to refund me. They billed me for mileage and fuel with the rental AND I paid for the fuel.
I am going round in circles with this and getting nowehere fast as the customer service team keep sending me auto replies and it looks like I will have apid for rental and paid for fuel twice.

I would give a zero if I could. Hours before my booking I get a txt and email saying thanks for cancelling your booking. Hertz cancelled my booking without warning. Awful company. No apology, no customer service. A crappy live chat that was useless and have to wait 5 days for my money back. What a disgrace!!!!

This new app is just a waist of time constant glitches and delays in starting the vans.
My biggest problem is the customer service.
We used to be able to talk to human beings .
Now it wasn't perfect but they had a good bunch of helpful people on the phones that generally got problems fixed.
It made it possible to overlook the issues because they were so helpful.
Now its a chat.
I was stuck in a petrol station without means of payment (the fuel card available was blocked).
It was embarrassing and very stressful.
Every communication on this chat took 10 minutes for every reply, which is totally unacceptable in that situation.
I was held up 40 mins which had a knock on effect for the rest of the day and ended up costing me more money.
Hertz chat just kept very rudely saying you will have to pay.
We will refund later.
I didn't have payment.
My family had to lend me the money for rental.
Embarrassment on top of Embarrassment.
When I explained this to the last person their response was "we have seen your paper work is not correct you will no longer be able to use this service " WTF!.
There is nothing wrong with my licence or passport.
Its a completely shit service that will ultimately leave you annoyed.

Utter dogshit. Van wasnt on site, got charged anyway, wasted trip for my father in law who drove 90 mins to help with a move. Zero proactive engagement. Live chat wasnt manned, number in their faq stated as being in the app wasnt. Finally got through chat days later for a refund, apparently van was double booked. Zero attempt at customer service to conpensate me for wasting my time or my father in laws, and generally impenetrable means of getting to talk to anyone. Avoid avoid avoid.

For a service that is marketed as being 'easy' & 'convenient' my experience was anything but! I booked through the app and jumped through all the ridiculous hoops of document verification and was told my ID and selfie were verified and accepted. Only to be told upon starting the rental they did not accept my international driver's license. How can something be verified and accepted and my money taken for booking when it is not something Hertz 24/7 accepts?!?! I was left entirely stuck on moving day with no way to transport my things and all I got from Hertz customer service was "sorry about that, your refund will take up to 5 business days". Do not be fooled by Hertz's claims of being "so easy and fast that you can be in your vehicle within 15 minutes" because it's an absolute lie.

Wer drauf steht intolerant abgezockt zu werden, sollte hier mieten. So zumindest mein subjektives Empfinden. 33,57€ für 20 min verspätetes abgeben, wegen tanken etc. Tagsüber bei vielen Buchungen, würde ich es verstehen, aber nachts um 0 Uhr bucht keiner einen Transporter. Da kann man doch mal ein Auge zudrücken. Einfach als Service. 0 Kulanz.

I booked a van from Hertz the day before I needed to start moving furniture out my flat as I had been let down by Enterprise who had taken the booking but then rang me later in the day to say the depot I was collecting the van from had no vehicles and there had been a ‘glitch’ in the system allowing it to book!!
Therefore I decided to try Hertz. The whole cost of the hire was debited from my bank account on the day of the booking by Hertz. The next day I received a message from sheet at 8.10am saying ‘Thank you for cancelling your booking’. I was horrified as I was supposed to be picking the van up at 11an to start moving furniture out. I tried to speak to a ‘real’ person at ‘Hertz 25/7’ but only managed some ‘live chat’ with a guy called Stefan. After relaying all the story, he investigated and said the van was no longer available as there was something wrong with it. I asked him to try find me somewhere else in Newcastle to hire the van, he checked and said nothing was available. He apologized for the inconvenience and said he’d send me details of a £20 credit off my next booking. I said ‘no thank you’ as I would never use Hertz again after how badly they had let me down!!
I eventually hired a local van which actually charged me a third of what Hertz were going to charge me. They said this sort of thing happened a lot with Enterprise too (which I knew, as they had done the same!) as both companies ‘overbook’ to ensure all vans are utilized!! How horrendous a situation is this I thought!! Accepting bookings then cancelling later. I will never use either company again!!

