Purchased Hope tech e4 breaks and Hope wheels as upgrades for my Orange alpine. I rang through the order told the guy my bike and year and he sorted everything break mount type hub sizes. excellent service. Fast delivery. Cheapest on the net.

I purchased a Specialised Levo FSR Comp at the weekend.....I ordered it on the Sunday and there was a problem with the website and my Card payment......Joe came in straight after his ride and sorted out my payment and the bike was built, shipped and on the trails by midday on Tuesday despite me living 200 miles away. The shipping service was 1st class, all I had to do was screw my pedals, seat and bars on and take it straight out....Absolutely excellent service.....I rang up to order a remote a few days later and was given a generous discount......The guys in the shop are full of knowledge, helpful, friendly......They will be my go to shop for all my needs despite being so far away......!st class job guys...11 out of 10......Paul Stoyles. I purchased a new bike from freeborn & would like to say what a great service I got from them. I had a few bikes that I was keen too buy for myself. When I called freeborn they spent the time talking to me about the Differences of the bikes that I was keen on. I eventually purchased one of the bikes which included an upgrade at a Great price. "which no other shop would offer & just wasn't truly interested" I'm very pleased with the Service from an online bike shop, which spent over 30 minutes helping. I've since purchased some other accessories from Freeborn and again the service has been great....
I would highly recommend Freeborn cycles for sure.

Having read previous reviews I thought the company would have taken onboard comments re bike stock and cancelling orders. Therefore I ordered a bike from their page as they had the best price I could find. It took two days for them to contact me and tell me they did not have the bike in stock anymore. They then offered me a second bike at discount price however this was still 25% more than what I had tried to pay for the initial bike. If I had 25% more to spend I would have spent 25% more... Not only this but my money is still being held and is not back in my account. Very disappointed and I would definitely not recommend the use of this company.

Got the bike I wanted but needed to assemble it. Not the greatest mechanic but I used all the correct tools but still managed to wreck the stem. Not a problem, I contacted Freeborn and they asked me to take the bike to a Specialized dealer of my choice near me, provided me with a free stem and refunded me the cost for the dealer to assemble the bike professionally!

Couldn't recommend these guys highly enough! Awesome post-sales service! I hope you don't have the luck I had assembling it, but if you do you are in safe hands!

What the web site shows as in stock is nothing like, what is in stock.
Web site shows bikes etc as in stock, so order and want to collect, and told that this has been out of stock for a while, but can buy a more expensive one if i wanted. Staff, get stroppy when simply asked if i can have the original one requested, because it is still showing as in stock, but told, well we have to much stuff to keep track of what is in stock and whats not.

I bought a Devinci Wilson DH bike from Freeborn recently. The whole experience was great from the original discussions to the day of purchase. The knowledge the staff have is second to none, advice on the setup for me was great. I got an amazing deal and the bike was ready in a few days for me. If you are looking at buying a bike for any discipline, pop in or ring them, you wont be disappointed.

I ordered a product off the site only to be told that for safety reasons they will only deliver to my billing address - in other words, their 'safer' option is delivery to the pavement outside my house. They flat out refused to deliver to my work place, which is utterly ludicrous. I would strongly suggest you purchase your product from another online retailer. This kind of inflexibility without good reason is simply poor customer service.

Products are a high standard and they're always happy to help!

I recently was looking to purchase a new down hill bike and was drawn to the Devinci range.
Being relatively new to the brand I called the main office where the team were very knowledgeable and helpful. We arranged to pop into the shop to have a look in person and get a feel for the bikes.

Long story short, purchase completed with the Wilson and riding got a new spring of life. Awesome!

Ordered on line a 2016 Specialised Cross trail at 8-30 PM, next day at 10 30 am I received a phone earlier call that the size I ordered was no longer in stock and that I could have the upgraded 017 bike at the same price, WOW not only had I found the best price on the Web but had been upgraded free of charge to the 017 model , the bike turned up today perfectly set up and with a lovely message from the mechanic Brad that if I needed any help in putting the handle Bar on or front wheel then I was to call him , I did not need to - yes the bike i ordered was not available and the Web site did say that I should call before ordering to check up to date stock - I did not and you can not moan at them when you read something and then do not do it ! but what an upgrade, use these guys as they are on it and know their stuff

Just bought a new pair of Endura long tights from Freeborn After 15 years good service from the old pair . I tried on a new pair which fitted
Well again but they had a pad , so the shop ordered me a pair with out a pad which I got in 3 days . A good overall service.

Superb customer service. The workshop had all three bays full of hard working young adults, not making a fault and completely focused on their work. Joe, who works at the desk, was friendly on the phone when I enquired about a bike, and was equally friendly in Person. The bike in question was a 2017 Spezialized enduro comp and no matter how hard I searched I could not find a price cheaper that that at Freeborn. The bike was ordered online, constructed and ready for collection only 2 days later. Futhermore, a bottle and bottle-cage was thrown in at no extra cost! The manager, Paul, was extremely friendly to customers and staff and passionate towards the company. Ten out of ten would recommend and shop their again. Great value and customer service. Will definitely be returning for further purchases and services.

After a while in the shop deciding what bike to go for i came to the conclusion of the Specialized enduro.
Unfortunately the colour i required wasnt available anywhere in the uk, so the boys down at freeborn gave me the available options a got me an alternative colour ordered and built within the week at a very reasonable price.
Very much appreciate the great service and deals that they always provide me with. Not to mention the vast choice of products!

I've been a mountain biker for many years now and as a result I have dealt with a great deal of bikes shops from different parts of the UK and indeed different parts of the world, including last years trip to the Megavalanche circuit in the Alps. There are lots of poor bike shops and there are lots of mediocre ones too, but very few exceptional ones. Freeborn sits in that minority of exceptional. On a recent acquisition I purchased a set of Ohlins forks for my Enduro, after a while I experienced various issues that were immediately addressed by Freeborn. Eventually I upgraded from an Ohlins 34 to a 36 which resulted in the front wheel being re-dished and adaptors to cater for the boost size. Freeborn had no issues and catered for everything quickly and efficiently to get me out on the hills again. The services, was without question, the best I have experienced in a long while. Well done Freeborn.

Despite having read other reviews commenting on EXACTLY this sort of thing, I was in a corner and needed the cycle part quickly, so took a punt on Freeborn. I shouldn't have; the website described the item in stock (XT Chainset with BB) at a good price, too good as Freeborn did not have the part in stock after-all, offering me an upgrade at an increased price without a BB. I spoke to their sales staff who just took my number promising to ring back; I also replied to Freeborn's e-mail telling me of the stock shortage too, asking to either supply the upgraded chainset WITH a BB, or else cancel the order. Eventually after another 1 1/2 hours I discovered the order was cancelled at source by Freeborn, with a sheepish confirmation e-mail saying they couldn't offer the deal.
I cannot recommend using this firm, who seem to advertise goods that are not in stock at an artificially low price to entice customers, then offer higher priced replacements. Do not use Freeborn; their website and their sales staff cannot be trusted.

Went to order a product for the second time only to be told, Oh the stock isn't correct on the website, you need to ring to check stock before you buy, Not much point trying to buy something in the evening then? Not much point having a website?

Ordered a discounted 2016 specialized mountain bike for a Christmas present. Received an apologetic e-mail next day to say they didn't have it in stock, but offered instead the 2017 model at the same discounted price. Great customer service followed by quick delivery.
