Really happy with the sunset lamp, gives a lovely warm glow in the evenings. Only reason it's not 5 stars is the cable could be a bit longer. Delivery was fine and the box arrived undamaged

A TOTAL FRAUD of a company. DO NOT BUY….Supposed to be UK and based in Newcastle making handmade embroidered items.
THE REALITY:
FACTORY PRODUCED and SHIPPING from CHINA.
Advertised as ‘closing down’ and clearing stock as the lady sewing these handmade baskets was retiring and they were selling stock off !!!!!
What they are actually selling is mass produced, cheap low grade printed nylon items of extremely APPALLING QUALITY and made in CHINA. Materials and images absolutely nothing like the advertised product.

THIS IS A SCAM OF A COMPANY.

REFUNDS IMPOSSIBLE AS THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAILS.

PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND DO NOT BUY.

Scam Chinese company that tell lies about products for sale on their website.

Retail fraud! ! Bags are not quilted, just cheaply printed rubbish! Paid by Paypal and I put in a claim through them.It seems I will only get my £89.95 refund if I pay to send the bags back to China at my cost! Not worth it as it's too expensive. Do not buy anything from this company. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering.

Complete rubbish - no quilting, just cheap polyester print knock off - definitely not from UK. Do not buy!! Very disappointed, don't think it will be easy to get a refund😔

DO NOT BUY FROM! Called Ginny & Co Newcastle. The shop isn't based in Newcastle or even in the UK. The item arrived from China. The laundry bag isn't quilted and is a cheap knock off product which is just 2d printed. Wish I had checked Scam Advisor and Trust Pilot before purchase. £90 down the drain.

I wish I had read reviews. I ordered two baskets and they are cheap quality as others have said and printed polyester. I now realise they are made overseas and they are stalling refunding my money and offering me discount. Today I’ve responded and said I want a full refund and they should be reported to trading standards. I wish to return both items

I had seen a crocheted bag online which I liked and my husband said to send for it as part of my 80th birthday gift. This was way back in July. The bag arrived and I was not madly pleased with it as it is very 'floppy'. After 8 days of very light use (probably only left the house 3 times) I noticed one of the metal studs had come off at the bottom of the handle. When I went to the website I noticed the bag should have had a leather type luggage tab on it which it did not. The company took ages to respond to my complaint and we have been back and forth with emails since. I was offered, first of all a paltry refund of 10% £4.99 this has risen to 30% plus a shop credit which I definitely do not want. As another complainer has said, there is no shop address nor telephone number. I still intend to try. I would like to escalate but feel for something that cost almost £50 (a lot for a poor quality bag) it is just not worth it. They definitely do not honour their money back guarantee. I feel I qualify in the circumstances.

BUYER BEWARE

I did NOT receive a hand-quilted basket with fluffy sheep hand-appliqued for its curly coat as advertised on the “shop’s” website. Instead I received a basket made of poor quality printed material. It looks really cheap and mass produced. I was misled into believing I was purchasing an item from a shop in Newcastle. You have to send a return to China at your own cost. They do NOT provide the 30-day money-back guarantee on every order, No questions, no hassle. I was twice offered the basket at a reduced cost or a store credit. After revisiting the website I noticed this so called shop has no address and the Newcastle pin does not take you to a map.

This “shop” is in China. I ordered a hand quilted basket which turned out to be a cheap printed image of quilting. Can only get a full refund if I return it tracked to China. They pretend to be an English shop in Newcastle but I would not trust anything they sell.

As others have mentioned on here, the company has nothing to do with a lovely looking shop supposedly in Newcastle. The items - cheap tat come from China. I bought a pair of sandals and followed their advice and ordered a size larger than normal - much too small. Tried to return for a full refund and received the same replies as others about the cost of returning to China and offering a partial refund. Despite me quoting consumer protection law at them - this has worked in the past - it didn't have any effect with this company. They keep sending very polite emails, offering more of a refund. I eventually accepted their offer and in spite of this apparently been sent on 27th July, I am still waiting. They keep telling me it has been sent but surprise, surprise my credit card has not received it. I will ask for their help.
Please, please do not buy from this company. I can't believe some of the positive comments on here, especially about good quality and the one praising the parcel, as like receiving a present!!My sandals came in a cheap sellophane wrapping with an outer plastic bag - not how my presents come wrapped!

