After many years of concentration I decided to get a hair transplants. I did my research and found a company with good reviews YORK HLC hair loss clinic. I was met by a friendly man called Lee. He proceeded to explain to me the process that was involved. He showed me pictures of himself and he was totally bald and had no eyebrows. I'm no expert but looking at the man in front of me in his 50s had more hair then a teenage boy. In my opinion it was clear he was wearing a wig and stick on eyebrows. He recommended laser hair treatment. He said the laser I would be using was twice as powerful as the one used on him . He also used a small camera to exam my bald patch which was about 3 inches on the back of my head. I payed my £2000 and started my once weekly 20 minute laser hair treatment. After six months nothing much had changed I had been taking the tables and applying the serum and shampoo that I was given. So I decided to go for the hair transplant and payed Lee £1300 to book the appointment. He said I was a perfect candidate as I had lots of hair to be transplanted and would have excellent results. I was booked in to Manchester hair clinic and was told it would be a full days treatment. I arrived in Manchester at 8.30 and had a conversation with my surgeon who was to carry out the surgery. After examining me he informed me that the results of my transplant would be not what I was expecting. I was devastated and disappointed as this was not what I had been informed at my consultant. As I had now invested £3300 plus the £1500 I had payed that day I decided to go ahead with the procedure. I was taken into a room had my head shaved and then had injections in my scalp to stop the pain.Then for the next 3 hours a young Filipino lady removed the hair from my head. After a quick sandwich I had more injections in the area that was to receive the hair. My surgeon now returned and made many small holes in my scalp that was to receive the hair transplant ( this was his only part in the process).Then a team of two Filipino ladies and a gentleman proceeded to reattach the hair to my head. After this the surgeon return and proceeded to tell me a well rehearsed 30 minute speech that he fitted into 10 minute's of which I remember very little. He now wanted to sell me a treatment of plasma injections. He said as I was disappointed with what I had been told be my consultant he had contacted his boss and could do this at a reduced price of £300 instead of the price of £500 which I think was the price to everyone at this point I was so disappointed I agree. I had bandages put over my head and left to walk back to my car feeling like everyone was looking at me walking through the town centre of Manchester at the most busy time of day. For the next 14 days I followed the after care to the letter as I was told that this was the most important bit of the whole process. It has now over six months the area that the hair was removed from is still red and visible and a numbnesss in the transplant area not much has changed as far as regrowth goes. I was told it would take over a year to see the full results but I'm not holding out much hope. Still wearing a hat all the time and shaving my head to hid my embarrassment . All in all this was a very negative experience for me and one I would not recommend. I submitted this review to their website but it seems that only positive reviews get published. I wish I had read all the bad reviews before booking.

After experiencing hair loss and thinning around the front of my hair, I decided to opt for Newcastle Hair Loss Clinic as I had tried absolutely everything to try and regain my hair and nothing seemed to work. I took a 6 month course of red light therapy, tablets, minoxidil and medicated shampoo and conditioner. From using this, I have definitely noticed a difference! My baby hairs have all grown back, the health of my hair is much stronger and I have little to no hair fall after the shower. Isra has been amazing to work with, if I had any concerns she was there to help with her knowledge and put me at ease. If you are considering this clinic and still unsure to proceed, I would highly recommend to book a consultation at least to understand the best options for you. I can’t recommend the Hair Loss Clinic (Newcastle) highly enough.
I have always had fine hair but it had started to continually shed & I was loosing an awful lot of it in the shower too. Whilst others didn’t notice, it was having a real impact with my confidence as I was constantly having to manipulate it to hide sight of my scalp. I paid a fortune on different hair products to improve the situation, but nothing was helping.
A friend recommended the Hair Loss Clinic & I thought I’d go to a consultation to see if they could help. I met Israa who instantly made me feel confident this treatment would help me. She showed me images of previous customers & their positive results & then showed me images of my own scalp where it was clear I had significant hair loss. She explained the process & assured me the treatment would work for me. I signed up straightaway & am so genuinely happy that I took Israa’s advice as she was right! I am now ending my 6 month treatment & couldn’t be happier. My hair is so much denser, just like it used to be, and I no longer have bald patches to contend with when I pull my hair up - this has made me so much happier & more confident. I can’t thank Israa enough for all her care & support throughout this process, she makes the appointments a joy to attend.

