Thank you for your review. We’d like to clarify a few important points to ensure accurate understanding.

For human DNA testing, EasyDNA is legally bound by the Human Tissue Act, which strictly regulates how samples are collected, handled, and tested. For this reason, mouth swabs are the standard and approved sample type for private testing. Hair samples are not routinely accepted for human DNA testing unless specific forensic conditions are met, as they often do not contain sufficient DNA and carry a higher risk of inconclusive results.

Additionally, consent from all tested parties is a legal requirement, not an optional company policy. We cannot proceed without it, as doing so would be unlawful and unethical. These requirements are clearly outlined in our terms and during the ordering process.

Regarding fees:

Any additional kit or change in testing type incurs a cost due to laboratory and administrative handling.

The £25 cancellation/admin fee is standard and transparently stated in our terms, which are agreed to at checkout.

While we understand this may feel inconvenient, these safeguards exist to protect all parties involved and ensure results are legally valid, accurate, and confidential. “Quick and discreet” does not mean bypassing the law.

Our team is always available to explain options before or after purchase, and we encourage customers to contact us directly so we can guide them appropriately.

We take all our client feedback seriously and address any issues. However, your review does not provide enough information for us to locate your case file and assist you further with your inquiry. Without additional details, it is challenging to address your concerns effectively.

We also requested further information via Trustpilot but you failed to provide this information to assist us with this case. We therefore feel this review is unfair to the company since we cannot address it.

Dear Sir

We are disappointed to hear your experience with our company has not been to your satisfaction. However, we respectfully have to disagree with your review. Our customer service team was always at hand to respond to your calls and emails in timely manner. The only time when they didn't is when you contacted us out of USA office hours (we do have staff covering these hours).

With regards to your requirements, we also want to clarify that we were constantly received conflicting information from your end. Whilst initially you requested an immigration test (which is what is required for entry into the USA) you then eventually changed this to a legal test. The two have very different protocols and procedures which our team patiently explained to make sure that you were aware of the difference and selected the correct test. Having decided to proceed with the legal test, our team then set up an appointment for the sample collection for all the participants. However, once all this was organised you refused to pay for the sample collection of the additional two participants despite our ordering process clearly indicated that they would incur additional charges. So having been through the process of processing and changing your orders, advising you at length and finally organising the sample collection you decided to cancel the test and request a refund which we also duly provided.

We can therefore confidently state that our team did their best to meet your requests and your review is, in our opinion, unfair towards our team that has gone above and beyond to provide you with the service. Still we do wish you the best of luck with your testing requirements and we continue to guarantee our clients that our company will always strive to provide the best service possible.
