Warning about ebookers
I strongly advise against booking through ebookers. As long as your trip goes smoothly, the company may appear to function adequately. However, the moment problems arise — such as flight or hotel cancellations, delays, rebookings, or any other complications — the true extent of their poor customer service becomes obvious.
In situations like these, customers are essentially left completely on their own. Meaningful support, clear communication, and genuine assistance are practically nonexistent. In particular, obtaining a refund for a cancelled trip turned into an absolute nightmare: endless arguments, constant delays, and countless interactions with utterly incompetent and overwhelmed customer service agents. Despite having legitimate claims, enormous pressure was required just to recover part of the money owed.
Such a disrespectful and customer-unfriendly approach is completely unacceptable. Anyone wishing to avoid stress, wasted time, and financial loss should avoid booking through ebookers at all costs.

I have been a loyal customer of eBookers for more than 15 years, and I was truly saddened to learn about the closure of eBookers in Switzerland.
Over all these years, I have used many travel booking platforms, but eBookers has always remained one of the most reliable and trustworthy companies for me. Of course, as with any large company, there were occasionally some issues or questions, but what mattered most was that their customer service was always reachable, supportive, and genuinely tried to find the best solution. I always felt that they cared about their customers and were on the customer’s side.
What I especially appreciated about eBookers was their honesty and transparency. No hidden fees, no unexpected subscriptions, no unpleasant surprises — everything was always clear and fair. In today’s market, where many platforms automatically add subscriptions or hidden costs, this level of trust and transparency is truly rare.
The pricing was fair, the service dependable, and over many years eBookers earned my trust. That is why I feel especially sad to see such a serious and customer-oriented company leave the Swiss market.
Thank you to the entire eBookers team for many years of reliable service. You have truly been one of the few travel companies I could trust, and you will be greatly missed.

Null Kundenservice
Null Kundenservice, nutzlose Chats, unfähige Mitarbeitende - nie wieder ebookers/expedia! Eine bezahlte Flugbuchung, die bei der Airline nicht vorhanden war führte dazu, dass ich am Flughafen ein neues Ticket kaufen musste. Ebookers hat bis heute nicht auf meine Anfragen, Mail, Anrufe (die in endlosen Warteschleifen und den immer gleichen unnützen Gesprächen mit überforderten Callcenter-Mitarbeitenden enden) reagiert.

I have used ebookers for many years but will NEVER use it again. In fact I just deleted the app from my phone. It's a real scam. Tickets are cheaper most of the times but there's absolutely no customer service. Impossible to change or cancel a ticket. The app has not been working for three days (I need to change a ticket and keep getting the message "Sorry, we're having a problem on our end. Please try your search again later."). The same message for the last THREE DAYS. Do not use ebookers if you can help it. Definitely worth spending a little bit more and being able to talk to human beings when you need help. I'm disgusted by their customer service.

Yritin varata matkan Roomaan kahdelle hengelle marraskuun alussa.
Kaikki meni hyvin aluksi, sain erikoishinnan (ilmoitettu hotellin kuvien vieressä) joka oli 675 € per henkilö. Sitten täytin lennot - niistä tuli vähän lisämaksuja - mutta loppulaskussa hotellin hinta olikin 890 € per henkilö. Siis 200 € kalliimpi kuin ilmoitettu!

Ebookersin peruutusturva on huijausta
Jouduin perumaan lentoni sairastumisen takia. Olin onneksi ottanut peruutusturvan Ebookersilta varauksen yhteydessä.
Kun soitin asiakaspalveluun, ensimmäinen asiakaspalvelija, pitkän puhelun ja odottelun jälkeen väitti, että minun tulee ottaa itse yhteyttä Finnairiin ja perua lento.
Soitin. Finnairin asiakaspalvelija sanoi, että ei tietenkään, vaan Ebookersin virkailija peruu lennon.
Soitin uudelleen Ebookersiin, taas samat pitkät sepustukset ja odottelut. Kun vihdoin seuraava asiakaspalvelija,"Adam", sai lentoni peruttua, ja kun kysyin, miten peruutusturvaan liittyvä rahan palautus hoidetaan, hän sanoi: "Emme maksa peruutuksesta mitään!" Kun sanoin, että minulla on Ebookersin peruutusturva, hän sanoi, että minun tulee itse ottaa yhteyttä vakuutusyhtiöön!!!!
Ei kannata missään tapauksessa ottaa Ebookersilta ainakaan mitään lisäpalvelua!!! Eivät hoida asiaansa.
En ole varma, oliko myös tämä toinen asiakaspalvelija täysin osaamaton, vai onko heille tosiaan annettu tuollaiset ohjeet!!! Petosta mikä petosta. Jäi todella huono kuva Ebookersista. Vältän heitä jatkossa!!!