I would certainly recommend the laser treatment to anyone. It has made a huge impact on my life giving me my confidence back as the hair grew back with amazing results. I can't thank the Carlisle clinic enough, Rick was a fantastic explaining the procedure and supporting the journey.

HLC (Brentwood, Essex)

After many visits to different hair loss specialists (including Harley Street) I decided to go with The Hair Loss Clinic (Brentwood, Essex). The moment I met Alan, I felt at ease and confident that they would be able to reverse my alopecia.
After some life style adjustments and just 2 months of a six month program my hair started to regrow! And after 5 months my hair had completely regrown in all of the affected areas.
I can not recommend Alan and his team high enough at the Hair Loss Clinic (Essex, Brentwood) and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

I had been showing signs of hair loss for a while and decided to do something about it via Newcastle HLC. I was sceptical at first but now I am so glad that I went because having followed a 6 month treatment, I definitely saw improvement. Thanks so much to Israa who has been amazing throughout. I would strongly recommend the Newcastle branch to anyone.

Bad experience with HLC, and I won't recommend anyone I know to use them. Whilst it might work for some and the before and after photos look promising, be wary that it doesn't work for everyone and if you unfortunately fall into the category like me where it doesnt, don't expect their guaranteed results fool you into thinking you can get back the thousands of pounds you paid to achieve the hair growth you wanted.

Ive had the most appalling aftercare from HLC. I first started my LLLT (Low level laser technology) in October 2018, 4 years on, I can now review.

After my consultation with Jessica at the Sheffield Branch, I was offered a £3000 treatment plan for Type II male receding hair loss which involved 6 months of laser therapy including minoxidil, shampoo and hair vitamin tablets. 2 months in and I developed a very bad rash which involved itching, redness and sores over my scalp where I was applying the minoxidil. I was advised to stop the minoxidil until the skin healed and was then put onto a sensitive solution but the symptoms came back, so the minoxidil was stopped all together and was advised I probably was allergic to it. I was advised to discontinue minoxidil and persist with the other treatment until the end of my 6 month period. Not happy about this having learned afterwards that Minoxidil was the main hair growth inhibitor, why wasnt I told about this then? Instead my direct debit continued to flow to HLC and they pretty much just trialled me on LLP for a further 10 weekly sessions with a prolonged 10 minutes added to the time with additional vitamins and shampoo. After these 10 sessions, no improvement, no new hair growth. Jessica said I should persist again with another round of LLP, this period lasted from July 2019 right up until March 2020 free of charge until the pandemic hit. During this period, again, no new hair growth.

Once businesses started to open back up again in July, I made an appointment with Jessica to discuss my treatment further as I wasnt convinced by this point that the LLP was working, but I was convinced to try another 6 weeks of weekly sessions. By the 6th week, there was still no improvement and It was decided I either go for a hair replacement or a hair transplant. Jessica had to seek authorisation for this and in the meantime I was told to see a GP for a blood test. I provided Jessica with my blood results and had no reply. Whilst Covid was doing the rounds and businesses were open one week and closed the next there was no communication from HLC. Once I did back hear from Jessica, I was told to repeat the blood tests, I was pretty frustrated with this and to have to go back to the GP again.

From this point (October 2020 until September 2021) I was continually fobbed off with excuses from Jessica (and I have all the records to prove it) excuse after excuse and could get no clear commitment with the next course of action.

Since HLC advertises their treatment as "guaranteed results" I felt I was left by this time, no option to request a refund. I had a very unprofessional response from Jessica saying she was dismissed and that another company had taken over and I was to contact the HLC enquiries team. After several emails and chasers, I finally got a response with either a free hair replacement (which was so unsuitable for someone with my type of hairloss) or a 50% discount off a hair transplant which would have cost me an additional £1500.