Van would not unlock with Bluetooth facility, tried for 40mins no joy, no number to ring, had to use chat facility, they tried to unlock but said did not work so only option was to cancel booking and refund, that was ok but did not help that we needed a van and was left stranded with no option to collect stuff we had arranged, very disappointing experience
Day 6 and still waiting for refund
Booking using the app was ok , but there is no instant booking. Even though the van is there in front of you, you cannot book for half an hour. Stopping the vehicle and restarting it again is a pain in the ass- you have to wait for the app to connect to the van and then it will enable it to start again which is very glitchy. Took 3-5 mins every time. But my biggest gripe is payment. You pay £17 ph and the system takes double as a deposit. But it takes way too long to get your money back. I’m onto day 6 and still waiting for my refund. Co wheels is instant payment per hour and no double up of payment so much easier and they use a card to start the car which is way easier than using an app. Wouldn’t use these again.

Am 22.05.25 Bus über die App gemietet. 29,90€ am selben Tag per Paypal abgebucht worden. Nach einer Stunde Miete Auto abgestellt und über die App geschlossen. Rückgabe laut Hertz247 am 23.05.25
um 10.15 Uhr. Per Paypal 348,40 € abgebucht bekommen! Ein Stern noch zu viel für dieses Unternehmen! Nach Email Kontakt und Fall Eröffnung bei Paypal, wurde mir immernoch zu wenig Geld zurück gezahlt. Nochmal das gleiche Theater wie am Anfang beschrieben.
Die Entschuldigung vom Unternehmen, es war ein Systemfehler.

I attempted to rent a vehicle through Hertz at the Farnborough Costco location to transport my 75-inch TV. I was physically at the Costco parking lot, waiting near the Hertz rental vehicles, but the online system did not approve my booking. It was a waste of 2 hours trying to book through Hertz rental.
I contacted customer service through chat, but the representative told me they could not assist because the issue was "system generated." Even with the help of a Costco manager who tried to book the rental on my behalf, the process still failed. To make matters worse, there was no phone number available for immediate support, leaving me with no way to get the vehicle I urgently needed.
This experience was extremely disappointing. I was left without a solution despite being on-site, ready, and willing to complete the rental. The lack of live support, system flexibility, and escalation options resulted in a terrible customer experience — especially given I was trying to transport a large and expensive item.

Gleiches Spiel wie scheinbar auch bei anderen Kunden. Wir haben das Fahrzeug vollgetankt zurückgebracht und nach einer Woche kommt eine Mail mit der Rechnung und es werden zusätzlich über 100€ für 49 Liter Diesel aufgeführt.
Support wollte den Tankbeleg sehen, Beleg aus dem Online Banking reichte nicht (man könnte ja auch Zigaretten gekauft haben), Beleg bei der Tankstelle nacherstellen lassen und eingereicht. Seitdem hat sich der sonst so schnelle Support nicht mehr gemeldet. Wie man bei einer Fahrstrecke von 72 km 49 Liter bzw. 102€ fürs Tanken berechnen kann ist mir sowieso schleierhaft. Wenn die anderen Bewertungen stimmen, bin ich aber nicht der einzige Kunde, der mittels Tanknachzahlung (obwohl nachweislich vollgetankt!) abgezockt werden soll.
(28.05. Nach viel hin und her schrieb Hertz per Mail, dass die strittigen 122€ erstattet werden sollen. Innerhalb von maximal 72 Stunden. Am 03.06. kam dann abends per Paypal die Nachricht, dass 74€ zurückgezahlt wurden. Warum? Trotz Zusage per Mail vom Support über 122€. Also erneut den Support kontaktieren und Zeit investieren für ein Problem, dass einzig und allein Hertz zu verantworten hat)