The blouse is nice quality and I decided to keep it. The colour was a little different from what I saw on my screen, but customer service was helpful when I asked about it.

Item supplied had absolutely no resemblance to what I ordered - ordered hand quilted item and supplied cheap laser printed tat.

This company has no effective returns policy.
They will try to give you a small refund if you agree to keep your unwanted item. If you insist on a full refund you will have to send the item to China or similar at your own considerable expense. If you email them you will get an AI generated response. The 1 star rating is generous as there is no Zero star option! I am referring to my bank for a claw back.

Exactly as previous comments late delivery , tried to return for refund but was told it had to be returned to China at my cost & could take weeks AVOID this company it’s a total scam with rubbish products.Another Facebook disappointment will never order another product. Will now refer to my credit card company & trading standards

Scam company misleading customers. Do not buy!Incredibly unhappy with my experience. Despite using "Newcastle" in their web address, this company does not exist in Newcastle. Shipping was extremely slow because the item actually ships from China.The item itself is incredibly poor quality. When I requested a full refund, customer service refused to cooperate. They keep offering a tiny partial refund if I keep the useless item. If I want a full refund, they are forcing me to pay expensive return postage costs all the way back to China.This is a misleading drop-shipping operation. Avoid at all costs.

Very disappointed with product and have just been told returns address will be outside of the UK. This is despite it being ordered from a UK website.
I would advise avoiding this company!

Bought several items online as site based in Newcastle with a pic of shop on website. Website offered 30 day no quibble return.
The parcel late in arriving and email said due to high demand goods now sourced overseas, so slower delivery. This was a red flag to me.
I checked returns policy which said goods had to be returned unopened and then checked in their warehouse.
Goods finally arrived...By this time I was wary so I decided they were unsuitable. Opened the parcel -no paperwork.
Sent email asking for address of where to return goods. Responded saying I could keep the goods for a 20% discount as it would be expensive for me to return overseas. Wrote again saying I did not want to keep the goods and what was return address in UK .
Another response offering me a 30% discount to keep the goods. So it went on...I now knew that it was not a bone fide company.
I reported to trading standards via Citizens Advice and contacted Santander ,my credit card provider who asked for the paperwork and would pursue. I persisted with emails and finally received overseas address in China and an offer of 50% discount to keep the goods.
I have no intention of doing business with such a company. I am now waiting for Santander to recoup money via chargeback or via section 75.
My advice...Avoid this company.
It appears much of the website and correspondence is generated by AI.

I contacted my card provider-Santander. They told me it was an arrangement between customer and merchant and to follow the procedure on the website which was to return the goods. It took several attempts to get a return address which was in China. I posted the parcel and have been tracking it. It has been in Chinese customs now for some weeks.
I contacted Ginny who send polite AI generated letters saying that they would give me a refund in 3-5 days. Several 5 days have come and gone and I email again several times. They reply saying its escalated to the Finance team etc.for a refund

I return to Santander who are not helpful and say the goods have to clear customs etc.I tell them these are criminals and no more money should be paid to this company.. I am told they cannot comment on their criminality. They tell me they are the 3rd party with Mastercard so not able to stop more money going to Ginny.

In the meantime I heard a consumer programme on R4 'You and Yours'. I have written offering to help in any way I can.

Since I wrote my original review on Trustpilot more and more people have been scammed and left reviews.

Why is it impossible to stop these companies from scamming so many? Why is Santander (and possibly other c/card providers?) not really getting involved?
I question whether Santander will ever refund me. So far I just keep being told it is being investigated. I am not eligible for section 75 since no one item exceeded £100.
