Arrived in good time. But one end of the paper roll was covered in a black grease like substance.

As we do not open each roll of paper to check it is almost impossible for us to know if there has been a manufacturing issue, which it sounds like this is. These are extremely rare, but sadly do happen. If you had contacted us in the first instance then we may have been able to do something to help.