Ich kann die ganzen 1 Stern Bewertungen nicht verstehen. Bisher imm bei Ikea gemieten, dies wird aber in Erfurt nicht mehr angeboten, was aber kein Problem ist da man sie überall findet.
Habe keine Probleme gehabt, nur die App sollte mal überarbeitet werden, da die Zahlung per Paypal etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig ist.
Ich wollte die Miete verlängern und dies ging trotz Verfügbarkeit irgendwie nicht.
Chatbot einfach Mitarbeiter reingeschrieben, da bekam ich die Telefonnummer. Nach 3 Min war ein netter Herr dran und verlängerte mit Klicks die Miete. Alles super, kann mich nicjt beschweren, bis auf die App.

I tried to book a van to move belongings from a rented property to my new house. I previously had a booking with Enterprise which was cheaper but the convenience of Hertz24/7 made me change my mind so I paid £30 extra. I booked online and everything seemed ok. I then cancelled my Enterprise booking. After this I got an email from Hertz asking to validate my profile, which I thought would be simple. I downloaded the app and starting verification by uploading a picture of my license. Almost instantly this was rejected so tried again and the same thing happened. It then told me I needed to contact customer support which I did. I realised that there might have been an issue with my driving license address. As I had sold my old house and purchased a new build, the new address was not yet available to change to on the DVLA website, therefore I couldn't change my address. This appears to be the reason the validation failed. The support staff I spoke to pretty much shrugged his shoulders and said "sorry, your address needs to match and because the validation failed we cannot rent to you at this time". That was it. My email and phone number effectively blacklisted for something out of my control. I tried again with my work email and phone and found an old proof of address document which was within the 3 months date requirement that the app asked for, but the application was rejected again. My booking was in 4 days time and now I don't know where I'm going to get a better price. I imagine enterprise has gone up with being so close to the date so I'll end up paying more. I don't think I'll have a response to this feedback but if they do I doubt Hertz will care. Avoi
Nice tech concept shame it didn’t work
I really like the concept and the tech. However in our case we couldn’t unlock the van. Spent 45 mins with customer support and they couldn’t unlock it either. It really left us stranded as had just purchased a large bulky order from B&Q with no way to get it home. Also having the ability to copy the booking ref from the app into the customer support chat sign up page would also be really useful especially as was kicked out of the chat three times and had to sign up each time. Nice tech concept shame it didn’t work and left us stranded.

Ich musste vor der Anmietung schon 3 mal die Hotline anrufen, von der die Nummer wirklich schwer zu finden war. Die App erklärt nicht wie das System funktioniert, wie und wann man den Vertrag elektronisch unterschreiben muss und wie das mit dem Code funktioniert. Noch bekommt man vor der Anmietung ein Nummernschild.
So standen wir dann 20 Minuten neben dem falschen Wagen, der natürlich nicht auf ging um von der Hotline beim vierten Anruf zu erfahren, dass der gemietete Wagen nicht da ist. So musste ich mit meinem privaten Auto zusätzliche 100km fahren, da das Sofa ja an dem Tag abgeholt werden sollte. Dadurch verlängerte sich die Mietzeit, was über die App nicht funktioniert. Also Hotline Nr.5. Verlängert und gefragt was man tu soll wenn der Wagen nur zu 80% voll getankt war als man ihn übernommen hat. Antwort: man solle selber ausreichend wieviel man ca. nachtanken muss. Das 6 Mal musste ich anrufen, weil der Schlüssel im Handschuhfach nicht erkannt wurde ich so die Miete über die App nicht schließen konnte, da das Auto aber wieder verschlossen war.
Achso und für den stornierten nicht verfügbaren Wagen immer noch die Blockierung der bei mir 300% bei Paypal drin.
Das erste und letzte Mal!

Erste Authorisierung bei Paypal für den Wagen der von Herz Seite einfach nicht da war immer noch drin.
Zweite Authorisierung mit erstaunlicherweise richtiger Abrechnung erledigt.
Dritte Authorisierung geht heute 11. Tage nach der Buchung ohne jeglichen Grund bei Paypal ein.
