The process of donating my father-in-law's car was made very simple by Giveacar.
Their communication and support was excellent, and what might have been a stressful job turned out to be super simple - plus the value of the car was donated to a charity close to our hearts.

Signing up for Giveacar required very little effort for rewarding results. I was pleased that someone benefited from my car needing to be scrapped.

1. The car collection was set for a whole day, so we were in all day..... Nobody came that day. Car collected following day. No advance warning
2. The collectors was a contractor. Said that they did not need the VO5, that the transfer wold be dealt with by the office on-line. After 1 month we had to chase the transfer or ownership up as were being chased by DVLA for next tax payment.

It's just a process! No excuses.

Giveacar arranges for your car to be picked up at your home. So there is no need to spend the time, effort and cost of taking it to an assessment location. The pickup of my car was on time and went smoothly.

I like the idea that the proceeds made from the sale of my car went to my charity of choice.

Sale and collection proceeded smoothly with no problem at all. Maybe donation not as much as originally quoted but glad to have this company to assist in helping fund the British Hedgehog Preservation Society.

I knew my 27 year old Micra was worth very little but I thought 95 pounds to donate to the hospice that helped my family wasn't a bad outcome. The process was easy and it was helpful to have it picked up and taken away. I hope its still out there on the road somewhere.

Very quick response to initial enquiry. And fast collection of vehicle via Copart. Was a surprise to be offered 50% share of proceeds of sale. Then things slowed down I'm guessing due to financial constraints, waiting for the buyer to forward payment etc. Took around 2 months from start to finish. Didn't like the way emails are sent, meaning they are automated so admin apparently can't change/edit so sometimes was confusing however staff were friendly & clarified when contacted.

A lovely pick up man, so polite and friendly. He made light work of a very difficult job.
