Gorgeous boots! I am really pleased with the quality and fit of these beautiful, handmade boots. I have large calves and have struggled through the years to find the perfect boots for me, and I was looking for something to wear on those dog walks in the countryside on rainy days. Rip off. They make you pay $179 to return a $300 pair of boots. International shipping. I was just ripped off. So sad.

This was my first purchase from this company and wow !! I put them on for the first time and much to my surprise they zipped up without it being a marathon with lots of breaks in between the process.
Plus size ladies , particularly in Australia, take note these fit your calves AND there so competitively priced we don’t have to fib to the hubby.

I need wide fitting boots as I have toe arthritis after a sports injury in my youth. This results in a bump similar to a bunion. Because of this, my choice of boots, the hardest of all footwear to source, is very limited. I also live in North America but end up buying from the UK and EU making me pretty much never returning anything and just writing it off as a lesson learned. DuoBoots has accurate measurements on the website, more precise than most companies provide.

I have purchased two boots so far, and both fit perfectly, with excellent construction details. My most recent purchase was a new model, Agnes. When I opened the package, at first I thought I was sent the wrong size as the toe-box looked narrow. No, they fit perfectly. The boots have enough width and depth to handle my problem foot without pain or constriction and they fit the non problem foot fine with just a bit of extra room, that you can use an insole to remedy.

They amazingly do not look clunky and wide at the toe-box. Very few companies that sell wide widths know how to do this, make a "unicorn" shoe or boot that doesn't look obviously wider. The workmanship is excellent. The design of this boot was on trend with the chunky sole for good traction.

I have large calves. There I have said it. But I live a very rural life in very British weather and wanted and needed stylish waterproof boots. The market leaders are just too narrow (even In ‘wide fit’) So I bought Oakland boots in exactly my calf size. Now I cannot wait for the rain and snow and mud just so I can jump in puddles. And they are so smart. Perfect for a wet dog walk to the pub too.

Absolutely beautiful boots. I bought the grey jolene and am so impressed by the fit and quality. They far exceeded my expectations and I did not want to take them off as they felt so amazing on. The colour is beautiful and they are the perfect boot for what I have been looking for the last couple months to wear with my skirts and dresses. Nothing else I looked at hit all the marks but gee these do❤️ I’ve shown a few friends already today and they all agree they are stunning. Thankyou so much. As a teacher I need comfortable shoes as I stand most of the day and these felt like a perfect foot glove.

I really loved the boots when i bought them and was really impressed with the quality. However the buckle and strap broke for me just under a year after I had purchased them.

I understand these things happen, but the customer service is the reason for my 2 stars. I was responded to saying I could take them to a local cobbler to have these fixed. I took them to 3 different ones (in London so you'd assume they can do most things) and none were of course able to match the buckle and fix appropriately.

I then went back to DuoBoots and had to chase a few times before getting a very 'computer says no' message saying they don't do repairs (which I already knew and did not need to be reminded). I was expecting some alternative solution or suggestion given the boots are now unwearable after just a year. Even being able to send a buckle, suggest a local cobbler or something... i don't have the time to traipse around endless cobblers to find one who may be able to help (and then be out of pocket too).

Not impressed - they clearly do not want to look after their paying customers. I will not be purchasing again which is a shame as they have a great market niche.

Thought I'd order some new boots for Winter and notice that the calf measurement options are now reduced..I need 34cm width which is now no longer available?...this Company used to offer boots with calf measurements 2cm apart...but the sizing has been reduced so now no longer very bespoke...looking at Harper Boots which look lovely...but have decided that I won't be forking out almost 200 quid for a pair when they are not even made of leather! They need to be made to fit...and made if leather to justify these prices. Disappointed.

Avoid this company, I place an order for the Agnes Tall in Certosino, on the website they looked grey in colour, I received brown boots and the stitching was broken on the bottom. I pgone the customer service and was told they were sorry and if I sent the boots back they would send me a new pair out I asked if they could send the black as I don't want brown boots, she told me it was fine. I sent the boots back and received and email telling me I have been refunded I email to ask what happened and was told I have to buy a new pair, as I was exchanging colour and I never mention the damage on the boot, it's just the worst customer service and they just cannot do their jobs at all

Begin december bestelde ik een paar duo boots laarzen. Ik verwachtte dat ze nog in december geleverd zouden worden. Voor de brexit dus. Herhaalde malen heb ik gevraagd wanneer de levering zou zijn. Maar er waren daar problemen met COVID en expediteurs. Gisteren kreeg ik van de Nederlandse douane een bericht dat de laarzen in Nederland zijn en dat ik 63 euro invoerrechten moet betalen. Ik heb het bedrijf diverse mails geschreven maar ik krijg geen antwoord. Ik heb geen zin om invoerrechten te betalen omdat de levering veel te lang op zich liet wachten

Bought my 3rd pair of DuoBoots recently. Went a couple of days over their return period (14 days is just ridiculous) and emailed them to see if anything could be done about it. They completely ignored my emails. Tried to post a review on their website, as the boots were not well made (incredible narrow foot, and I do have narrow feet, and very loose around ankle) and the review did not get posted (my suspicion is they only allow good reviews, and the last one for these boots was posted months ago). Apalling customer care, so buy at your own risk

Love Ted&Muffy boots also their sandals, very comfortable and well made. Got to try before you buy as sometimes they differ in fit, but they are my absolute favourite.