Reluctantly I decided to go for the hair transplant at this stage as there was no mention of them offering a refund and I really just wanted to get the hair loss sorted once and for all. I received an email from a clinic called the hair growth centre in Manchester, the email so vague and poorly written I half thought it was a scam until I verified it with HLC. After reviewing this company I soon realised that HLC had subbed the work out to this company who appear to offer hair transplants on the cheap, with very mixed and unsettling reviews on trust pilot and to my amazement I found the company offering £2,000 hair transplants online, where HLC offered me a £3000 transplant with 50%off

After my research, I decided against the hair transplant and asked for a refund from HLC.

I recently have been in for a visit to HLC who said they will not offer refunds, apologised about the unprofessionalism of Jessica who no longer works for the company and was informed the best thing they could do was offer a 50% discount on a hair transplant!

Overall i am no better off than when i started with the hair loss, just a mere £3,000 out of pocket.

I am now on Finasteride which seems to be helping me.

I would recommend anyone looking for treatment to first start off with Minoxdil and see how your body works with it, given this is the main inhibitor where you can buy from your local chemist at a fraction of the cost.

After experiencing thinning hair I attended the Carlisle clinic where Rick welcomed me and assessed my problem, he advised me on which treatment would be best for me and I’ve now completed my course of treatment. I’m really pleased with the outcome, my hair has thickened up and is in very good condition !

I only started treatment at Newcastle clinic and get my second one tomorrow. I will keep this updated and the outcome.
There are some good comments although some people think they are bogus.
The negative comments can be nerve racking.
I am 75 years old and have androgenic alopoecia.

I have started the treatment March 2021, GUILDFORD BRANCH. There was a good result initially. But then after paying more than £1200 pounds,, the treatment finishes and you still do not have the result you were expecting like what they are showing on their website and photos of before and after images of their previous clients? (Not sure if that is real or paid models and an edited pictures of growing hairs on their sculp)..Then they will promise you to attend an extensive hair laser treatment and pay the amount of another £600. I paid £300 as I emailed them that I am not satisfied with the initial treatment and will give the extensive treatment a go, but I am only paying half of it. They have agreed.....I have attended the treatment weekly and used all their products, the shampoo, conditioner, oral tablets and the solution.. Well, at the end of the treatment nothing has changed. They will fool you that the there is a good result...when u know..there is none...and they want you to buy all those products for the after treatment effect....DO NOT BE FOOL, ASK FOR MONEY BACK GUARANTEE....DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM LIKE ME.

Had the results that I was told in my initial consultation with Jess Dunn that I would have hair regrowth in 6-12 months. The laser technique has yielded no visible results and I feel that the £2000 I’ve paid for the laser treatment as a waste of time. In the first initial consultation with Jess Dunn she said that I was definitely the candidate for the laser treatment as I had initially been looking for hair transplant FUE treatment, however the laser treatment has had no impact at all on the hair loss that I’ve been experiencing. The staff that I’ve been seeing have been great however the laser has not worked at all for me in the past 18 months that I had been attending the Blackburn hair loss clinic.I feel really low in terms morale and confidence as I was hoping for visible hair growth by now as you had stated guaranteed results on website

I started to notice that my hair was thinning on the crown soon after menopause and falling out at an alarming rate. I am very cynical about any 'beauty' treatment so i was with hair loss treatment too. I did a lot of research before approaching my local Hair Loss Clinic in Bromely, where I met with Jake, the owner. Our consultation lasted an hour and a half during which time he explained the procedure to me and answered all my questionsI asked him as many questions satisfactorily. I was wary of a 'hard sell' but there was none. I was told everything correctly, as I had discovered during my extensive research about hair loss and what could be realistically achieved. I was told that hair follicles that had died could not be brought back to life, so obvious but people may not realise this. Jake looked at my hair under the microscope, which I could see on the screen of the computer; it showed I had already lost 10% of my hair. I felt that even if there was a 1% chance that the treatment would prevent further hair loss I would go for it. So I decided to go for the Minoxidil plus laser treatment.
This lasted more than 6 months. Within about three months I noticed that my hair wasn't falling out at the same rate as before. A halfway check with the microscope shoed that new hair was growing. At the end of the treatment the microscope assessment showed that there was a lot of new growth and I could confirm that my hair was falling out normally. i no longer had large handfuls of hair on my brush and on the carpets. My hair didn't look thicker and the sparse bits on the crown were still sparse but not worse and possibly may not get worse. The new hair, Jake said, would get longer and not be evident for another couple of years, which makes sense, I have long hair.
Would I recommend this treatment? If you are prepared to follow the instructions meticulously and you are worried about hair loss and have the money to pay for it (it's expensive at over £1600) then I would say it's worth having a try, it might work for you. Do it before the hair loss gets bad.
I would recommend the Bromley branch. Jake comes across as honest and professional and Sophie, who is your main point of contact there is very helpful. A number of times I needed to change the date or time of my appointments and she was more than willing to accomodate my wishes. I have had a good experience there and feel I made the right decision to invest in my hair, it seems to have paid off. The only reason I have not given them 5 stars is because I don't know how long my new hair is going to stay on my head and how long the effects of the treatment will last. Jake has assured me it will be in the region of 15 years. this sounds miraculous. If I'm still happy with my head of hair in 2-3 year time I shall return to write another review as this is what's missing here - long term data from reviewers.

