We went in to the store to buy cold weather clothing as we are off to the Antarctic. We were assisted by Nu. Her time was not an issue while she explaining our options. A truly good service. Will definitely recommend the store to others.

I experienced fantastic customer service from Nu whilst browsing to buy a new coat to keep me warm. Nu went into great detail about the benefits and cons of each different type of coat stocked in the store.

I was served by Carol on the tills who was very friendly and chatty, provided a warm welcome and a pleasant goodbye.

Overall a very positive experience shopping in the Basingstoke store!

A belated review for Go Outdoors as I mislaid the ‘How did we do Slip’
I am 64 years old and probably only visited the old Basingstoke store once or twice, however I visited the new store above John Lewis as directed to by a friend as I was needing some equipment to hike up Kilimanjaro.
I wandered the store for around 15 minutes at a total loss of what I actually needed to get correctly equipped for this trip. Was I glad to have had the assistance of ‘Saw or ‘Sau’ This young man spent nearly two hours guiding me through the different clothes and equipment that I was going to need. He guided me through what was best for me, his knowledge and expertise was priceless, he was caring, attentive and passionate about his job.
He guided me through the different departments as I needed everything from boots to head torch.
I made subsequent visits to Go Outdoors with a total spend of around £1400.
I was so made up with the service I had received and it’s testament to the training and recruitment policy of the company

Everybody that was in the shop today was very helpful and friendly. In particular, Paul in the footwear section was knowledgeable and gave us some really useful information.

Terry who works in the bike department was excellent. Really helpful and went out of his way to give great advice and did everything he could to ensure the new bike would be here in time for Christmas, assisted by Julia on the till who was also very helpful.

I had a great experience at GO Outdoors thanks to Carol. She was incredibly friendly, approachable, and took the time to really understand what I needed before helping me choose the correct shoes. Carol went above and beyond, offering knowledgeable advice and making sure everything fit perfectly rather than rushing the sale. She’s a real credit to the store and made the whole experience genuinely enjoyable. Thank you, Carol!

Being new to The Ramblers, members recommended GO at Basingstok, as they had a great range of gear and knowledge staff. Well I wasn't disappointed. I got help from a staff member called Paul, who as it turned out really was very knowledgeable. He helped me choose the items I was looking for. His great help saved me lots of time and I left feeling that I had made the right choices. Thx Paul. I will be back

Ana, and Carol, in Go Outdoors shop in Basingstoke were very patient and helpful.

Assistant was happy to push the membership, but was misleading about accessing the membership ‘card’ digitally. I specifically requested if there was a Go Outdoors app or the ability to add the membership number to Apple Wallet. I was assured this was the case, but neither of the facilities seem to exist. Surely this fundamental feature of membership should be well understood by staff and explainable to customers.

I popped in to the new store next to Waitrose today in Basingstoke. Paul was very helpful in helping me try on a few pairs (6 or 7) until I found a good pair that fitted. I walked away a happy customer!

My folding bike needed some attention and I'd noticed the servicing sign when in store generally.

Spoke to Terry about the issues I was noticing and left the bike over night for servicing and inspection. Received a call the next day advising it's now in tip top shape and ready for collection.

Very knowledgeable technicians, and a great servicing price for members. Will certainly be using this service for other bikes within the family, and thoroughly recommend to others.

I was helped by Nu in clothing. I went in for a pair of walking shoes and came out with 3 jackets and 3 pairs of trousers as well ! Her knowledge and patience were hugely appreciated and I am now properly kitted out for any type of weather the Cornish coast throws at me. Huge thanks Nu you are a rock star x

A great variety of items in a relaxed atmosphere.. All staff were approachable, polite and knowledgeable. The gentleman serving us with a lovely moustache was very knowledgeable, patient and didn’t rush us to make a decision
