This was a well planned holiday cycling from Beaune to Macon. The briefing was good. Hotels excellent and meals provided also excellent. The information booklet could have been a bit more helpful but overall a very good experience

Great holiday in Southern Bavaria. Beautiful in the early summer. Good walking directions supported by local signs made it easy to navigate. Very easy to get around using local transport and easy to get to the hotel on the trains. Good hotel with excellent reception team

Headwater provided us with a great holiday, fitted to our requirements.

We cycled from Vienna to Budapest and had a fantastic experience! Hotels were well chosen and the luggage was transported safely.

Excellent service and a quality product.
The trip was just what we wanted. The cycle path from Passau to Vienna was very well maintained and for the vast majority of the time completely away from traffic. This allowed us to relax due to not having to worry about cars and lorries. The only slight problem was on Day 3 when we decided to use the (excellent) paper route notes instaed fo the App for navigation. This was due to the App flatening my phone battery too quickly ( a power pack is essential but mine failed) For the previous 2 days we had followed R1 which we started on on Day 3. I had read the notes and no mention was made of leaving this route so we continued following it. Unfortunately at one point the pedalo route left R1 which we didn't spot for a little while. We managed to find another way but it was a bit inconvenient.
Overall though the trip was excellent and very enjoyable.

Excellent routes and good navigation app took us through some superb and contrasting scenery. Flights, transfers, and accommodation all worked smoothly and Headwater staff were very helpful with initial setting up and further information sent in timely manner.

We did the self guided walking in Puglia from Lecce to Matera. It was really well organised by Headwater. The accommodation and taxi drivers were excellent. Each walk was different and very beautiful. And the towns we visited and stayed in were stunning. It was a an amazing experience!

Everything went to plan , transfers , cases in rooms on arrival and beautiful routes , couldn't ask for anything more .Will definetly do another ride with Headwater .

Booking with Headwater and adding on a side trip was made very easy by the office team. They were knowledgeable about our holiday and communicated well throughout the process of putting it together.
The holiday itself was as described, and we enjoyed walking across the Alpujarras on our own, surrounded by signs of ancient agriculture but meeting almost no one as we walked.

If you enjoy beautiful old agricultural buildings surrounded by a profusion of wild flowers and butterflies then Undiscovered Puglia is for you.

Overall walking was varied - great scenery and interesting villages to explore along the way. Some walks were unnecessarily long if you did want to explore these places more. Headwater were responsive to queries throughout the whole experience. Accomodation was varied too but all good - ensuited and comfortable. Their French contractor was most helpful and transfers occurred on time.

We had the most amazing holiday in the Picos De Europa. Headwater were friendly, efficient and their communication prior to the trip was excellent. Everything went so smoothly.

So many issues. Lack of clear communication. We had a faulty bike and the back up from the Italian end was appalling resulting in my husband being badly injured and both of us having to walk our bikes in the pouring rain for 5km. Despite paying for upgrades most hotels were average staff unhelpful wouldn’t carry our luggage to our rooms as they said the stairs were too steep. Would not service the rooms either as they thought our stay was too short. Refused to even fill our water bottles. The headwater app didn’t not take into account multiple road closures and had no updates or alternative routes to offer. When we accidentally went off course the app didn’t reroute back to the course. It also drained our batteries so didn’t last a day Transfer arrangements to the airport were never given and when eventually sorted turned up late. Very expensive trip and didn’t live up to our expectations or the promises on website. So disappointing

Excellent advice and organisation by the Headwater team in the UK and in Italy. The travel arrangements, flights, transfers, hotels and walk details were all first class. The GPS App was foolproof, accurate and took all the navigational strain away.

Headwater were terrific from start to finish and our trust in them was complete.
From planning with Stephanie to local support from Marta we were able to enjoy the experience of cycling our way around a beautiful part of Portugal.
The hotels and staff treated us well and we enjoyed what they did to make our holiday such fun.
The e bikes were top quality and helped us to travel well.

Fantastic trip from booking to returning home.

The team at Headwater clearly know what they are doing. The holiday was brilliantly organized and everyone was pleasant and helpful; at head office and locally. I would certainly recommend them to anyone considering a walking holiday

We had a wonderful holiday in the villages of the Luberon, our first time with Headwater. It was well organised from start to finish, the reps were friendly, punctual and checked were were OK throughout the holiday.

Every walking route is well planned, with lots of variety. We would never have found the routes ourselves without the Navigation App. The standout walk for us was the final day from Fontaine de Vaucluse to St Didier with stunning views but all the walks were interesting and enjoyable. We travelled in May when the wildflowers were stunning and we were frequently entertained by the sound of the cuckoo.

All of the hotels were outstanding, all the staff were friendly, the beds were super comfortable, all the breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. It was a bit cool for the lovely swimming pools in May but if you stay at the Hotel de Poete you can enjoy a lovely jacuzzi.

We enjoyed all the included dinners very much, they were all of a very high standard with a special mention to the lovely meals at the Restaurant Estellan at Mas de la Senancole.

The walks were classified as 'leisurely plus'. We are active retired but found some of the walks moderately strenuous. We were glad we had done a few 7-10 mile walks as preparation in advance of the holiday.

well planned route, excellent lodging. Wonderful experience. I enjoyed lovely countryside during the day complete with historical points of interest throughout.