Reading HLC - poor service paid for laser hair therapy which made me lose hair instead of gain. I was told l would receive 2 free sessions of platelet rich plasma for aftercare which never happened.
Do not waste your time and money!!!

I paid £1500 on 29/7/2020, as I was losing my hair and Jake told me that I was a perfect candidate for the laser and minoxidil treatment to work.
I was also told that the Regrowth would stay for at least 10 years. After the treatment course was finished , I was happy with the results. However within a few months the hair started to fall out again.
I purchased a laser led helmet at a fraction of the price ( from a different supplier ) and started to use it on a regular basis, but without the minoxidil it didn’t work.

I went back to HLC Brighton to see Jake as I needed the minoxidil for a sensitive scalp. I told him how disappointed I was and I felt I should at least get some minoxidil for free. He offered me three bottles at half price and charged me full price for the vitamins.
So no help at all unless I was prepared to keep paying out at the full price.
I wish I had researched this more and not gone by their website and the positive reviews shown.
I could have treated myself for a fraction of the cost , as its now obvious to me that this needs to be a permanent treatment.
I have now contacted my credit card company , in the hope that I can get some of my money back.
Please take care when dealing with these people.

I had suffer alopecia for about 15 and had tried lots of treatments but nothing had really worked. I started to have low laser treatment at Shrewsbury and after about 6 months all my bald patches had started to grown back and a year down the line my hair is much thicker and I’m really pleased with the results. Joe and Nikki at Shrewsbury were great answered all my questions and I would highly them and the treatment.

I have suffered with thin hair for years tried lots of different products with out any success. After watch the TV program featuring HLC and see the amazing results achieved by the clients I decided to try it for myself . So , I booked a course of treatment at the Blackburn clinic .I was treated by Carla who recommended a course of treatment and from start to finish the care and attention throughout the treatment with her was first class .I am delighted to say the treatment worked and my hair is back to how it was years ago I would highly recommend this .

I began suffering from alopecia around 15 years ago after a stressful situation at my place of work at the time. I initially went private and was prescribed a steroid treatment that was to be applied externally everyday. I didn’t carry on as it didn’t seem to make much of an impact. I had tried various shampoos and hair treatments over the years and my hair would on and off have waves of being very thin and slightly thicker. I then got to around Feb 2021 and my hair was in a really bad way, very thin and some patches. I have dark hair and Asian skin and therefore it was very noticeable to see my scalp. I was down about it and my confidence was at an all time low. I thought I’d bite the bullet and investigated laser hair therapy. I had no recommendations to go by and so just read reviews online. I decided to try Birmingham Hair Loss clinic and even though I was sceptical, I thought ‘really what have I got to lose!’ Joe was very supportive and was sure it would make a difference. I started to notice the changes within the first 2 months. I was religious about using the products properly and as recommended. Gradually my hair looked thicker and the thinning hair lines looked much thicker. By the end of my 6 month treatment, I was really happy with the results. I carried on with the products and my confidence and low self esteem have really improved. I wish I began the treatment sooner and could not recommend the clinic enough.
