Beginning to be concerned

Beginning to be concerned. Sent canine samples 7 weeks ago, from Ireland, supposedly, to Ireland. About 2 weeks later I recieved a sample recieved email.
Nothing since.....
I emailed last week, and this was the reply, which was from the UK:
Reference Number: EDLI-BRD157961IE and EDLI-BRD157960IE

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, there are no updates yet in your case file. As soon as an update is available, the admin team will let you know.

I am beginning to feel that this is a scam. I do hope not. Their website says results take 5 days.
Edit: it is now April 1st, and still no results.

I’d like to reassure you that your samples were safely received by the laboratory on 5 March 2026, and your case is currently progressing within the normal processing timeframe. For this specific analysis, the turnaround time is approximately three weeks from the laboratory receipt date, rather than the shorter timeframe mentioned on the website, which applies to other types of tests.

We also identified a small administrative issue on our side that affected the timing of one of the automated notifications you received. This has now been addressed internally, and I sincerely apologise for any confusion it may have caused.

Please be assured that this is not a scam, and your case is actively being processed. I am personally monitoring your file and will make sure you are updated as soon as the results are available.

We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed, but we’d like to clarify a few key points for future customers:

✅ We are not falsely advertising – our Terms & Conditions clearly state that EasyDNA is part of an international group with logistical offices across Europe (including Ireland) and accredited testing laboratories in the U.S. and EU.

✅ Not an Irish lab? Correct – Ireland does not currently host a local laboratory offering the advanced canine breed testing you ordered. For this reason, all samples are forwarded to our accredited partner lab abroad.

✅ Timelines – The quoted turnaround of up to 30 working days (from receipt at the lab) is stated clearly at purchase and agreed to upon checkout.

✅ The form – While simple by design, the breed identification form is part of the lab’s internal protocol and helps improve testing accuracy where applicable. The results are based solely on the dog’s DNA, not what’s written down.

Lastly, accusing a company of being a “total scam” is a serious and unfounded claim — especially when services were provided transparently and within agreed terms. If you still have questions about your results or experience, we’d be happy to assist you directly.

Paid for a test to be told while they…

Paid for a test to be told while they found DNA on the sample they needed another sample as it was not enough . They then charged me a further 30 euro . That one apparently never arrived and now even though i am not at fault they want to send me another sample kit out and to charge me again . I am beginging to smell a scam . Pay for your tests some where else . I have used another company before and i am sorry for this dog did not just go back to them . Stay clear of this one .
Adding on : since reply from the company. It is twice recharging for a kit that I find myself reviewing your company. 50 euros add on twice . That is why I reviewed in a negative way .

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that your second sample was sent using an untracked digital stamp, which is not a guaranteed delivery method. As per our instructions, we strongly recommend using registered post for international returns (Ireland to England) to avoid such issues. We cannot be held responsible for problems with sending back the samples to our offices.

In addition, kindly note that An Post advises a standard delivery time of 2–3 working weeks, and with public holidays approaching, delays are possible. Next week marks the third week since dispatch — if the sample has still not arrived by then, we’ll gladly arrange a free replacement kit. Unfortunately we have no control over the postal system.

We appreciate your patience and understanding. Please note that we are committed to providing a professional and transparent service and take any accusations made against our company very seriously.

Scam-take your money

Scam! Avoid at all costs. Bought a dog dna pack which said is valid until mid 2025. Unfortunately our dog last away a few months after getting the dna testing pack and we didn’t get a dog for another year and a half. Went to use the testing kit and was told they no longer run that particular test and they wanted me to pay for a whole new test. I paid 74€ previously and the new test was around 140€ they offered only a 10% discount. I wanted them to refund the original purchase as I didn’t want to pay nearly double the original value.

Joke of a company as it’s their issue for the service not being provided anymore not mine. Dont waste your money better options out there!

As per our Terms & Conditions agreed upon at the time of purchase (https://www.easydna.ie/terms-of-service/), all DNA tests have a three-month sample return period, and cases automatically expire after one year. This timeframe refers to the validity of the service, not the expiry of materials like cotton swabs. Unfortunately, once a test has expired, it cannot be processed, which is why we offered an alternative with a discount.

Really smooth and professional

The experience with EasyDNA was fantastic from start to finish. They made it really smooth for us to select the right test, order, conduct, and post back to the lab. We received our results within a week too which was amazing. Would highly recommend their services!

Shockingly bad

Shockingly bad! Tried to order two tests but the website is so bad you can’t order 2 tests without doing two transactions and paying for postage twice! Went to their online help was basically told if I didn’t like this process to go else were SHOCKINGLY BAD customer service AVOID this company!

Where do I even start..

Where do I even start... our pup had so many problems once he reached 4 months of age. He wouldn't stop scratching, biting paws, crying. He was so pitiful. We got the sensitivity results so quick! The test was very easy to order, I got the package in 2 days, sent it back registered post and 3 days later got email confirming that the samples were received and sent to the lab. Results were 3 days after the email🙌🙌🙌. It was so worth the money!! Now we can exclude from his diet and surroundings whatever he's sensitive to. I will definitely do the allergy test next!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH EASY DNA

Scam Company, Avoid!!!

After 8 weeks I received a notification that my sample had been received in the lab. Then a notification that the sample was not viable. That’s obviously the case if you wait 8 weeks before passing from their mailroom to the lab. Absolute scam company. Do not use!!!

I feel I have been scammed!


UPDATE:
After seeing my review, Easy DNA contacted me to offer a free retest. This took several weeks, but I did get a result. Only got the data no explanation, and a manual recommending books to decifer the results. These results were very vague, they consisted of just numbers and codes but no explanation of what these codes meant. I feel as though I am no better off. Not easy DNA unlike the name.
Ps i contaced Easy DNA through the Irish website, and it did not seem to be an Irish company at all, everything went through the UK.
I am very disappointed.

I feel I have been scammed!
I booked a lineage DNA from Easydna.ie for €129.00. I received a kit from and carried out the harvesting of my dna to the very letter of the instructions. I even enlisted the help of my adult daughter to make sure I did it correctly, I only used the kit that was supplied and returned in the supplied envelope. It was recieved on 20.12.23, on 05.01.24 I received an email to say the sample was insufficient and it would cost another €65.00 to continue (without any guarantee of success). I could not recommend this company to anyone.

Excellent service

Easy DNA were available to answer any queries I had relating to where my samples were and when I could expect results. The results were received sooner than expected which relieved some of the stress I was under to have them. I would highly recommend them to anyone