Nie wieder E-Bookers
Eine doppelte Belastung auf meiner Kreditkarte ist auch nach Wochen und wiederholten Reklamationen nicht gutgeschrieben. Der Kundenservice ist unterirdisch und einem solchen Unternehmen nicht würdig.

I am writing this as a strong warning to all travelers: NEVER book with Ebookers! They are not a real travel agency—they are online scammers who take your money and then ignore you when you need help.
We booked a round-trip flight with Air China through Ebookers. Our return flight was canceled by the airline. Ebookers sent an email pushing us to cancel instead of rebooking us. We have been trying to contact them for hours via chat and email, and they are completely ignoring us. No solution, no rebooking, no response.
They take your money, and when things go wrong, they disappear. Customer service is useless. They just leave you waiting. You are on your own if a flight gets canceled. They won’t help!
The only real alternative: Book directly with the airline.
Unexpected charges
After booking return conecting flighs from Brussels to Dublin which weren't cheaper, I returned from the funeral to find an extra 89.89 euro payment. This was not clear at the time of booking.

Flight Ticket Misspelled
I missspelled a Name on my Flightticket (i switched two letters). I tried to get it fixed directly by the Airline... but they told me they can't help me cause I booked with ebookers. After that I filled in two forms over a week in between them, so enookers would fix the name. I never heard anything from them, that's why I called them. They told me they can't see any filled in form and send me another form to fill in (apparently the one on the internet is the "old one"). I filled it in and send it to them. They told me on the phone, that they got it and will come back to me in 48 hours. They also told me, i most likely have to cancel my flight and book a new one (without getting any money back), because it is "too late" to fix the name (1 week before the flight).
I did not hear from ebookers in the next 48 hours and started losing hope. I called the airline directly again and told them what was happening... they were nice enough and fixxed the name for me for free... never got any message grom ebookers again... Worst customer service EVER

Ive been waiting for a refund of over 200 euro since August 31 of this year. Ive sent numerous emails asking for an update - the first was 17 days ago and each time Ive been told to wait.

Wollte ein Buchung für 8 Personen machen, geht aber nur für 6 Personen also brauche ich einen Mitarbeiter. Leider kann man niemand erreichen und über das Menü beim Anruf geht es nur wenn man eine Buchungsbestätigung hat, selbst wenn man "andere Anliegen" wählt. Man kann also gar keine Reise für 8 Personen buchen ohne 2 Buchungen zu tätigen und dann nicht zu wissen ob es verfügbar ist.
Be wary of ebookers closing
Have used ebookers for years and am currently a platinum member. I recently asked for the lounge vouchers I’m entitled to as a member reward only to be advised that there was a system booking error so they would credit points to my loyalty scheme. Sounded fine however as ebookers is closing down on 4th September and the 72 hours is now 6 days I would assume this is a rouse and there is no intent to honour this. I was about to book a hotel but the customer service and false promises have made me reconsider. Whilst ebookers (Expedia Group) have said bookings will be honoured if I had any I would cancel them as there is no support that I would trust in the future

never take airline credit from Ebookers. family booked to go to Chicago, However I had to pull out because of a issue with my gallbladder and knowing I would not be covered by heath insurance in the US. Flight cost €517.00 . got the credit told I could use it on any fin-air route. so after gallbladder was removed tried to book Dublin to Helsinki which is advertised around €370 euro even cheaper with Swissair €170. ebooker wanted another €500 with my credit of
€517 bringing a ticket they had advertised on their site for €370 to now just €1017.00
Its extortion. They never intend on you getting any of the value of you credit and I informed them over a month before flying so they resold my seat. to add to this my wife did take the flight , it was to a friends wedding. the flight to Chicago was cancelled and the put her on a much later flight to New York then on to Chicago missing the wedding . Not a great day.
Great service
Easy to book and more choice of hotels and flights than other travel agents. Had a problem printing my ATOL certificate but they went out of their way to solve the problem. Customer service was excellent

Very bad customer service, my flight was cancelled and they didn’t book me to a new flight from the same airways, so I contacted the airways and they booked me directly.