Over the years I have bought boot and shoes from Duo, then Ted&Muffy, then Duo in the shop and on line. All the boots and shoes have been fabulous. Bought 1 pair of boots and 2 pairs of shoes last October and very pleased. I have boots which are 12 years old and still fantastic. So sad Duo has shut if I could would buy some more

I wish had the sense to check the last reviews here. I too received a sale email from Duo last week. I ordered a pair of boots, which only just arrived this morning, way too small, and with it a delivery note which says any orders after the 19th cannot be returned or refunded. I am absolutely livid!!!!! This was certainly not made clear to me at the point of sale and I now am seemingly stuck with a pair of unsuitable and not as described boots.

I have previously purchased correctly sized/labelled boots from Duo, three years ago when they were called Ted & Muffy, however this shambolic experience might explain why they have gone into administration. What a sad end for a company that seemingly started well....

Received an email last Friday 20th March about a closing down sale - I ordered a pair of shoes - arrived this morning and are way too small- on the delivery note it says any orders after the 19th cannot be returned or refunded!! This was not made clear at the point of order. They are in administration ** DO NOT BUY FROM THEM**

I was looking online for some slim fit boots and came across DuoBoots website, and decided to place an order. For some reason after I had placed and paid for the order I read some reviews on TrustPilot regarding DuoBoots and was a bit concerned about some of the comments. I decided to contact customer services and told them of my concerns regarding returns/refunds should the boots not fit. I received an email back almost immediately ensuring me there would be no problem and they were sorry to hear of the negative reviews. When the boots arrived they were too tight so I had to return. Again I contacted Laura in customer services who was superb I returned the boots and ordered another pair. They have now arrived look and feel fabulous and have received an email to say my refund is on it's way. I cannot recommend DuoBoots enough and their customer services are excellent.

Terrible Refund Policy
I purchased three pairs of Boots from Duo Boots on 21 October. All three pairs were tried on in my front room, and walked around to check the fit, however on doing up the pair called Raven, I noticed the zip was very hard to do up. No problem I thought send them back, which as they do not pay returns, was not cheap, and they only use collect plus which is not that handy!

We note that you returned your boots as the zip on the left boot was very stiff. Sometimes, this is usually the case and it will ease as it gets more use and the boots are worn in. Upon looking at your Raven boots more, we have noted that they have been worn and we are unable to accept them for a refund as this is not in line with our Terms & Conditions. We would like to send your boots back to yourself if you could please confirm your shipping address, that would be greatly appreciated.

So it looks like they are trying to wriggle out of refunding. Be very careful about making purchases as looks like refunds are not forthcoming.
As a post script, after ringing and emailing customer service, today I received a message saying they had re looked at the boots and they agree they have not been worn, and would be receiving a refund after all.

Wish i'd checked the reviews on here before buying as Duo only post the reviews they want to on their site. I have left 2 reviews now and neither are on the website because they were negative. The boots i ordered were far too small and narrow on the foot,no way could i wear them. The returns procedure is a joke, you have to pay £4.49 and then take the boots to a collect+ shop, my nearest one is 2 busses and a 2 hour round trip away. I actually bought 2 pairs of boots, the 2nd pair do not fit either but this pair are around 6cm narrower on the calf than the size i bought!!! Will leave a proper review for those once i have heard back from customer service.

I purchase the Kestrel Boots from Duo around a year ago, and as lovely as they are they really don't stand up to wear and tear. Within 5 months of having them I had to go to a cobblers to get the heel replaced as it completely wore down. Throughout that period I only really wore them to work, so I was not using them heavily. The soles are also extremely soft and often end up with stones stuck in them, leaving lots of indentations.

And after about 10 months, the stitching on the zip has come away from the boot meaning it jams when I try and do it up, so that's another thing I need to get fixed.

I understand that wear and tear happens, but for such an expensive pair of boots to not last more than a year is not great (especially considering I didn't wear them at all through the summer months!)

Disappointed as they are the first great fitting pair of boots I've ever owned, given that I have slim calves!

Edit: As they are now under new ownership I have been told they no longer carry out repairs and any previous agreement I had with them to carry out repairs will not be honoured. Very disappointed and won't be ordering from here again. I ended up making a successful claim back on my credit card.

I love Duo Boots, I now have four pairs, they are really fabulous quality and great fit. I have only experienced very good customer service so I’m surprised there are so many poor reviews and I’m hard to please!!
