I have used Flipkey before and have found fantastic homes to rent.
I found the homes to be beautiful, they are always clean & inviting for our family. Way better than staying at an overpriced hotel. We eat organic food and we can bring it with us and prepare it at leisure. My husband is a chef, so why go out ! Love the opportunity of having a choice in our vacation plans. Flipkey gives me that choice at a variety of different states. 5 Stars in my book ! Thanks !

Owners be carefull cause flipkey or Tripadvisor only cares about it's
percentage on deals %.
They don't care about your property. Or the state it's left behind when you try to claim some damage deposit. Owners are fishing behind the net.

That is the problem "only physical damage" My property was left in a state that looks like a dumpster. The housecleaning needed 2 persons extra for 2 hours just to drag the rubbish outside, a ton of empty alcohol bottles all over the place, Pizza boxes, sunbeds from neihgbors inside, twice the amount of people slept inside and used of course an excesive amount of electricity.
In my rental agrement is stated what is allowed and what isn't. And we ask our renters that they leave the house in a clean state.
All proof was on camera and photos, it took 7 months from your side reply on this matter. For a claim of 100€ with bill send in.
If that's your protection program i thank you. But i will go where they do care about owners 's property.
My house is delisted.

Rather than reduce their fees to the guest to attract more vacation rental owners and more guest bookings, they tell owners that collecting 100% upfront is no longer available. Their schpiel is that if I collect less upfront I will get 40% more bookings. Ah no, reduce your fees which guests KNOW are the highest of online booking platforms and THAT's why your bookings are low. Guests arent stupid. And, vacation rental owners are no longer getting guest contact info when you stop the 100 percent payment. How is the home owner to send a contract to the guest?
Do you think that owners who invest hundreds of thousands of dollars in their business arent going to get guest registry and rental agreements signed by the guests. News flash: insurance companies require it. No, contracts cant be sent via a secure e-SIGN service to a cloaked email on flipkey/ tripadvisor. So you are now screwing the guest as well as the owners who feed you. It's a shame that flipkey/tripadvisor thinks they are going to take control of my financial affairs of my business. While a 50% deposit is sop for fly-to average one week rentals that are booked weeks and months in advance, it doesnt work for drive-to, local destinations booked days or a week in advance. Figure out your own business first before you think you will take control of ours.
Your fees are ridiculous and much higher than HomeAway and Abnb.
Better yet, guests need to book direct with the vacation rental owner.

The five bedroom house we booked a year in advance turned out perfect for 7 adults and 3 children. Everyone enjoyed the pools, TVs in every room and large kitchen. Family get togethers can be tricky, allowing everyone enough space.
The house was very clean, supplied with basic necessities and lots of pool towels.
Throughout the process of communicating with Flipkey and Evolve, it was easy and professional. We’ve always been happy with Flipkey and will continue to refer to them.
FlipKey for a host support site -- SUCKS! It is impossible to find a number for a live voice or computer chat to ask a question. I tried to list my property in 2018 and got so frustrated I took my properties off line. I tried to list my properties again for 2019 and again I got so FRICKING frustrated I took them offline. I am 100% with Airbnb.
FlipKey doesn't list how to find a human being (phone or chat) to ask a specific question.
JUST for the recorded, I wanted to know if FlipKey collected the taxes for Utah (county and transcient room) or if I the host had to collect the taxes.

Still frustrated -- even after a response. I note a note back from TripAdvisor that a host contact sheet can be found on the TripAdvisor website and not the FlipKey website.
Seriously-- How would I, the host using FlipKey, know I had to go to TripAdvisor to find a contact form to ask a question (I actually tried this--contact TripAdvisor, but couldn't find the link they provided)? It would stand to logic the link should be on Flipkey since that is what I am registered with.

Hey I went to the link sent to me to indicate if I needed to pay the VAT taxes for my location. The didn't tell me if FlipKey collected it or not. So that link didn't help me answer the question.
(In the past 3.5 years I have hosted over 1,000 guests at my home. Only 4 people have been booked through Flipkey. I try to work with this entity, I get frustrated, and I take my listings offline.
So I still give Flipkey a 1 star.

I received notice, one week from the day I was to have the rental, that the owner had canceled my booking. The booking was made in September and the deposit made at the time of booking, balance paid 2 weeks before it was due. The reason I was given from Trip Advisor was that the owner double booked and the response from the owner was "this booking is cancelled". If it was double booked, why was my booking the one cancelled? At this late date, there is nothing available for a party of our size. I did everything that I was suppose to do, who is accountable and responsible in situations like this? Aren't there any consequences to owners who cause such hardships and disappointment?

BEWARE OF HIDDEN BOOKING FEES - I booked a place through Trip Advisor/FlipKey near Disney online. I paid $4,165,57 for the place for 6 nights. Nowhere on the Rate Summary sheet did they indicate that I would be paying Trip Advisor/Flip Key a booking fee of $477.55. I placed one call and booked the place online myself. On top of that I was charged Rental Tax of on both the Rental and the booking fee ($398.52) plus a $50 processing feel and $68.00 Accidental Damage Waiver plus a few hundred dollars of cleaning fees. The Rate Summary did not show the booking fee at all they just lumped it in with the rental cost. Talk about hidden costs. I only realized all of this when the Property Manager sent me a contract with a rental quote of $3,100. Trip Advisor needs to be more upfront in displaying their booking fee on the Rate Summary. I now question Trip Advisor's reputability and I'm very disappointed. I will never use them to book a property again. When you are finally able to talk with someone you know they are on the other end of the world.

The ease of use and immediate confirmations by the owners and rental managers offers a certain degree of security knowing that you are not subject to a scam. I'm looking forward to eventually coming back with additional comments after my stay.
Can't believe they are in business. I am a property owner. They have pathetic customer service and lie through their teeth and never call back. Talked to 5 different representatives all telling me one thing and then guaranteeing me a supervisor would call me back based on my request. Of course, that didn't happen and I'm still trying to a resolution to their screwup.

I have never had a problem when booking accommodation through FlipKey.
I called and emailed to cancel my order on Nocv. 8th for my booking from Dec.21 to 27th. Nobody replied my email with confirmation with full refund that I asked. Really not happy with this.

So far so good! This is my first time working with FlipKey
Had a little issue about waiting for reservation to be accepted and then it got declined. Talked bk and forth on chat on computer and finally I had to re-submit reservation and it got accepted. Would have been easier by phone but it got resolved .
