The avoidable scratching of my oak floor …
An engineer visited my property to fix a faulty washing machine two weeks ago. He was asked to please take special care as we had just had an oak floor laid and it was as yet unscratched. He nevertheless, just pulled the machine out without paying heed to our request and scratched the floor badly. I immediately called sent a photo , which was referred to management and 20 days later still no response, not even an acknowledgement!!

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we are sincerely sorry for the experience you’ve had. The care of our customers’ homes is extremely important to us, so we are very disappointed to hear about the damage caused to your new oak flooring, protective equipment is issued to the team and care was taken however due to the washing machine being integrated this resulted in further challenges and the engineer unintentionally damaged the floor.
We also apologise for the lack of timely communication following your initial report, you should have been made aware the engineer will contact you on his return from annual leave. This is not the level of service we aim to provide, and we understand how frustrating it must have been waiting without acknowledgment.
We have now contacted you directly, and Nigel returned to your property on the 25th of February to fully resolve this matter.
Thank you for your patience, and we appreciate the opportunity to put things right. If you need anything further in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Another smooth appliance purchase from Gillmans
This must be the 5th or 6th appliance we've purchased from Gillmans over the years. They always seem to have very competitive prices and their service is excellent. This time we've purchased a Siemens washer/dryer, the transaction was completed online and the machine delivered/installed on the date selected. The two man team who installed it did an excellent job. The machine did its first wash that afternoon and has been used everyday since without any issues so we're very happy.
