Friendly Staff basically had a watch battery replaced on their battery for life scheme and all went to plan and was ready collect when specified.

Very disappointing experience with F. Hinds

I purchased a 9ct gold diamond ring from F. Hinds, and after only around three months of wear, the ring started causing itching and left a black/ dark discolouration on my finger. The ring itself also appeared discoloured.

When I first took the ring into the store and showed it to the lady working there, her immediate reaction was: “Oh, is it a white gold one?” This was particularly concerning to me given that the ring was supposed to be 9ct gold.

I was initially told that the ring could be sent away for assessment, and I understood that this process could take some time. However, I subsequently received a response stating that F. Hinds considered there to be no manufacturing issue and that the problem “lies with the wearer”. I was also directed towards NAJ Resolve to investigate the matter.

What is even more disappointing is that I still do not have my ring back. The ring remains with the company, and despite my concerns and attempts to get clarification, I have not received a proper response or had the ring returned to me. At this point, I don’t even know what is happening with my own ring.

I want to make clear that the ladies working in the store were not rude to me. They were polite, and I believe they were simply following the procedures, rules and instructions they were expected to follow as employees. My complaint is about how the company has handled the situation, particularly the lack of communication and resolution.

For a piece of jewellery that was sold as 9ct gold, I expected much better quality and, more importantly, much better customer service when an issue arose.

Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend F. Hinds and would not purchase jewellery from them again.

The team were extremely helpful sorting out eatch battery and adjusting a strap. They also advised on a vintage watch strap replacement.

I had my two daughter’s ears pierced today in Huddersfield and was served by an incredibly polite gentleman. His customer service was amazing and he made them feel at such ease. We nearly went somewhere else but I’m so glad we didn’t. Would not hesitate to recommend

Went in there today, my first time visiting the store and certainly won’t be the last. The staff in there were friendly and chatty whilst remaining professional. They couldn’t do enough to help and to make sure I was fully happy with my purchase. Ten out of ten for cleanliness of the store, the staff members and the high quality products available

Very helpful when I went in to try a ring on the Wednesday and the young lady said it would be ready for the Monday I had a email and a text saying it was ready on the Friday but I was away so I picked it on the Monday and the young man was very pleasent and got my ring the staff was very helpful and very friendly
